All right, I've waited long enough for someone else to do this.  xD  I know I'm not the only YGO fan out here!  I met some last year!

So, the question is: are you cosplaying from a YuGiOh series?  Any of them?  (Original/DM?  GX?  5D's?)

...And do you want a photoshoot that will actually happen this year?

As for me, my cosplays are almost all related in some way.  (There's only one on this year's to-do list that isn't!  xD)  I'm planning on Izayoi Aki from 5D's (dub name: Akiza Izinski), Rally Dawson from 5D's, and Mana from the original.

But clearly, I love YuGiOh and would be ridiculously happy to see more of it around the con.  Especially in the form of a photoshoot - the one at SakuraCon was a lot of fun!  (A meetup is Fine Too~)

Yea, there was a really good Yami at SC '08. She even had the red eye contacts-- and the spiked hair looked like her real hair. She was also super skinny like him @_@...

I think if I'm going to be Atemu, I have to make absolutely sure I'm going to wear it XD

Well I tend to have flaky friends so I'm not sure if all those that we have will stay that way.

We have a seto, a mokuba, a shadi, a mako tsunami, The "attention duelist's" guy, a possible yami, and a possible jou. I really hope to have a jou by then, I don't think my friend will do it. :/ I still have some friends that are pondering whether or not they want to do it. but I have a goal to get the whole cast in one setting at one time. main roles and minors. XD

Yes they can but the girls that I'm asking or that want to cosplay from the series are like "I want to strictly be a girl". which only leaves anzu, serenity, mai valentine, and that little girl rebecca. oh and dark magician girl if their up to it. but I really just want the actual cast that talks and cracks jokes.

I was thinking a mixture, because THEN it shall be the best thing EVAH.

This year will be my first Kumoricon, and I plan on cosplaying Ryou Bakura this year. I have been thinking that people would be looking at me funny, because they probably did not think that people cosplayed as Yu-Gi-Oh characters anymore. It would be funny, you know? "Look, it is that one guy from that one show, back when I was, like, five! Yu-Gi-Oh! Yeah, that show!"

Most of my friends do not even know that there are multiple series, and none of my friends will even be going to the convention with me, so I will be kind of alone. That is why I am really hoping to be able to volunteer.

Currently, I am actually working on my Millenium Ring. Even though I know that it will not be as good as any other Bakura's, it is still fun to make, even though it is not very "professional" looking. This is my first cosplay, too, after all.

I hope to be volunteering this year, but, either way, I also hope to be meeting lots of people, especially many Yu-Gi-Oh cosplayers. Don't be scared if someone dressed as Ryou comes up and says "hello" and runs off, or asks for your autograph, or pictures, or a hug, or something. I am shy, but I am hyperactive and fairly amusing.

Also, watch out for Bakura fan girls. xD  I might actually be one, myself, so be on the look out for people asking YOU for pictures. ^^

Akesukeru ~ Thanks to the Abridged Series and 5D's, there are getting to be more of us.  xD  Good idea cosplaying to your first con, though, you'll have an epic time!  (Especially as Ryou, I hear they get stopped a lot for pictures and things.)
Also, I'll probably be likely to flip out over any other YGO cosplayers I see so don't worry, I won't be scared at all.  Maybe a little shy, but not scared.  ;D

As for 2010, there'll definitely be an Aki there *points to self* and possibly a Divine to go along with her~  If I get that done for my friend, who agreed to do it because Divine is totally her favorite character from 5D's.  (And eventually I'll be trying for one of his cards, Magical Android.  She's a toughy and will require much wonderflex.)

...I am excited.

And pssssh, Magic.  Nothing is nerdier than YuGiOh! (And it has more "proud to be" nerds, from what I've seen.)

Honestly, I just started liking YuGiOh in 2006.  :D  This is the longest I've been in a fandom, ever.

As for my favorite characters, I tend to like those I cosplay or want to cosplay...

For DM it's mostly Yuugi, Pharaoh, and Mana.  Mostly because the only story arcs I've watched fully are through Duelist Kingdom and Memory World.  xD  Also Marik - the good side.  He's such a sweetie in the Japanese version.  |D

For 5D's (I never watched GX.  Couldn't get into it), I like Aki, Ruka, Divine, Crow, Yuusei...the list goes on and on.

On the subject of the card game:  I suck at it unless it's a video game.  xD  I'm pretty okay if it's Nightmare Troubadour, Sacred Cards, and now Stardust Accelerator - except that's the one I have in Japanese and my winning is pure luck. 
(But my favorite cards are Black Rose Dragon, Spirit of the Breeze, and Magical Android!)

I really like it - it goes by the real rules, has good graphics, and if you duel a character enough you make friends with them.  :D  Also, you can't mess up with the card game's phases because it goes through semi-automatically.  (The only times you have to choose are battle, main phase 2, and end)  The only things I don't like about it is that after a certain amount of duels, you're forced into the plot with the Ghouls/Rare Hunters and get a game over if you lose, and you can't choose to be a girl.  [But you can be a girl in Stardust!  Customizable appearance, too~]

(In cosplay news, I know where to get gold leaf now.  This means I can probably use it on my Aki pendant if I make that out of resin.  :D)

I think it would be amazing if somehow a Yu-Gi-Oh group could be set up. At the convention, or even beforehand, a big group of Yu-Gi-Oh cosplayers get together to take pictures...that would be so cool. It is one of my dreams.

I finished my Millenium Ring today! ...Kind of. I forgot to put a loop at the top for the string/chain to go through, so I will just be wrapping a string around the ring, instead. I will also be ordering my wig soon, too, even though I have no idea what I will be doing to it to style it. Maybe I will end up massacring it. We will see, I suppose. I am also tempted to wear a pair of blue plaid pajama pants to the convention...not because they look like Ryou would wear them, but just because...I like them, and I am not really sure as to what kind of pants I would like to wear for my costume. I am fairly sure that I will not be wearing them, but...it would be nice.

Some of my favorite cards are the Silent Magician, Celtic Guardian, Dark Magician, and Magician of Black Chaos (I have a "thing" for magicians, I guess). It would be awesome to make costumes of each, but, of course, I should really just concentrate on the one I am working on now. I have a round head, for some horrible genetic reason, so I have a feeling that my Ryou costume is going to epically fail.

Also, I was just going through my cards, and both the Enemy Controller and Black Magic Ritual, and maybe even Swords of Revealing Light, look like they could be possible awesome props! The Enemy Controller is pretty cool, I have to admit.

I, too, plan on hugging many, many people. Hopefully.

