that sucks to hear that you haven't gotten them. I was so happy when i got mine. I got my wig and badge all in the same week.

I bought mine June 6th, and e-mailed registration on Wednesday or so but haven't heard back......should I start worrying yet? ^ - ^;;

I have yet to recieve my badge either. Its makin me sad and if I have to buy it anew Im goin to throw a hissy. Mine was bought in April.

I doubt they will make you buy a new one. All you have to do is email them with your information and I'm sure they'll get one to you. But don't take my word for this, I am not staff.

Yeah, what Nikkiolie said. Even under the most catastrophic of mess-ups, there usually won't be the need for someone to buy their badge twice. It just doesn't happen, but yeah, get a hold of staff to make sure you're on the up n' up, but I wouldn't worry too much.

you have to show up because we have to id you and make sure you are who you say you are and what not... don't forget your id's

sorry kiddos we've been swamped over here so we are trying our best to get back to you asappy... I don't live as near to portland as i would like just yet and it makes it harder to always get the info i'd like.. i have to work a bit around other people's schedules

pre-reg goes pretty smoothly and pretty quickly when things go as they should so regardless if you get your badge friday night or saturday morning it shouldn't take too long and we try to get as many of you through as possible in a short time. Last year went really well... wait time was hardly anything for pre-reg

I am pretty sure its a new lanyard this year but I don't know yet. Basically there is going to be a new thing this year that lets us know that you've checked in and that you're supposed to be there. It will probably be another different colored lanyard so I am gonna say no for now.

Every year will have a different coloured lanyard. It is how we know you are checked in.

No, we cannot give out extra lanyards. Lost lanyards will be treated similarly to missing badges.

well, if u think a few months wait is bad...my sister and I have been waiting for ours for 11 months. We pre-registered at last year's kumoricon and have been waiting since. Of course, I've been emailing the pre-reg. staff since may and all I get are non-definitive responses. I'm getting so frustrated to the point that I don't really care now. If it comes, it comes.

Registration Update:

Due to a long day with many busy volunteers, there are about 600 badges all stuffed and sitting in their envelopes right now. Mike and I will work on the double checks tomorrow. If all goes to plan, they should start to mail out Monday. Then we get started on the 150 or so new registrations that have happened since just Thursday.

We have the same problem,my parents are kinda worried cause we don't want to show up at the con with no badges.(Even though we emailed reg about it and talked in person)But then to go through the whole mess about us buying it at kumoricon last year at the con,I'm sorry if I sound mean i'm just worried. But since Rathany said they have alot of badges i'll wait till this week is up and hopefully they'll be here. $:-\$

Additional update:

I have found a few messages to registration in my spam filter. Both so far were from VIPs! One of the VIPs had emailed me 9 times. Am going through all of those hundreds to make sure I have not missed anyone. Until I have sorted all of these messages, working on this will be my absolute top priority.

We did that months ago. The first Kcon was just 400 people or so. We have more people Pre-Regged than total attendence the last time we were at the Double Tree, in 2005.

If our Pre-Reg numbers get higher than our 2006 total attendence (2257), I will either laugh or cry.

I think we may have broken 2,000 already. Wanna help us break 2257? Get the word out that Pre-Reg closes soon!

Also, stress heavily to everyone you know who is thinking of going that there is no guarantee that they'll be allowed in if they wait to register at the door. We'll be cramming all the souls possible into the space, but if you're not pre-reg'd it's a gamble.
