BUMPIN' THIS BACK TO THE TOP

So, a few weeks ago I went out of town to get a prom dress and decided to stop by Joann's to get some new fabric for Rachel.
The new fabric is wayyyy closer to her jacket's shade of green, which I'm very happy about

I also finally figured out how to attach an elastic waistband to a jacket, so hopefully I can finish Rachel this weekend!

well, almost. It needs a few touch-ups, but I'll need a new sewing needle first (mine broke on the very last stitch)

Nice!!!! I saw that on that lovely site we go on :3 Looks nice~ If you wanted to try the only thing I could suggest about it would to put in ribbed fabric in place of the elastic. Not because it looks bad, just more accurate if you wish. That may be more trouble then it's worth though.

Finding Tic's wig is becoming a very large pain.....but I won't give up!
I just found some fake blood to add to the shirt, I should do that sometime today.
Um.....besides that the pants are finnished (Raised/Hemed) and right now I'm trying to figure out how to make fake scissors.
Any ideas would be nice.
But every time I pick up scissors when in my half-assed Tic cosplay....I feel like an awkward version of Sweeney Todd. "My arm is complete again". XD

I made a Baccano! bro on cgl and she showed it to me and let me steal it. I'm gonna ask her if she plans on making more. How's cosplay going for all of you? I'm nearing a point of wearable Miria. I'm still going to need to reconstruct the whole top of it before Kumoricon and it's getting a little confusing...

M'basically the same. Jacket not finished and I'm having trouble finding a wing-collar shirt to wear. Catching up in school has taken over m'time but in a couple weeks it'll all be devoted to whoring myself out for money (aka finding a job), putting my portfolio together, aaaaaand... working on cosplay!

My cousin Shelby doesn't plan to do Miria anymore, since her Isaac can't make it.
So, I asked her if she'd do Nice, and she said sure.
So as long as her and I can get together a Nice cosplay for her, she's willing to do it. ^^

As for other people, I really don't know. I am working on convincing my friend Irene in to being the adorable asian waitress from the end but she's not going for it.

I found a VINTAGE 1930's winged collar (the style he has) dress shirt for Czeslaw. However, it doesn't have buttons. Czeslaw's has buttons. THE VINTAGE ITEM IS INACCURATE?!

I cried a little inside.

Hahahahahaha, very true, though the thought of actually doing that to a vintage shirt makes me cringe slightly. Most screens of Czes you can't even see the buttons so... I'm gonna make a referee call here and go with it. Especially since this shirt is the cheapest I've found! Darn formal shirts with their hard to find collars~

And if worse comes to worse I could just always attach buttons.

I say go for it too. If you actually look at official art, you can't even see buttons on any of the characters shirts, just on their jackets.

Yeah, in Czeslaw's official lineart there's ONE drawing where you see buttons but all the others - nada. I went ahead and put a bid in, a lot cheaper than the "buy now" price, and it ends in less than a week~ =)

So my shirt for Czeslaw came in the mail today and I wanted to take a photo but... it came with no fastenings??

Easy remedy but still a little bah. And I might need to take it in a little bit - wasn't expecting that at all.

On a side note: My sister watched Baccano with me! We've been watching it for the past few nights and she actually likes it a lot!!! (She doesn't watch much anime anymore and is a little picky, hahaha.) And since we watched it in english I taught her all the fun japanese phrases, haha, it's awesome.

The bottom ruffle on my dress, I was in cosplay chess and I fell on the ground so save Isaac and it ripped. I also scuffed my shoes a lot and I want to play with my wig a bit.

Double posting. My dress stayed together (the top part that is) at AX so I don't think I'm going to be reconstructing the top (I'm po'). So besides messing with ways to wear the wig and touching up the paint on my shoes Miria is 100%. Now just to finish my other half.