I plan on hanging out with whoever would like to. I should probably think of some sort of fairly distinguishing mark for my costume, but, all I can think of is...blue plaid pajama pants! Really! I also almost always wear two colorful, small-beaded bracelets on my left wrist, and three rings on my left hand, so, if I am allowed to wear them, I plan on doing so. Cosplay or not, I almost always wear them. If it looks too out-of-the-ordinary, though, I guess I will not wear them. I also do not plan on bringing and/or wearing my duel disk; it seems like a hassle to carry around everywhere, and also having to go through prop-check.

Which Limey-man shirt? The blue-and-white-striped one? They really do treat Bakura awfully sometimes, especially in the Abridged series...making fun of him for not getting enough screen-time. 

I agree with Kagome on having a meet-up.  It would be so beneficial to the people who have no idea what to do, really...which by "people," I, of course, mean "me."

I'm totally biased when it comes to 5D's.  I love it and think it's one of the most epic things I've ever seen.  It's like, "card games on motorcycles?  Are you SERIOUS?" at first, but then you see that it includes a lot of social issues and has dark situations and people actually dying and it's just...wow.  xD  I got one of my friends into the fandom just by talking about it - she hasn't seen one episode!

But...I love the coat tails of doom! I really do. I honestly have no idea how people make that coat, though... If I ever cosplayed as Kaiba (which I would absolutely love to do, but I am really short, and not to mention he is mean, and yet I love him so), I would probably just buy it. When I first saw Kyle's Kaiba cosplay, though, I kind of imagined that he kind of used some kind of wire for the coat tails of doom to keep their shape... Wow, now I am pretty curious.  Then again, I also like the one he wore during Duelist Kingdom, but...coat tails of doom! Doom! 

I got my Bakura wig the other day, and I have to say, it looks really nice. I had planned/hoped on styling it and cutting it all along, but it is indeed kind of risky... I really do like it the way it is, anyways, but if I do end up attempting to slaughter its beauty, I shall try to enlist assistance from someone.

Now I just need to get an overshirt and a pair of pants secure, and then, other than the possible slaughtering of my wig, and sealing of my Millenium Ring (it is turning everything gold), I am finished! Though it is extreme wishful thinking, I would love to also secure a Duke Devlin and Johan costume by KumoriCon, but, like I said, that is extremely wishful thinking. Someday, though...I would really love to.

I am a huge fan of cosplay, and I have never seen a Mai in the history of forever. Sure, if I searched on Cosplay.com, something is bound to show up, but I have never heard about anyone talking about cosplaying as Mai, or having a friend doing so, or even seeing someone doing so. I am sure that some people have seen Mai's, and while this year's KumoriCon will be my first convention, I really am just amazed, just like when someone was talking about how one of their friends wants to be Mako. That is really cool, and of course you do not wish to anger your Joey.  Rage of the Brooklyn variety, you know?

When I read your post, I had a feeling that it was you.  I bidded on your costume, and I was the highest bidder for a while. I was about to win about half an hour before the bidding ended, but then I passed out from lack of sleep (because I was up all night looking for cosplay, and I found said one, and then I spent the rest of the night brainstorming ways to afford it, and how to get or make a Millenium Ring). I had three-hundred dollars ready to pay, and everything. I should have bet at least two-hundred. [/fail] I was so upset like you would not believe, but looking back, it was hilarious, because I totally tweaked out. Although, something good definitely came out of it all: I was forced to make my own cosplay, which has so far been a good thing. And seeing your costume on eBay in the first place is what inspired me to start cosplaying, so thank you for that.

Whoever bought your costume should come to KumoriCon wearing it, even if they live across the country, in another country, et cetera... They just should. I never got to see it in person, as I really would have liked to.

I would love to go to Sakura-Con, but that is like...in Seattle, which I believe is about a four hour drive from Portland. I refuse to learn how to drive, but if the people I know who usually go to Sakura-Con go next year, I guess I should try to catch a ride with them, though my friends conveniently always end up with "no room." >_> I checked the stats for attendence on Wikipedia, though, and it is over twice as many as last year's KumoriCon, so even more Yu-Gi-Oh! cosplayers in ratio, which would just be amazing to me.

I took some horrible pictures with my horrible webcam, but, other than that, no pictures. XD I doubt I'll post those, though...at least, not here. I don't really consider my costume "completed" yet, so I would definitely feel insecure posting pictures, also. XD This is my first cosplay, after all, and nobody is helping me, so I'm kind of just running around in circles. I am working hard on it, but it would be so much more simple if I weren't so unintelligent. xD If you come to KumoriCon this year, though, that would definitely be awesome. ^_^

Yeah, I actually found a pretty good way of making the Millennium Ring with clay. I did accidentally use spray-paint intended for metal, so it's kind of oozing onto everything that I put it on, so I need to get some sealant soon. I kind of wish that I would have taken more time on it, because I was just so excited that I did it all in one day, but it looks really nice, regardless.

She should wear the costume; I would love utterly love her for it. I will give it my most prized possession, I swear I would. I don't know what my most prized possession is, but it's probably either my laptop, Wii, or Twilight Princess. Besides, everyone I know who cosplays and goes to conventions, whether it be the few people I know in real life or online, have all met you in your Bakura cosplay. I really am so short. When I do get a Jack cosplay, whether it be this year, or another, I plan on titling it on DeviantArt and Cosplay.com as "EPIC PHAIL JACK." Ryou Bakura, or Yami Bakura? I think someone else other than me said that they were planning on being Ryou, but, then again, that was probably you. XD Anyways, tons of Ryous running around would definitely be cool, though! To me, at least. Infiltration! All your base are belong to Ryou Bakura. I probably could buy the same wig that I did for Ryou, and just style it into oblivion for a yami-do, but, I probably won't end up doing that, because I would rather have other cosplays, too. It takes about half an hour to get to the downtown area from my house on the MAX, so I could fairly easily change, but...I guess I would have to walk quite a ways, if I felt the compulsive need to change constantly. Besides, all these lights need a dark. Utter fluff chaos insues without one, I'm sure. XD

Actually, if there isn't a Yami Bakura this year, and I can scavenge the correct scraps from the mass of random that is my room, I might make a doll to lug around. I don't know about you, but I think that would be really cute. XD

I took some horrible pictures with my horrible webcam, but, other than that, no pictures. XD I doubt I'll post those, though...at least, not here. I don't really consider my costume "completed" yet, so I would definitely feel insecure posting pictures, also. Yeah, I actually found a pretty good way of making the Millennium Ring with clay. I did accidentally use spray-paint intended for metal, so it's kind of oozing onto everything that I put it on, so I need to get some sealant soon. I kind of wish that I would have taken more time on it, because I was just so excited that I did it all in one day, but it looks really nice, regardless.

