Cosplay at the Zoo [May 23rd]
« on: April 16, 2009, 07:25:07 pm »
To all lurkers! I know your out there! If you do plan on comming then please post I need a final head count by Saturday morning!

Mom gave me the great Idea to go to the zoo and have a cosplay picnic there.

[Other plan of action[only to take place if zoo is out of the question of getting into]]: Wuntvor gave me the briliant idea of the gardens. If we can't get into the zoo, then we will just take a short trip to the Gardens, the Rose garden is free, but if memory serves me right the Japanese Gardens cost money.

[Slams fist down on the desk hard] Oww~

Time: 10am [late arrival is just fine with me. let me know if you'll be late or early]
Meet up place: MAX terminal: Gresham side of the Robertson tunnel at the zoo
Things to do: Play Hide 'n Seek, have lunch, run around, Photo shoots, uhhh scare the kiddies? Photoshoots in the gradens?

Sack Lunch!

I would maybe like to go but I'd attend not in cosplay if that's ok.
Most of my costumes at this point are either too troublesome to be walking around at the zoo in or too skanky-ish and I'd feel bad having mothers point at me and covering their childrens eyes D:

Ah, if it's between June 20th-July 4thish I won't be able to attend. I'm going to Iowa to visit my Grandpa.
But don't let that stop you from changing the date of the zoo trip. I'm only like, 15 minutes away from the zoo so I can go any day.

I won't be going, as I live in Eugene and a 4 hour round trip for just the zoo is sort of a pain.  I do have a suggestion though.  The Japanese Gardens are right next to the zoo train terminal and across the street from the Rose Garden.  If you have the cash and can afford both the Japanese gardens and the zoo (Rose Garden is free) then you can get some AWESOME cosplay pics without even moving the car.  Just a suggestion.

The 23rd of May? What is that--a Saturday? I should be able to go, if I can get the money. Since I can just easily ride the MAX down there and then walk to the gardens (if I go).

Well I may go and take photos at Hendricks park and the Owen Memorial Rose Garden here in Eugene.  Definitely the time of year for garden and flower photos.

Hello! I'm new here, but I really want to meet other cosplayers in the Portland area, so count me in! I'm kind of shy, but I hope everyone is nice! >.<

Forum Name: iluvshijimi
Name: Samantha (I prefer Shijimi/Shiichan)
Age: 19
Bringing Food: Yes, I can probably bring something, not sure what yet.
Pitching in Money: Yes, enough for admission at least.
Random Favorite Word: Cute!

I'd like to vote for the picnic to be held at the Portland rose gardens instead of the zoo or the Japanese Garden, because I think it's a more convenient place for us to go in costume, but any place is fine with me ^^ I'd also like to vote for the meeting place to be at a MAX station or something because I get lost really easily (>.<) but like I said earlier, any place is fine orz

As of right now, I can go as Northern Italy from the Hetalia Axis Powers series :)

So, How about we meet up in the MAX terminal? Since that's how I'll be getting there. I'll be on the Gresham platform when I get off. I was there yesterday at the terminal I mean. It inspired my for a new manga >< I'll bring it if it's got at least 2-3 chapters [started today it has 3 pages]

Then again, we could just stick to the original plan and meet at the front gate.

So wait, the meetup spot is at the Gresham terminal? What about people like myself that are closer to the zoo then that going through the max?
Are we going to meetup at the zoo max stop at all or even at the gate?
I'm at the Goose Hollow Max stop so I think the logical thing for me to do would be to meet you guys at the zoo stop/zoo.

After reading some of this I was under the assumption that people were going to meet in Gresham at the Max Stop and then go to the zoo. So I was just wondering about the people who aren't in Gresham.

For everyone getting off on the MAX we're meeting in the MAX terminal, THEN we'll be going to the gate.

EDIT: Underground at the zoo, the MAX station at the zoo is where we are meeting at. Not in Gresham, but the Gresham side of the max station.

Mom gave me the great Idea to go to the zoo and have a cosplay picnic there.

New plan of action: Wuntvor gave me the briliant idea of the gardens. If we can't get into the zoo, then we will just take a short trip to the Gardens, the Rose garden is free, but if memory serves me right the Japanese Gardens cost money.

I wouldn't mind joining in on this one, not completely sure what I'll cosplay but I'll figure it out.  Also, I can bring up to 4 guests in with me for free because I have a high-level membership.  I'm also willing to bring a fair bit of food.  One recommendation though, bring a couple bucks cash so you can feed the lorikeets.  If I join up on this adventure, does anyone have any problems with me taking pictures for the Kumoricon website?

Yes! Pictures would be great!

You know, I just got an idea. Wouldn't it be fun to be animal versions of our characters. But, of course not actual animals, just like wearing cat ears, tail, and whiskers. Like just being an animal that is similar to your character. What do you peoples think?

it's totally fine if you take pics! So in light of more people coming to this, I'm saying that on the 22nd is the last day that you can come and tell me that you're comming, I'll need to have a final head count that way i can keep track of you all. And not be blind sighted by like 15 other people who are lurkers that decide for the hell of it to show up at the last minute. ;A; Though the last event I held had no major problems, I don't want the samething that happened to -insert username here- at TWEWY party at Clakamas, to happen here.

What a neat idear Neko, but I'm already having to fix my cloak a little I don't want to do an animal version of konan.

haha! Sack lunch! That perfect! And we can do the whole 'Whaddya got?' 'I have -insert sammich-, you?' 'I have -insert sammich-' 'Wanna trade?' 'Hells yes!' XDD

anime_gurl_123 just thought of this, but we could play cosplay tag while we're there!

