@ Pein- That was the plan. I just need to find the meeting place per say. I haven't been there in awhile and I forget what is around the area, and I'd prefer we don't meet by the zoo seeing as it is a Saturday and it's going to be crowded as hell. I need to go there soon and see where we can meet.

Sorry you can't come Konan, hopefully you have fun doing whenever you decide to do. I'm going to make a list on the first post of who is coming/not coming.Tell me if I forgot you.

Also Shinigami_Lover, I think Arcanine would be cute.

I also am not sure who is coming or not anymore since it's been a long time since this has been posted. Could you guy please post if you are confirmed or not and your Pokemon? Thanks guys!

Hey, I will probably go as Teddiursa or as like Raichu. I don't know yet. If I can't get them done in time I'd like to go as a photographer or as one of the trainers. I think I could get like May/Haruka or Dawn/Hikari done in time.

I've got a bunch of my buddies coming as well but I need to figure out who will be who (and who's costumes I will be making). Also, next Tuesday I'm going to drop by the park on the way home. I'll figure out a spot to meet-up at and take pictures of it. I'll also find a place close by that we will end up going to.

If anyone knows of a good way to tint steel on a budget (11 pink, 14 blue), I can do Skarmory.  I've got about 40 square feet of 26 gauge steel and wouldn't mind putting it to use.

My Skarmory used to be in my Silver tournament party until I discovered the versatility of Dragonite.  I still sometimes use Skarmory when I really need a steel type, but usually I use Kadabra for Psychic and Dark, 3 Dragonites for Flying, Dragon, Fire, Water, Fighting, Grass, and Thunder, Tyranitar for ground, rock, poison, and water, and I leave the 6th slot open.  Usually I can cover all but one or two elements. :>

I figure it's acceptable for me because I'm treating it as a gaming cosplay.

I might also make it adaptable to be a Kushala Daora armor cosplay (Monster Hunter).  That way I could cosplay from 2 of my favourite video games. :> (I could probably also do Warlords with the same plates; do a Slayer Knight cosplay or something.)

Double post that I might edit later if no one posts after me.

Found a good spot for us to meetup. I walked for awhile to find the place I originally liked but I figured it would not be fun to walk to in costume. I'll post up pictures/directions after I rest.

I doubt I'll walk there wearing everything.  I'll probably just wear the gauntlets, greaves, and plate, then put on the shoulder plates, wig (if I don't just dye my hair; that's the colour I want anyway), tasset, and helm later.

I'm going to be doing a Skymin cosplay, and I'd love to go to this, but... I work on the twenty-second. At the Oregon Zoo, conveniently enough. If I somehow get the day off or get out of work early, I'll definitely go, though! I'd love to meet up with some of you people if you wouldn't mind me joining you.

And I'm going to sit my ass down right now and get working on directions.

EDIT: Done! I got everyone in the list updated too. Let me know if I missed you/don't have the right Pokemon. And feel free to ask any questions about the area and such.

For the ears, I'd use felt around a thick wire frame.  Copper wire tends to be both firm and malleable, so I'd use that.  With the angling of the ears, you probably want to make the wire frame so that it sits with a wide base on your head, and build it into the wig if you're using one. (I don't know how you'll do the costume without one)  A headband would probably slip a lot.

A head band won't slip too much if you don't a buy a crappy one Griff. Just make sure to color it the same color as your wig/hair. You can even you a really thick interfacing on the inside of the ear to help hide the appearance of the wire inside the ears (It will also make them nice and stiff). I'd stay away from felt if you have any sewing skills, it just looks a little tacky in my opinion. Broadcloth and cotton has a verity of colors and works really nice with accessories and such. Also, copper wire is excellent for stuff like this as Tofu said. You can get it at Home Depot for about 18 cents a foot depending on the thickness of the gauge.

As for the tail, you can look up tutorials on the internet on how to make a Halloween cats tail and base it on that.

Ok well i was not thinking of a headband or a wig. I was going to us a hoodie and sew the ears into that. as for the tail i was just going to make that from scratch. although I could put a headband into the hood so i could attach the wire to something besides my head XP

I might do Lairon instead of Skarmory.  Hair colour and length is right and I wouldn't have to go through the hell of trying to stain steel pink. D:

Most craft stores have it next to their other paints :3 I've even seen it at Joanns. Just look for one that says 'glass' or 'transparent' or something.

Jameson, you can totally use some of this for your glasses.  I think the pink would be the right color, and it would look TOTALLY pro. :>

Well, I could probably use a red paint.  I imagine a lot of color would be lost when painting on steel because it's a much denser surface, so it won't absorb nearly as much.  Pink might be too pale anyway.