I don't know what my most prized possession is, but it's probably either my laptop, Wii, or Twilight Princess. It could definitely work for a Bakura cosplay, but it sits on its wig-head, wigging it up, and I was wondering if, in your opinion, I should attempt to style it? The pictures don't always have to be great. Sure! We all wish we can show off better images of our costumes or costume props to people but some times you have to work with what you got. Well your costumes doesn't have to be complete to show off pictures. Showing off progress pictures gets people eager to see the completed work. Well I will most likely be coming by. I have everything planned out/paid for so I should but we will see what happens from now until con time.

I checked out the picture of your ring. Not bad for a first attempted. It looks pretty decent. Good job! If you are anything like me I bet a year from now you will be looking at your ring while saying to yourself, "I can do better." and prove yourself right by making a new one 10 times better than the first. I say style it. Bakura hair has a lot of spikes to it. So you would want to try and recreate that. There are sites that can show you how to style wigs. Take a look around and see what you can find or if you have a pretty good idea on what you want to do go with that.

One last thing.....

I agree with Kotoumi. Don't sell yourself short and please don't insult yourself either. You new to the cosplaying world. You haven't had a chance to spread your wings and see what your capable of. I'm sure once you get out there you will surprise yourself. Trust me on this!

Thank you for being honest. I really appreciate it. I definitely believe that I can do better now. I would probably have a go at another attempt of a Ring, but I only bought one metal ring. Proportions and I aren't too good of friends. I apologize for being negative yet again, but, this time, it's really true. I'm sure that, with practice, I could definitely make a better proportional-ized Ring, and a better Ring, in general.

It definitely is a cosplay dream! I don't know if I would want to surpass you as Bakura, though. Although, if it is a positive goal, I guess it could be something that I work towards for someday, but what I dream of is doing my best this year, having it be good enough to my standards, and then growing from my experiences. The only blue fabric I can find for a Bakura doll is a light blue, so, I could either design him new clothes, improvise, or make a different one of his outfits. I was looking into a Hell Johan cosplay a few hours ago, and inquired about it to the seller about shipping prices/times and materials, and such. I thought that it was really sweet how they answered my first question: "We love animals; there is no animal material used in this, nor any other costumes that we have made." And the costume costs one-hundred-and-five dollars, including shipping! That's insane! And the seller has 99.7% positive feedback, too. I would love to buy it, but, until I can secure a wig and/or commissioner, I don't think so. >_> Contacts would also be an issue. Then again, a wig might be, too, considering I have pretty long hair. Just follow your muses. With Ryou, Johan, and Jack, it's like...I feel like I have to cosplay them, in this odd way. I feel very inspired by them to portray them, and attempt to serve them the justice that their character deserves. Do you feel that way with Mai, Bakura, or both? Neither? Like I said, follow your muses. I wouldn't spend so much time working on a cosplay if I didn't love the character.

If you would like me to possibly help you brainstorm on the cosplays, though, I would be happy to! Personally, I think that Mai would be a challenge, but a very pleasant cosplay to see! As with Bakura...I would love to have a Bakura twin, or a yami. I would personally work on both alternately, as I am with Johan and Ryou, and then, by the time of convention, you'll have done whatever you have done, and, if one isn't completed, you can just go as a work-in-progress. (I have heard of people doing that, at least.) Or, you could wait until next year's convention to be them. But, you stress that money is an issue, so, hm...

Do you plan on going to any of the meet-ups that people have been talking about in the Plan Your Own Adventure forum? I'd like to, so maybe, if you live in the Portland-ish area, we could meet up there, and discuss your Mai and Bakura cosplays. I've also been talking to a photographer friend of mine about doing a photoshoot downtown, but that would probably be too late for me to help you (beginning to mid-August, when I have my Johan cosplay).

Four Kaibas, two Joeys, and...two Bakuras! Of course Bakura is absolutely relevant to this predicament. If Bakura is not relevant, he makes himself relevant.

I think that most people have body-image problems...I guess it's just what you do about it that's different. Personally, I think that you could feel insecure now, or when you're done with your cosplay, and looking in the mirror...but, then, when you're out there, having fun with other people and cosplayers, that kind of melts away, doesn't it? I definitely feel insecure about my body, but I know that I'm going to have such a great time with all the cosplayers, so what I look like doesn't really matter. I do want my cosplays to be good, and for me to look good in them, but I'm going to do my best, and I'm going to be happy with it. It doesn't matter if you're insecure about your body, or your cosplay, or both...if it's good to you, then that's what matters. The thing with body issues is just...don't think about it. Enjoy yourself.

As for the meet-ups you'll be going to...I can't bowl, or skate, so I don't plan on going to those. I started styling my Bakura wig today...the bangs, at least. I kept getting this pretty bad result, and I knew that I could make it better, and I kept on trying. I like what I have right now. Tomorrow, I plan on attacking the rest. It kind of scares me what Aqua Net and got2b can accomplish together. The only issues that I've really been having are getting the hair to actually end in spikes, and cutting it too short, but I think I can fairly remedy them both.

Yeah, I hope I'll get my cosplay at least "mostly" completed by KumoriCon, too...I'm having issues with the shirts. Kind of odd to be having trouble with something so seemingly simple, right? XD I would really like to just run around in a striped t-shirt (as in, not with the outer-shirt), but I can't seem to find one to my liking. I want a fairly thick one, you know, the way that men's t-shirts and unisex t-shirts usually are? Also, one with longer sleeves than the shirt I have right now...the one I have right now's sleeves barely go over the shoulder, and I was going to hide that with an outer-shirt if I needed to, but I can't find one of those, either. The striped shirt I have now is also five times too big, for some reason. >_> If I can't find one, I guess I'll have to make one.

I guess that's kind of why I want to have a second cosplay lined up...in case my Bakura one isn't completed to my liking by the time of the convention. I'd work on it for the next year, though, of course.

I think I just realized how much I would love to see a Thief King Bakura at the convention, but, eh, I guess I shouldn't hope for too much. XD

Oh, man...worse than wig-hair all up in your face is wig hair all up in your MOUTH. O_O It's like, "Bakura! -coughs- You're -coughs- choking me..." I can't even count the times I've choked on Bakura hair...

I was trying to make antennae for Bakura's hair (you know, the little...things. You know that you know what they are...Not the wings, though.), and the fact that I got them to stand STRAIGHT up kind of scared me. I didn't touch them for a day or so, but a few hours ago I held them down with bobby pins, and sprayed and "gelled" them like crazy. I'm definitely not done with the wig, but I didn't want to go to the meet-up later today with crazy antennae...it would have been pretty funny, though.

I was also attempting to "volumize" it, but I can't seem to accomplish that without making it extremely "frizzy..."

