What happened to m'post rating?
« on: September 05, 2006, 10:51:19 pm »
Okay, so I used to have the status of anime addict or something of the like, now I'm down to Otaku with three stars and I've posted 421 times. Now, I know it's not the most important thing in the world, but it's a bit unsettling. ^^;; So um, this happen to anyone else or am I imagening things? o_o;

BEHOLD THE POWER OF POCKY CLUB! MWAHAHAHAHA!
WE PWNZORZ UR PH0RUMZ!

Seriously though, I've heard of a couple people getting knocked down stars and have posts taken out of the counts by the new system. It seems that the babbling is not going to be recognized as much anymore.

It's kind of sad, I mean, I hat one word replies but things like the three word story thread are fun as long as they're in their place.

So, y'mean that if the post doesn't have enough words it won't count? Well that sucks, I mean, I don't really post short posts most the time anyways, but still, I can't help but wonder why my posts got knocked. =/ Ah well, just gotta earn back the stars I suppose. Thanks for the answers ya two. ^^

Each word in this sentence is an attempt to make a post long enough that it will count towards my post count and rating. (I hope it was a success!)

Ha ha ha! Awesome!

I just meant that a few people got knocked back by a mod who thought they'd been abusing the system. I'm just sayin' the rumors I've heard.

TomtheFanboy, I just thought I'd let you know that your avatar fills me with the kind of joy I thought only Pfizer could give me.

I'm glad I could help. If I can find the link i'll let you see the whole picture. I'll be showing all my pics from previous conventions once I get my pictures back.

The "rankings" were changed, simple as that. It now takes more posts to get to each ranking. Meg posted something about it I believe the week before the convention.

My whole account was lost so I'm having to start over as a piddly little worm. T_T I was pissed, but am simply happy to be back on the forums.

And me.  If it hadn't happened I would have almost 2000 posts by now.  It was just a little hiccup in the forum.

Okay...'cause I was confused and the same thing seems to have happened on all the con forums I'm on. ;_; but then again the person in control of the AO forums has done it more than once. >>;

Keeping phpBB up-to-date is essential. It's possible some rabid Disney fans or something was mad at anime for being so damn cool and exploited some bug in phpBB.. :(
