I'm gonna ask again my loves... please if you are gonna take a picture of your badges you need to take it at an angle so that the badge is not perfectly viewed. Sorry kiddos, but it would let me sleep better at night if you please altered the pics. <3

Yeah there are some nice features about having hard copy badges, like that its harder to ruin (it gets wet no biggie), its not easy or cheap to make fakes of, they aren't easy to alter (I wouldn't recommend altering we could possibly take your badge away) and they last so much longer than paper badges ^_^ <3 they are totally worth it!

We'll get them either the last meeting before con or at the precon meeting on Friday (or if you can't show up until Saturday, then Saturday morning). At least that's how it was done last year.

yeah staff badges won't be out til later but it might be good to get your image stuff done sooner rather than later...

I sent my picture in about 20 minutes after the topic was posted. ;P
5 of those minutes were spent cropping it to the right aspect ratio.

Do you know when Tier 3 badges will be sent out? I got mine at Sakura festival at Uwajimaya in April and I was just wondering if I have to wait till August (like I was told there) or not.

First half of of tier three should be out fairly soon.... I don't know how far into the badges that goes, but I will update when I know for sure....Staff badges just take longer because they are 1 specialized for the staff members and there are other hoops we have to jump through. Besides we really don't need the badges until Late August anyway because if they get lost they are much much harder to replace than a regular attendee badge.

I was just asking in case it got lost in the mail or something. If I were to get it in late August there wouldn't be much time to get it replaced and I may have to wait in line (which is what I am try to avoid). I have faith in everyone but I just want to be prepared.

Oh its not a problem. I completely understand your concern nikkiolie. I wouldn't worry about it though. Badge problems for regular attendees can be solved fairly quickly and fairly easily. I doubt there will be many problems anyhow. Put your mind at rest ^_^ all will be well....

Andrew has Chris's info and we should be getting his badge out after K-Lite. If he has it printed already we might be able to get it to him at K-Lite.

If anyone else registered at con and has not gotten thier badge yet, please email registration@kumoricon.org so we can sort out what the difficulty is.

I still haven't gotten my badge, just wondering if it got sent to the right address? XD;; I can't remember if I put my box address or my home - if it's the home, we've long since moved and that would bode not very well. D:

I have mine, and it's safely hidden in the manga my friend gave to me when she went to Italy. I can't lose it because I can't forget it's in there and read it and have it float away because I can't read it. XP

I will ask and get back to you, generally though I wouldn't think it would be a problem as long as all the info we need is there and filled out. If the friend is under 18 she/he will still need to have a parental form signed by her/his parental unit still. Like I said though I will ask and get back to you.

lol, k tier three mailouts should be soon for those that registered at the beginning of tier three and we will try to do fairly regular mailouts after this point.

IF YOU PRE-REGISTERED AT CON, IN TIER ONE OR TWO AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR BADGE IN THE MAIL PLEASE LET ME KNOW...
The sooner we take care of any issues with your badges the smoother things will go for everyone before the convention. Please don't wait til the week before the con to take care of business. Be able to show off your badge to your friends asap!!

(If you've already mailed us about your badge, wait alittle while, your badge is most likely being taken care of fairly soon and will be in the mail asap, if you've not emailed us or msged us please do so)

Also if you have pre-registered or plan to and are under 18 please remember your parental permission forms need to be signed by your legal parental unit.

I am almost certain that it is safe to say that it is alright to buy a badge for another person as long as the information is complete. I know at another convention I've bought a badge for someone else. I suppose it would be like your mother buying you your badge. As long as the information is all there I don't see a problem with you purchasing a badge for your friend. Just please note that if your friend doesn't want the badge (not that that is very likely), but just so you know you will not be able to get a refund on the badge.

I suppose the easiest way to do that would be to pre-register her/him online. Make sure the badge name (nickname) is something they aren't gonna want to change because fairly soon printouts will be quickly and it won't be easy to change it if the badge owner isn't happy.

Yup. Unless you are 12 or under, in which case you need a parent or guardian.

As in a panel? I am 99% sure the answer is yes, but Jaki is the one to talk to about this. You'll find her email on the contact page. Though, I am sure our 18+ programming manager would be very happy to have another panel