I do the same thing. I'll probably try to find something at Ross or Goodwill. And if all else fails, my mom can help me make the vest. The other day, I was looking for purple vests online, and none of them really seemed like Mai's at all, so Ross and Goodwill are probably good places to search. I need to go to Ross myself, though I checked Goodwill for Bakura stuff, and couldn't find anything. Making your own vest, though, would probably be cool.

Do you think that Goodwill and/or Ross would be a good place to look for shoes? I've never actually looked at shoes at either place before. XD I'd like to find a fairly thin pair of high, black boots for my Johan cosplay, because, if I can't, I'll have to compromise and wear my sister's space boots. Space boots are fun, but they are squishy, and the tops are covered with fur. Not very Johan-y, really, but better than wearing my plaid slip-ons, I'm sure. XD

Wow. It's interesting the way that you can find random cosplay stuff around your house...it turns out that both of my parents have these fairly long, black trench-coats from the military! I'll be watching episode 199 once again to...compare the coats. I still plan on going to Goodwill, but, if I can't find a coat, and/or cannot find a coat that could work better than the one I have, I'll just use one of my parent's.

Yeah, I bought it. I've been trying to style it...the thing is, though, that the wig is kind of thin, I guess...XD I cut the wings, and tried to glue the cut-off hair to the wings, to give them more volume... Do you think that could work? I've been using Aqua Net hair-spray, and got2b glued.

It would be! I don't know anything about cars or motorcycles, though...and, I don't have a license, either. Someday, someday! I don't think it's legal to street-race (or, is it?), but maybe after I get my license, I could bring one to KumoriCon for that year's Yu-Gi-Oh! photoshoot.

I would want to be Crow, probably. Yuusei on such a short notice seems like...epic fail. I know that I would have to order his wig online, and...well, just thinking about his wig in general scares me. It's so...epic. For both my Bakura and Johan cosplays, I have said, "I am going to do this," and immediately jumped into them, but...for this one, I'd try to take it slower, and plan everything out before just going crazy. I'd like to draw Crow in full-view, so I know exactly what I'd be doing for the costume (I planned on doing this for Bakura and Johan, and haven't...yet). Alright, I have everything that I will need for Crow drawn out...I think that now this cosplay has been thrown to luck, on if I can find a brown vest or a jacket that I can cut down (my friend says he looked everywhere, and couldn't find one for a Rex Raptor cosplay), and if I can find a wig. Everything else seems pretty simple to either find, or make!

I just lurked the photoshoot thread, and saw that the Yu-Gi-Oh! photoshoot will meet/be at Pioneer Courthouse Square. I was wondering, since downtown and I don't know each other too well, if that's by the Pioneer Place Mall (I think that's what it's called), and/or where the convention is going to be, and/or the waterfront?

I officially have the go-ahead for Crow! I'm really, really happy! Now I'll have a cosplay for each day, if I finish all of them. And, something that I noticed earlier was that I'll have a character from each Duel Monsters, GX, and 5D's. Apparently we also have a brown jacket that I could cut the sleeves off of. Eeeep. We're not sure if it fits, though, so I'm sure we'll get that checked out...and, in other good news, I found out that I have more money than I thought left!

It looks like the cuff of his pants, and it fits to the shape of his pant-leg better than the boot, but the color matches the heel of his boots, so I think that makes it look more like a part of the boot, too...Thank you! I'll see what I can do, but I might just end up getting a fairly generic pair of boots to fit both Crow and Johan.

It would be really cool if I had enough left over for a camera, but, a camera that costs like, five bucks? Pssh.

I saw the coat, and...it's alright. If I can't find something better, I could just chop off the sleeves, and add some fluff and trim to it.

I'd say try Goodwill. I can usually find anything there. I'm actually going tonight in search of Mai's vest! But, I'd say use what's closest. If you can't find exact things, just find something that's simular...Especially if it's cheaper ^^;

I've been thinking about what order to wear them in, and that's actually what I've been thinking! I wish I could wear multiple cosplays each day, though...If I get a nice estimation of time to see how long it takes to get home, fix up another cosplay, and get back, maybe I could...  I just did a rough estimation, and it would probably take around two hours and ten minutes, to get home, change, and get back...of course, the first day of the convention, I'll do an actual estimate, but, do you think that that could be worth it to switch cosplays? Wearing Bakura for an entire day seems kind of tedious, but I will if I have to. It might be cool to wear him for half of the Saturday, switch to Johan, and maybe the same thing for Sunday, or reversed. Maybe fit Crow in somewhere, or just save him for Monday.

I didn't even realize until now that you have it written out, but it literally is in order! Yeah, not too fast on picking stuff up here...

The thing about the jacket that I have right now, other than the fact that it isn't too similar, is the fact that it might be made of leather, and, me being the crazy vegan that I am...I wouldn't want to wear it. I plan on going to Goodwill this weekend, and to a party store, or a few... Good luck at Goodwill!

On the note of the square, though, I googled it, and it looks like there is an array of steps, and I have this irrational fear of stairs, so...is there a way to avoid them, or is there at least a rail that I can clutch onto for dear life? If I attempted to sew an entire cosplay, I would end up doing it by hand. I love to sew by hand, but the cosplay would probably end up bad...I can't make a straight line to save my life. I remember checking eBay in May, and there was a Duel Monsters-version Duel Disk for forty dollars. I was like, really? I didn't know they cost that much. Other than that, though, I haven't seen any online...I should actually probably check Google/eBay/Amazon right now. Gaming shops, though, hmm...that's a really interesting thought! If I find myself near any on tomorrow's cosplay trek, I'll check it out. I remember the friend who I bought mine from saying that he had, like, three, but I think he might have said that they were different versions...but, what versions other than Duel Monsters and Academy-Issued have been released? I was planning on cosplaying the first day of school, too! That's so cool. I told a friend of mine about it, and he might do it with me...I'll either be Crow or Johan. Wearing Bakura all day to school...actually, it might be worth it. I should plan a day for that. My school's planner doesn't say anything about wigs not being allowed, so, I hope I'll end up doing this.

I could be mistaken...I'm not sure. I thought I heard something about the hotel being twenty-seven floors, but, I'm probably mistaken. I apologize. I'll try to check that out. Dude, when I was typing about what mask Crow would wear, I thought of a crow, too! That's the first thing that came to mind. XD That's interesting. I could even try to mix two of my favorite things together, and make a mask from Majora's Mask for him to wear. Ironically, there's a Bunny Hood in that game...I could get a regular eye-mask, and then yellow bunny ears, or something...Wow, I'm weird, but, yeah...a Mask of Truth would be cool, too...

Crow as the Crow would be awesome! Do you think party stores sell full-blank masks, like they probably sell masquerade ones? If I wore a mask over my eyes looking like that (white skin, black around the eyes, et cetera), I probably wouldn't have time to apply the other half of the make-up, and it would probably melt off, anyways. Then again, I could just buy a masquerade mask, and fix that one up like the Crow, and have the other half of my face be normal...

