HEY HEY! Guess who changed their cosplay line up AGAIN?! I did....

Instead of Marly (but I'm still gonna make the scythe.), I'm doing Rapunzel from Tangled. =D I'll have a sexy Flynn Rider with me, of course~ ^_^

I just mad a cig for my friend eiri yuki cosplay.

2) tea
3) suber glue
4) pencile

I took the penile to roll the baby and glue it toteahter then I took someing thing stop the bottum add Tea till its to the top super glue that WALLA isent cig

Clever. I always used costume cigs for my wolf wood costume as they look like they are lit but that's a good, cheap way to make some unlit ones.

I've just got my two cosplays planned. One of them will be made from scratch, and the other one is already partly done, just have to do some touch ups. When I have some money, I am deeeeefinitely starting on my Leia cosplay. ♥ SO excited about that one!

Making a death eater scythe and I have to admit that Maka has some killer moves on her.

Anyone ever work with Plexi before? I'm trying to deside on plexi or wood for the blade. I hear that cutting plexi is a pain in the badonkadonk.
I'm also gonna make Jade Curtiss spear. I want to make the spear out of plexi so I can put an LED in the pole and illuminate the spear blade. So once again. Any advice on plexiglas?

I have been inspired lately by movies. I looked into doing Rapunzel, but after looking at her dress and since I am doing Yuna already, I don't think I'll have time to do that.

SO I'm doing Rose from Titanic. Odd cosplay, I know.

I'm going to do her sinking dress, because it's the easiest and also it's my favorite, next to her party dress. :3

On the bright side, my taito cosplay also came, though we'll have to fix up the jacket so the number shows more. (and I'm still waiting for the wig) >.<

I also started working on my old old Duo Maxwell cosplay (even though I don't have the hair for it anymore, or a wig...I'll have to get one.) It started out as pleather, but it's cracking badly so we're redoing it over with black duct tape. We got most of the front done and a good portion of the back before we ran out of tape, so I'll finish it up when we buy more. I wonder if I should make pants out of duct tape as well.....*ponders*

If anyone is wondering, the eyeball and hand in the first picture of the Duo jacket is Titus. I decided to use her as a prop-up when all the pictures of the jacket hanging properly came out with too much glare and/or way too wrinkly to see properly.

Working on a Death scythe. Does anyone recommend a type of wood to use for the blade. I need something that is not too heavy, can sand and cut nice without splintering, and is more sturdy then balsa wood. thanks.

A piece of wood the size of Death Scythe's blade is going to be heavy regardless of what kind it is. You may want to look into other methods, like acrylic sheet or insulation foam.

I was thinking of acrylic sheet however everyone is telling me that it sucks to cut it. Would you know a place where I can get some that is not like plexi?

It takes a little getting used to, but cutting acrylic isn't that hard when you have the tools and know how to do it :\ You just need to go slowly with a jigsaw and not try to rip through it like a piece of wood.

You would have to search online for a sheet large enough to do Death Scythe's blade though.

Well i found PVC in sheets, however it's about $30 with $16 shipping. I'm hoping it's worth it. Will probably order it in a week or so. All the plexi and Lexan at home depot looks to be about twice that amount.

I hope in November I'll have the sewing machine. Currently I'm looking into starting Rose since all I need is a wig and the "Heart of the Ocean" necklace. Trying to find a good replica of it that is on the cheaper side.

Actually I found a place called Tap Plastic in Tigard that might be able to get this really cheap and cut it too.

I don't get my necklace cause another ebay bidder bid higher. They payed 50 dollars for a 99 cent necklace. T^T I even looked at others and the SAME bidder bid the same price on all of them.....

Secret Cosplay from scratch
TF2 Engineer Fem version. Need to hit up goodwills for outfit, get an old metal tool box and paint it, make a large wrench, and pick up a tool belt.
Trigun is already done (wore it at Kcon 2011)

This is going to be a buisy year. I'm excited now I have something to do with all my spare time.

Lots...but I'm giving the scythe and the spear to the ppl I'm making it for before then. So I will be emptying as I go along. But yeah my place is gonna be a huge mess while I work on these. LOL

PS does anyone else find the Funimation whisper "you should be watching" just a little creepy?

Our wigs and headphones for Taito and Luka (my sister's cosplay) finally arrived, so I'll be getting them tomorrow from the office. And we got matching pajamas for the Hetalia PJ party. I'll be putting up pics for you guys to see as soon as I can. ^^

Tomorrow I cut out death scythe blade. Taking a rediculous amount of pictures so I can make a tutorial. Chromophobic is gonna produce a youtube vid of the production. It gave me a good excuse to clear my studio floor.

Been watching soul eater for inspiration and I gotta say that Chrona has to be the sadist anime character I've ever seen. He beat out Gara for that one.

Sad...I've hardly touched my secret cosplay yet.

I made this costume today for a surprise costume contest at Gamestop to pick up my Batman Arkham city game. I'll be working more on this as the months go on, might bring it to K-con '12? all that's really left is to get a wig (not a nasty Halloween one that I picked up at the store), reapply the diamonds on the pants, get real boot covers (agian, not halloween ones that I picked up at store...), and make the arm warmers, along with a few other tiny details. Though I'll have to redo the pants too. Seriously I made this all in one day so I was pretty rushed.

PLEASE excuse the terrible make up, I didn't have any on hand and didn't realize how bad it was going to look until it was already on and time to go. XD (Also the wig - again, short notice, Halloween, it was that or dye my hair blonde and I can't really do that at this time. XD)

Not much progress in my cosplay making but I am going to have two "jobs" soon. One is tutoring my sister's friend, which i'm charging her for. The second is one of my siblings' friends wants me to make her a ballgown like dress as well as petticoat. I'm hoping to get some decent cash from it

Has anyone used the epoxy that comes in the two sided syringe? Do you have to mix it when it comes out or can you just apply it directly?
