OMG IF I COULD, I WOULD @_@

I loveloveLOVE Doctor Who and Torchwood, but I'm Asian, so I can't cosplay anyone except Toshiko Sato from TW TAT

I probably wouldn't make a very good Toshiko either >.< Will you be cosplaying anyone from these amazing shows?

Yeah, I'm going as Ten.

I normally wouldn't start a cosplay thread about non-manga or anime material, but it seems like there aren't many people discussing DW, especially since there's at least a few Who cosplayers out there...

Anybody else?

I went as Doctor Who on one of the days during last year's Sakuracon. I think I am just now starting to recover from all the internal damage suffered while wearing it, that outfit brought about more severe glomps than all of my other cosplays combined. ^^;

Nnnn... I'm starting to have regrets about this costume...

But the only other option for my hair, the coat which I am determined to use in some way, and the massive amounts of hair gel I bought in advance is Captain Jack. Which... probably won't be much safer.

Ac-cepted.

My parents and I made a deal wherein I can skip school pictures if I promise to take some pictures of my Kumoricon cosplay, and I'm determined to make them good (so I can do it again next year.) A Rose would be helpful.

Also: Come on, people! You can't seriously expect me to believe there's only going to be two DW cosplayers at Kumoricon this year.

D: I have honestly never considered cosplaying anyone from Torchwood, and it's one of my favorite series. I am so ashamed. Sob.

But now that I've thought about it... it would be awesome. The only character I could do, and be even remotely convincing, would be Gwen, but she's not particularly my favorite character. D: Just the same, I'll consider it. [Somehow I don't think I could do Ianto, my favorite character...]

And if not, then expect +1 person for glomping. :D

So, does anybody have a time/place in mind for a photoshoot? Or should this be on the '09 Photoshoot thread...?

Oh my god. It's more than just me?! This puts me greatly at ease. This is my first convention, and I'm going with a friend who's on like her 8th, and she was warning me that I would be ALONE. :D Hi! I'm going to playing Ten, which I'm sure everyone is tired of, but seriously, I'm just excited to be going. I look forward to running into you guys at the Convention. Does anybody know if we're doing an official photoshoot for Who/TW/SJ? I didn't see us listed on the Photoshoot board.

Someday I want to go as a dalek...or a weeping angel... I even have a group that would want to go as fellow weeping angels.  However, arms painted grey probably won't mix with Artist Alley.

In honor of you guys, I'll..I'll make a dalek print at my booth.  Any other doable requests?

If I saw a Dalek cosplay I think I would die of happy. I love daleks. Probably a bit too much. Especially when they are badmouthing cybermen. <3333

But yes. I would totally buy Doctor Who art at the Artist Alley. I was hoping someone would do some! 8D

Request for art, if it's not too late? I like the Ninth Doctor... ^^;

Thank you so much, everyone~!

@Altoid: We're not on the photoshoot list yet - should probably get there sometime soon, though. Ideas for time/location, anyone?

@Seraph: Oh, I don't know. I've seen a couple decent Cybermen, though I agree that Daleks are best left to the experts.

E-LE-VATE! E-LE-VATE! E-LE-VAAAAATE! :)

@Serika: Mmmm... If it's not too late to ask - Simm!Master being appropriately psychotic, Reinette wearing something pretty (the French do know their clothes,) OR Vortex!Rose. Whichever you'd have more fun with. (The idea of Rose slowly burning up from inside out must have a certain je ne sais quoi for Rose-haters.)

And if nobody has any ideas for time/place of a DW/TW/SJ/K9 photoshoot, I can work one out. Granted, I'd need copies of the Con schedule and the Downtown Hilton floor plans, but I am capable

Hello everyone this is Animeman73. Cripes all this talk about Dr. Who I'm old enough that I remember Dr. Who #4 Tom Baker (Who in my opinion was the best). I'm currently hunting for the Tom Baker Dr. Who collection on DVD and think Amazon.com might be able to help, or perhaps another convention I attend  :D. Anyway it's nice to see people out there who are keeping the doctor alive. See you around.

I found my Rose jacket... but I don't know if I'm going to be able to pull if off since I just got laid off, so all the money I have has to last me for the rest of the things I have to buy for k con, my room fee and food and gas... =/

But IDK if the wig I choose isn't too pricey I can see about asking my dad... :3

@Dae: Okay, good. I keep checking the list and hoping that I'm not just blind. As for location, I don't know.

@Animeman73 As for Tom Baker's collective series, I'm not sure that there is a single definitive box set, but I have seen classic Who series at Best Buy and Borders, so I'd try either of those if Amazon does not yield results.

I am ridonkulously excited for Kumoricon. Seriously. Just insane amounts of joy.

@K-Rock-Inc: I like Martha, but not as THA DOCTOR'S LOVAH.  I'm interested to see how he meets.  Whatsernamefuturewife, because if he liked her enough to give her his sonic screwdriver... I'm not a Rose fan because she seems to have so little motivation other than LET'S HIT ON AS MANY BOYS AS POSSIBLE WHILE I HAVE A BOYFRIEND and Martha's like I'M GONNA BE A DOCTOR.  ON THE MOON.  I just can't like Rose with the Doctor because I like Mickey, and even if he gets angry all the time I want him to be happy.  Rose couldn't have been miserable all. that. time.  anywho... stupid reasons, i know.

@all requests: I'll do my best to draw a few of those, but I'm afraid I won't do them justice in my lame animu style.  Though I guess you wouldn't come to an anime convention if you hated it...hm.

I'll try to get some posters printed that are, in fact related to Doctor Who, and you should probably recognize them IMMEDIATELY, so that's how you'll know it's me. 8D and i'm not telling what the posters are of it is a mystery

Well, the deadline is in two days, so... Sunday, 4:00 PM, meet in front of the hotel? It shouldn't be as crowded A) by then, and B) on Sunday, and we can decide to take the pictures elsewhere if it ends up being too busy anyway.

If everyone's solid with this, I can post it on the official thread.

Aww, thanks! I'd be more than willing to do some holding hands-and-blushing type pictures with you... maybe not as good as a print, but good enough, yes? (If I manage to get the costume right, that is. I knew I should have done the haircut at home... the lady at the barber's made it too goddamn short. And I have no sideburns.)

@Serika: I do agree that the 'let's make flawed characters so the audience will identify with them!' companion concept should have died with Adric. I mean, bringing in Adam in the first season as a very quiet shout-out to Adric was reasonably acceptable, and ATMOS boy in season four was pushing it - but the incessant building on the trope (Rose being 'Adric for girls with issues!' and Martha being 'Adric for fangirls!') got very old, very fast.

It's why I loved Donna so much - because the authors made very certain, right off the bat, that people would be reasonably unlikely to slash her with the Doctor.

This is, however, me speaking critically... honestly, I'm one of those rarities who thinks all of the companions are equally fantastic. The 'everyday people learning to live a better life' story never gets old, even if 'the Doctor getting his heart broken by someone one-fortieth his age' story does.

No, really. Just... stop it, already. Please.

Sorry about the essay. They're a bad habit of mine. =)

Honestly I just thought Rose and the Tenth were cute in general... XD They had great on screen chemistry (not just what the script intended for either) and they played off each other really well in my opinion. But Martha... Martha just seemed to me like a wanna be Rose... and Donna. *happy sigh* GOD I loved Donna. I was sad to see her go...