Thanks for all the ideas! I plan on looking into all of the masks at the store(s) when I go to find my Crow wig. Maybe they'll even have a crow mask (that would be cool, but I'm kind of in a mood where I'd like to make it), or maybe they'll have some kind of mask-kit. That would be pretty cool.

I'm looking through those masks right now. Yeah, it's too bad that it's leather, but I might be inspired by a cool mask, who knows.

I just thought of something for Johan...kind of. Well, since I won't be wearing contacts, it might be cool to have an orange mask. Maybe an orange mask kind of in the shape that Nightshroud's/Atticus' was...you know, for a great big GX shout-out. If I end up feeling lazy, though, I'll probably use a plain orange one, though.

Tell me if you find any stuff for masks, would you? I went to Party City today, and they didn't have any orange wigs, and only like, two masquerade masks. It was really sad. I found face-paint there, though, so I got yellow for Crow's mark, and, for some reason I bought a pack of orange glow sticks... Isn't there a rave or a dance on the last day, or something? XD Bakura/Johan/Crow plus glow sticks is just...win. I might go out on another romp tomorrow, so, I plan on doing research online for places that sell wigs...a guy that works at Party City said that they'll probably have more of their Halloween stuff out in the next few weeks, but I honestly don't want to wait, like a week before the convention, because I'll have to style it, too...we'll definitely have to see what happens, though!

You were so right about Goodwill...I found almost everything there! I found a few small black belts that I'll be cutting up for arm-thingys (Johan and Crow both have them...Crow's have a snap, and Johan's buckle, but...). I found a gray belt, that I'll be cutting up for the things that go around Crow's gloves (I think I have a pair of gloves somewhere that I can cut the fingers off of...I saw a pair of really cool biker gloves at Target, but they were $12.99, and that would have been such a waste. For the round things on his gloves, I might take pennies, and use clay to build up the round shape. Cook them, and glue them on...). I found a nice, light, generic pair of boots that I think Crow would wear! (I hope to make some kind of boot-cover for Johan, though...) I just glued the soles, though, because they were literally about to fall completely off. I found a nice pair of jeans, and, then...we were kind of getting ready to leave, and I had this brown jacket picked out. I was going to have to cut off the sleeves, and rip out the pink-stuff to sew in white, but...then we found probably the best vest that you could find in a store that would fit the Team Satisfaction vests. It was amazing. It's kind of big, so we're going to try to let out the seams, and then sew it back up...and, probably make a few more other modifications. I was wearing it at Goodwill, though, and running around, talking about Team Satisfaction, and how they're superheroes, and stuff...

At Target, I found a nice blue-ish head-band (if it ends up not being wide enough, I could just buy another, and sew them together), and shower-rings for the...well, rings. XD

I think I did pretty well today.

And I found a yellow shirt, so, the majority of gathering supplies for Crow is just about finished!

So, Kotoumi, what are you planning on wearing for the photo shoot?

A girl working at Party City also told me that they have tons of masquerade stuff around Mardi Gras...I guess I'll have to remember that for next year, but, I hope I'll be able to find something before then. Maybe try to find a few mask shops to lurk. I also think that I'll wait to get Crow's wig. A lot of the wig places I've found mainly deal in natural-color wigs, so, if they'd even be willing to get a special wig for me and dye it, it'd probably be pretty expensive (one-hundred dollars, at least.) It's still an option, of course, as is dying my hair (I've had orange hair before, believe it or not), but making my natural hair look as cool as Crow's would probably be really hard.

Do you know of any party stores other than Party City? I plan on getting numbers for a bunch of Party Cities, and calling them every week (that sounds stalker-ish ), but, I'd like to know if I have a wider range of options.

You do have a lot of sewing to do...but, I'm sure you'll be fine! I was planning on running around downtown for a photoshoot in early-to-mid August, but that plan might just fall through, because I'll probably end up finishing really close to the convention, if at all...

Right now, I'm trying to work on some of the little details...Crow's gloves, and Crow's/Johan's arm-belt-things. I need a hot glue gun, though, or some form of glue, and I need paintbrushes (in my house, whenever you need something, it isn't where it always is. We're all artists in some way or form, so everything is always crazy...).

I was wearing what I have for Crow, and I feel pretty good about it so far! Something huge definitely seems to be missing (obviously XD), but I think that, once I get said thing, the whole costume will start to come together. I was also wearing Crow's head-band, with the massive rings in, and was kind of wondering why somebody would want to wear them. It's cool, and interesting, but, it's just like...why? I'm always hearing people say that you shouldn't buy those really cheap party wigs, but...this seems kind of different, somehow. After all, I plan on styling it up like crazy, and stuff... If I want to just try it out, I can... I'd also like to try this wig in case I can't find another better one. I also found a black masquerade mask in the same magazine that I might be able to make into a crow, so...

Yep, that I saw.  It was the smallest amount I'd seen so far, and just when I'd decided to join in, too!  xD  So this year makes me even happier because I think this will be the most so far.  But it's not your fault for not coming sooner; I did the same thing.  Saw it, knew of it, but didn't go until a few years passed.

That wig might be a little hard to style into Crow's...fountain?...because it's meant to be worn down and his is, well, up.  I'd say the easiest way to do it is get a pre-spiked wig (like...this one or this one) and mess with it a little.  The downside is that they're more expensive than the ones in magazines like that one and might take a while to ship...but the netting on the inside of the wig (and your real hair) won't show as much.

With Crow, it's not really a matter of what quality the wig is...it's more like can you make it defy gravity without anything showing through.  If that makes sense.

Amphigory...I believe does take credit/debit.  It's been a while since I last ordered from there and my memory hates me, so I'm going off the info on the site here.  Shipping takes much longer than Cosworx (another wig store, yes; they tend to get wigs to me in about 12 days), but Cosworx is in Nevada and Amphigory is somewhere around the Great Lakes so it's to be expected.  That and you can get wigs at Amphigory that you can't get at Cosworx and vice versa.  Both are good sites to keep in mind.  </ramble>
Also, they order the wig after you say you want one.  It's sort of a complicated process that confused me at first, but it's easy to get used to.

If you order it now, you'll have plenty of time for shipping - it'd probably get to you around mid-August, if I'm guessing right.  If you want to be really safe, though, you can always tell them you have a deadline that's before the con.  =]

Poses are so much fun to try.    I end up trying some every time I'm around a mirror now.  xD

One of my favorite wigs to wear right now is Rally.  It's such a huge, curly mess and it bounces like crazy whenever it moves!  Thankfully, it makes me feel like a hyper little kid.  xD  The craziest wigs seem to be the most fun...

Stilts, too! I've seen people use stilts before...I'd be needing some of those if I did Jack. At least, I think the guy I saw was using stilts...

That would be really cool! If we can get a Dark Signer Kiryu (-wiggles eyebrows-), and then a Dark Signer Yuusei (-wiggles eyebrows once again-), then the only people we'd need would be Crow and Jack. Would you still want to be Crow? If so, I might look into Jack stuff. (I found a great costume a few weeks ago [that I could magically dye black and that cool dark red...actually, you know, that might not be too hard to do!], and I could look more into wig commissions.) And, magical-cosplay-tallness, of course. If you'd be interested in Jack, though, I might be able to help you pay for your cosplay, since most of my money for next year wouldn't be used...if I don't buy those contacts, though, I suppose.

Looking at the picture...what differences to regular and Dark Signer can you notice? More pale, the eyes (scary, scary, scary contacts, scary! BLINDNESS.), red marks (instead of yellow), darker clothing with different marks... I'd just like to be sure, so I can possibly sketch out some plans.

Also, I have a question about my Crow shirt...it's a yellow t-shirt... If you need a picture reference, it's like this:

One of my favorite wigs to wear right now is Rally.  It's such a huge, curly mess and it bounces like crazy whenever it moves!  Thankfully, it makes me feel like a hyper little kid.  xD  The craziest wigs seem to be the most fun...

My cosplay budget next year might be about two-fifty, so, if the shipping prices aren't insane, and I can find out how to learn to use contacts, and not fear them, I might consider it...My dad would kill me. He told me that he's scared of my wigs, so, I couldn't even imagine how he'd react to those contacts...probably make me take them out. >_> I wouldn't be afraid of wearing colored contacts like that...my issue would be with putting them in...

For Dark Signer Crow...hm. I would probably end up making or getting another vest... Just a brown one, this time. Well, would we literally be Dark Signer Team Satisfaction, wearing the vests, or would we be wearing our character's usual clothing? If we all wore the vests, maybe we could brainstorm together the colors and design, so that they would actually remotely look alike. XD If we did that, I could make a new vest for Team Satisfaction, and the one I have right now could be modified to be used for Crow's regular vest.

I'm trying to talk my parents into letting me get brown contacts for Aki since my eyes are kind of gray-green, but they're worried I wouldn't be able to get any in my prescription.  =/  And when I told them I'd found some that would change my eye color as much as I wanted it to, came in the powers I needed, and was pretty cheap...they had to go on about astigmatism.  ._.  And how I'd have to go for a contact appointment to get my base curve measured.  And I told them that's what I asked them for in the first place, because I know it's illegal to buy non-prescription contacts.  They still won't listen to me.  8|
Long story short, I probably wouldn't be able to get scleras anyway, considering they're not giving in on getting me normal-sized color contacts.  xD  (What really makes it frustrating is that my mom is the one who suggested I try contacts in the first place, years ago.  Plus I'm 18 and they should be letting me make these decisions for myself.  B|)

My mom is afraid of my wigs.  More specifically, my wig heads.  (And considering I have about 8 now...)  xD  If Dad is, too, he's not letting on.  He just listens and seems interested in my rambling.

I actually cut the sleeves of Crow's shirt a little bit away from where the sleeves are sewed to the body of the shirt...if that makes sense? (I could try to take a picture if it doesn't.) I also don't have yellow thread (of all the colors...), but, if you still recommend it, I could try to find some.

Thanks for seconding Crow's hyperactivity. I want to prepare a few people for the craziness that is to come. I'll try to contain myself, but...I'm not sure how well that will end up working. Yeah, I imagine that it would be hard to stay in character with Aki all of the time...I'm sure it's okay to go out of character, though, right?

What are photo-snipers? People who take your picture without asking, and you probably don't even end up noticing that they did it, because they're sneaky...?

It's illegal to buy non-prescription contacts? If I bought sclera contacts (or any contacts for cosplaying, really), I would probably end up going to an eye doctor, even if the contacts-seller said that I didn't need to...I do need those measurements, too... "Base curve..." I'm not even sure what that is.

That is ridiculous, though, that your mother suggested that you try contacts, and that you're eighteen, and yet they don't let you make your own decisions. >_> When I'm eighteen, my parents are probably going to end up being like that, too, but I'm just going to continue to buy my "scary" wigs, and maybe even "super scary" contacts, anyways.

I need two more wig heads...one for Johan, and one for Crow. It can be kind of difficult working with just one. And, on the note of Crow's wig...I've been wondering if I should somehow...connect the head-band to the wig? It might look better, and/or stay better... This thought was kind of confirmed this afternoon when I watched bloopers of a Team Satisfaction video, and Crow's wig flew off, and the head-band and wig were connected.

I've roleplayed as Aki for about 10 months now, so it's not too hard for me to get in character anymore.  xD  But it's still hard to practice poses in mirrors going all *seriousface* without cracking up.

Yep, pretty much.  Photo-snipers tend to be the ones who take candid shots, often from a place where you can't see them.  But quite a few of them are considerate enough to take down pictures if you ask.  =]

So I've heard.  Non-prescription contacts are potentially dangerous, and they can cause damage especially if the base curve doesn't match your eye - so even if it's not illegal and I just read something wrong, it's still a really bad idea.  Base curve is just pretty much the arch of the lens.  C:

I think they said it had something to do with the insurance we have, which only covers once every two years.  I don't remember when I got my glasses updated, though, but even if it's next year I don't think my prescription will change enough to get new lenses.  That way, I could get contacts instead.  *shrug*

Wigs are so addictive  x_X  It is hard working with more wigs than heads, though.  As for the headband, you could if you think it would help.  I'm thinking of doing that with Rally's hat.  :D

A photo-sniper probably wouldn't bother me, personally...It would be better, I'm sure, for a photographer to ask for a photo, so the person can pose, and stuff, but, other than that...why do people get so worked up over people taking their picture without asking, anyways? It means that they like your cosplay, but maybe they're too shy to ask for a picture, or they don't want to intrude on what you're doing, or you look like you're in a hurry to go someplace.

Wearing the headband, it's like...Crow wears it pretty far up the forehead, so his mark can show, so, yeah, I think it would help the wig stay if I somehow connected them. I wore my Johan wig with the headband as a test, and the wig was really loose. I wonder how I would connect the wig and headband together, though... Glue? XD

Yes, the bloopers for "Satisfy Me!" Aww, man, he's just, like, "Yeah, that was great!" and then someone's is all, "Hair exploded!" and everyone is just laughing...My favorite part of the original video is when Crow is rolling that round thing around, and "I'll Make a Man Out of You" starts playing. Another great part of the bloopers video is when Crow is singing! Oh, man...I hope we have as much fun at KumoriCon, or, better yet, even more.

xD  It kind of looks like Crow swiped some of Kiryu's DS clothes.  But another idea is switching up the Earthbound Gods, like some people I know on LJ did - Crow got Aslla Piscu, which is orange.  Same color scheme, pretty much.  But then something in canon happened...I don't know how many episodes you've seen, so I won't give spoilers.  =x
OR.  You could just choose another Nazca line and make it up.  xD

Holy holy things that are holy...That picture of Crow is so awesome! Even though it's really hot, I'm going to start sketching that out! I wonder how long the cape actually is...and, it's probably gravity-defying, too, right? So, it would probably need some kind of wire sewed in to keep its shape...

I was just reading a book about Nazca lines! I guess it might help that I know the history of them a bit...interesting. You wouldn't happen to have any screen-caps/pictures, would you? I am personally watching through 5D's again, but it'll be a while until I get to any of the Dark Signer episodes. If I did a costume like in the picture...maybe an orange trim, instead of blue...that might be cool...

Edit, like, three days later than original post: I keep running outside whenever I hear a truck pass by. My wig is supposed to be here anytime from nine in the morning, until seven in the evening. Speaking of Aki, I put on all the things I bought (gloves, base shoes, stockings, etc) the other day and it kind of calmed me down.  Seeing what I have already done actually working made me more confident about getting all of it done on time.  ...But of course, that doesn't mean I'll be procrastinating for much longer.

Also I'm going to see about sewing one of Rally's skirts soon, or just drawing out patterns to make it easier for Mom to help if I need it.  Bought the eBay wig for Kiryu yesterday; it was cheaper and a more accurate color.  Hopefully all goes well, it's my first time buying from eBay~  :3

Yeah, I heard from his Deviantart. It's too bad. All I can hope for is that he's doing what feels has to be done, and that he's happy. That's all I could ever wish for anyone. His bike is seriously awesome, though, so, I honestly couldn't blame him. His cosplay talent is amazing, yeah, but, if he never returns, his cosplays and his cosplay spirit will always live on, you know? I think he made a huge positive impact on the cosplay community. If I were him, I would feel really accomplished, and proud.

@Ake ~ Sometimes hanging out with people just...happens!  There are bound to be people who ask for a picture or hug and just end up talking for a while.

I'm a crazy believer in aliens. I think they create crop circles (while some are fake, this is obvious), and helped the ancient Egyptians (and other civilizations, which I find interesting) build pyramids. I'll definitely have to re-read that book, though...

How do you think that you could get a Nazca sign on your arm? ...Sharpie? XD (I found some cool bird ones that I could use for Dark Signer Crow.) I would contemplate getting a tattoo (because I am utterly insane this way), but, as I was telling someone on DeviantArt, it would conflict with other cosplays. I also plan on going to an eye appointment soon! But, my insurance doesn't cover eyes...what the heck? o_o (You know the contacts we were looking at...didn't the website say that their contacts are also available in prescription? I should probably check that...) I was talking to this girl yesterday about running around as Dark Signers with crazy contacts at Otakon. This is now a future goal. XD

Filler episodes are wonderful. As are seemingly random things. Like Crow's job. Wonderfulness. I love episode fifty-two, in an amazingly beautiful yet extremely heart and gut-wrenching way. Whenever I watch it, I'm just... I was watching it last night, and I couldn't finish it. I almost cried a few times. It always just gets me when Crow's tears fall on Yuusei's face. And I can't watch. I had to stop last night.

Team Satisfaction grabbers is what I shall personally dub them.)

Yeah, I started respecting her more after the whole Fortune Cup thing. She did change pretty fast, but...I think that, maybe her being mean was just a facade. Maybe the nice her is the real her, and Yuusei helped the real her come out.

I would be ridiculously proud, too. I would like to either make her dress someday, or buy one. I would probably never wear it, but it would be so cool to own. I'll probably end up making a whole Aki cosplay, and never wear it. XD She looks like she would be a lot of fun to make!

I confess that I usually like dubbed anime better than the original raw (or subbed, since I can't seem to find many raw episodes). Really, as unbelievable as that may sound. 5D's is one of the few anime that I actually like the original better. I never had time to get used to Crow's dub voice (I saw, like, half of his first episode), but I had time to get used to Jack's. Both of their voices make me laugh really hard. Not in a bad way...they're just really funny. They amuse me a lot. They're really cute, though, of course...

They don't show 5D's on the original channel anymore? Like, the WB/4kids? (Or, maybe you don't have those channels where you are. XD That thought just occurred to me...)

Cable is a waste of money, in my opinion. I never use it. I would so much rather just buy the DVDs. I can't even figure out how to work my cable fifty-percent of the time.

Hmm. Well, don't people hide tattoos for work, and such? Maybe there could be a way to hide it. I think I'll try to get an estimated price for it, anyways. If it's like...four-hundred, then no. XD

I'm considering temporary tattoo paper, actually.  They make some that you can put in your printer and make your own designs.  :3  Then you can just take it off with rubbing alcohol or something.
Either that or, yeah, Sharpie.  xD
Also, if you do decide to get a real tattoo, they make makeup that can cover it.

Crow's job made me laugh so hard I cried.  xD  I don't know why it was so funny to me, but that uniform just made me lose it.  Goggles and that different helmet and the coat...it makes me grin just thinking about it.  xD

Oh, those handcuff-like things?  I call them Duel Cuffs, honestly.  xD  Maybe.  I'd have to get some fake handcuffs and rope to do that.  C:

I could ramble about Aki's character for hours.  xD  But the summary is that she just wanted to be accepted by someone for once, even if they knew about her powers; she just pushed everyone away because she didn't want to hurt or lose them.  She also had that "how could anybody love me for what I am" mindset, which probably made her think that anyone trying to accept her was lying.  Therefore, more pushing away.

As for episodes, there's always Veoh and Youtube.  :D  I need to catch up on subs, though - I've been watching raws only since about episode 40.  =x  (The only exception has been 60/61 because it was awesome.  Call me a horrible person if you want, but Divine is in a tie with Aki for my favorite character.  xD)  And I think they moved the time to 7:30 or so on WB/4Kids?  I haven't seen the dub in aaaages.

I was talking to my friend about this last night, and they probably say in the dub that everyone went to Hawaii, or they just don't mention the people at all. And Crow's "M" mark! I can't believe that they didn't cut it out, or Crow, in general (you know how he swears a lot, and has a hyper-active/violent personality...seemingly oh-so un-4Kids), because I was thinking that his mark could be taken as an advertisement for McDonalds. In Bakura news, I have yet to finish my wig. I need to work on the wings, make them go out more, and glue them together more, because, after a long day of people groping them, they look about to fall into pieces. (It's alright, though; I don't mind! It was really fun!) Paint them, also, probably, if I ever end up getting them to a nice enough shape, and enough gravity-defying-ness.

In Crow news, Mai discovered how to put the wig on today. I am very proud, seeing as it took me five times as long to be able to figure out how to do it.

So Originally I was going to use a Doma Duel Disk because My friend was going to be Keith who only used the battle city/normal one. So now since she can't be him should I still use the Doma Duel disk or the regular one for Rex Raptor? He's used both so I don't see it as an issue to which one he uses, but I do want to know which would be better for me to use for con.

I’m not going to say anything more…just let that soak in. If anyone mentions any combination of “Yuusei” and/or “wig,” I crack up laughing. I’m crazy enough to buy this wig, though, I think… x_x

On the subject of the card game: I'm quite a good duelist, and am awesome at deckbuilding (especially when it comes to building it around a theme as well as around power and adaptable strategy; ironicly, that's the same way that I've built decks for the Pokémon card game, too...LOL).

And concerning the 5Ds-era ones - good chance that they'll be available in stores come Christmas time (seen it in an issue of Shonen Jump).

I think I fit more under the "collector" type than anything.  xD  YGO is honestly the first card game I've bothered to learn more than a few rules for (other than Neopets in middle school.  Failed pretty hard at that one, too.).  Pokemon was just too hard for me to understand for some reason.  xD
...This may be the reason why I've been sticking to the video games.  I have no strategy other than "HEY this has an effect I should probably use this to my advantage eventually and hope it doesn't get destroyed."  orz

Meh. Here's the full quote she gave me:

Base Styling Fee: $20

Total: $210

She added a custom color fee because she surmised that Yuusei's hair is a very dark gray, rather than actually black. And, judging by her other work that I've seen, her work is really nice. Smooth, and tidy. I'm just not sure $210 is...I don't know, worth it?

The Bakura costume that dark_master sold was right about $150, and it came with the striped t-shirt, trenchcoat, wig, and his Thief King costume. Comparatively, I just find $210 for a wig...kind of insane. Even more so if the Yuusei costume I buy or make ends up costing less than the wig. You know? A friend of mine once told me (who's been cosplaying for years) that he'd never pay over fifty dollars for a wig, and, I guess that phrase has always kind of stayed in my conscious. When I tell him about this, he's going to spit all over me. XD

I can't remember the commissioner's website, but, if I do, I'll show you, or something, so you can see if, judging by her previous works, it's worth that much. Judging by what you know right now - the individual pricing, and the dynamics of Yuusei's hair - do you personally think that $210 is a reasonable price?

Another good fact to note is that the commissioner requires a base fee ($20, I think, or around that), but she offers/accepts payment plans, so, maybe it would seem like it doesn't cost so much if I only have to pay, like, $40 a month. XD

Price for custom color doesn't surprise me as much as it probably should, especially if they're using the Sharpie method (it takes a lot of Sharpies and rubbing alcohol).

But if you want to shave a bit off the price, you could probably just ask for a black wig if you don't mind doing something like that.

Your friend might be talking about base wigs, though, which would be about right around that price.  (Except I went to a local wig store and ended up buying one for $80...x_X)  I can't tell for sure, of course~

I think you should do what you want, honestly.  Make a list of pros and cons or something, just to make it easier to reach a decision.  It is your costume, after all.  =]

@ Chandra Nalaar: In the dub of 5D's, they kind of imply that the series occurs during Kaiba's lifetime. So I've always kind of though that Kaiba had something to do with the conception of D-wheels (in the dub, at least). And, the Kaibadome still exists, so, if he isn't really still alive (in both, or just the original), then I think that Kaiba may have been involved with the conception of "CHILDREN'S CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES, AMG, PURE COOL EQUALS BRACKET." Kaiba's intelligence, plans, and inventions defy the ages.

I've had a niggling thought/feeling to be Carly next year, also (...if Yuusei doesn't end up costing $$$$ x_XX). Not sure why. Maybe the thought grows larger whenever I say, "I WILL NEVER COSPLAY A GIRL. NEVER, EVER. EVER." Who knows. She seems like she'd be a lot of fun, and I feel like I would/could feel really comfortable as her.

@ Chandra Nalaar: In the dub of 5D's, they kind of imply that the series occurs during Kaiba's lifetime. So I've always kind of though that Kaiba had something to do with the conception of D-wheels (in the dub, at least). And, the Kaibadome still exists, so, if he isn't really still alive (in both, or just the original), then I think that Kaiba may have been involved with the conception of "CHILDREN'S CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES, AMG, PURE COOL EQUALS BRACKET." Kaiba's intelligence, plans, and inventions defy the ages.

Or, something similar. (And, my assumption was Joey's cousin still alive = Joey [probably] still alive = Kaiba [probably] still alive.) YOU KNOW 4KIDS THOUGH; they...change...things. -shifty eyes-

Other than that, I utterly believe that 5D's almost entirely exists in an alternate (UNIVERRSE)...timeline. The timeline (UNIVERRSSSE) of re-used voice actors and funny-yet-awesome (WHUZ DUH MAHSTUH UH FAHSTUH) accents.

Everyone who I recommend 5D's to says, "NO. NEVER." because they all hate sequels, and they're all, "Wow, motorcycles? That sounds so stupid." And, I was like that in both senses, but, after I got into 5D's, I fell in love. And I honestly love it more than Duel Monsters. /getsshot

In other news, Kiryu is finished, Rally is almost finished (I handed the coat off to Mom because the sleeves hate me and it was just frustrating me so much argh), Aki is...far, far behind.  I'm working on patterns right now.  Played with eyeliner today, I think what I did looks nice.  Wishing I had brown contacts, though  :C  No pictures until I have time, eep.

...But she's at 55% now because I'm taking a couple shortcuts.  Shhhh.  I suppose it'll be okay if I don't finish something minor by Friday morning, since she won't debut until Sunday, but still.  I'm kind of freaking out.

Update on my costume: Sadly, I haven't had any time to work on my wig, so poor Pegasus is going to have lame-o limp hair (as it was for me when I first wore it at SakuraCon this year; its wispies are probably going to drive my nose/face crazy...ugh). And hopefully if nothing lame happens tonight to interfere, I shall work on finally getting my white shoes cleaned up. *crosses fingers*

And mind you, this'll be amid packing everything to be ready tomorrow since I need to come straight home from cashing a paycheck after work, then rush off on the bus to stay at a friend's house in Tacoma, Wa. (to wake up super early on Saturday & drive down).

And, Bakura wigs are just...ffff. Mine was just...xD... Really, so many people were commenting on how bad it was, and this wasn't even at a convention. So, mine kind of died, even before it was born. XD