That is, if some of our costumes will be play-safe. Mine will be! Yay military gear!

DO NOT go into the bird exibit. My friend got bird-pooped on last time we were there, and that would be even worse if it got onto costumes or wigs.

THAT'S what I was afraid of when I saw lorakeet feeding earlier. Careful!

I dun hate chu Dana.  :D

Wait...did Konan just say I hated Dana?

If so, PM me now. We have some talkin' to do.  :D

But I am still rethinking it.

And instead of tag, wouldn't HIDE AND SEEK be more fun? Give hints to the animal you are at via text message, then BAM. 8D

I know, right? 8D I have unlimited. We could get in groups with people who can text, or we can pass on things like 'Dana is at where you must keep an eye out for poop falling from the sky'. (AKA the bird...thing cage.)(EVEN THOUGH SHE WOULDN'T BE THERE XD) and we could give them a hint for others, even if we weren't there ourselves.

So, I was thinking, that anyone who can't text, is grouped [groups of 3-4] with at least 1 person who can text.

Hey~ Dana, doesn't this remind you of TWEWY at clakamas?

No, no, that's just fine anime, I don't mind and it wouldn't be rude, my Konan cosplay isn't finished but i don't want to rush things with it either, I'm still missing a few things.
Try as you might, but like I said, you don't HAVE to cosplay, it's not required. I'll bring my VK costume and some other things for you if you want.

Holy crap, just HOW many people are comming to this thing? +? however many lurkers that'll show up??

And Jason, you need to fill out the form or I won't let you join the group. As it is, there is already more people comming to this than TWEWY...

I'm not bringing four people, but I can provide free entrance to four people as a perk of my membership level.

Oooh, that sounds nice... *hint hint* Hehe~

Also, it looks like my younger will be tagging along. His cosplay won't be ready for a few months,
but he wanted to come in normal dress anyway, lol.

So I've got you and your companion.  Two more spots left, kids!

It is going to be fun. I just hope that this trip doesn't drain my Shelke funds. As it is I have no money for means of getting in... Sad day for me. And I don't think I can scrounge up enough cans and bottles for the 10 bucks to get in Agh!

One small thing. If the gathering is at the Gresham MAX platform at 10, then should people who aren't that far up meet at the zoo tunnel stop at 10:30 and wait for the rest?

Thanks bunches hawkeye!

The main meet-up is at 10 at the MAX gresham side, I know some people won't be getting there untill later, that's why we have cell phones and people who can text.

I'd try not to bring too many large items with us. Seeing as how crowded it can get we don't want people to get smacked with them. Jason this is mainly for you, but don't bring the Pocky swords, they'd just get in the way of everything.

Confirmed, instead I will bring sample headbands and the script for Pocky Wars, and maybe some snackable Pocky. And sad enough I still don't have a cell yet. So instead of catching the MAX up to Gresham just to meet and catch it all the way back, I'll be at the tunnel stop at 10:30 and wait for your train to come. I usually pack Trunks and Inuyasha/Red the ninja with me but Tetsusaiga isn't done yet so it won't come along for the ride.

Tetsusaiga would be too big anyways. I'll be leaving early to grab Pein so he can come along. So I may be early to arriving at the Zoo, I'll wait inthe tunnel untill about 10:30 then from there we'll go up to the zoo. Hopefully everyone can get in. When we get bored with the zoo we can go to the gardens for photoshoots and what not. I'll see if I can snag mom's camera. Though I still need to finish uploading pics from TWEWY... I've been lazy with that.. >>

Ok I might come. You twisted my arm

Forum Name: blackstar
Name: Bob Barker from the Price Is Right or you could call me Tim/Timmy
Character: Blackstar or just normal
Age: 18
Bringing food: Not a clue!
Pitching in money: I don't want to comment to a set amount of money so I will say The Least Amount Needed

I have a friend that works at the zoo. I will see if you could get anything awesome from him. Bu don't be set on me getting special because 1. He may not be working that day 2. He may not have the power to pull any strings.

There is a small chance that I could not come the reason being I have a really really really important lacrosse game the day before and I might be to sore to come. But most likely it is a YEP!!!
I will see if I can get any friends to come.

Wonderful, It's easy to get the Bus to my place. Take the Max line to the Rose Quarter Transit area. Get off and catch the Yellow line to the Expo Center. Get off at Interstate and Lombard. Catch the 4 to St.Johns.

Tell the bus driver you need the stop right before the boys and girls club. Walk to the boys and girls club and turn Right on Woolsey Av. Walk North on that till you get to 9544. :3

I'm glad you found it! XD I mean it'd have sucked if the link was broken like half the ones I sent out on Cosplay.com were!! Also, I feel your pain. I might be dragged off against my will to the beach on Saturday, if I can't get out of it I'll be sure to let you guys know.

So After we're all tired of the zoo do you wan't to go to Iruka's house? I'm going. Oh speaking of which, Iruka, mom said 'I wan't names, phone numbers, and her address... in case anything happens I can come get you... Of steffy can come get you... or, worse case scenario, the fat man can get you. Or you can't go over to her house and spend the night' .w. I love my mommy...

So am I going to be seeing people in cosplays they've used many times before or new ones? I've got many on my list that are ready and wearable, but not polished off. And I feel so under-resourced to make them better or invent new ones.

I hate to do this, but I am going to have to bow out.  My asthma has been flaring due to the pollen count and the increased temperatures, combine that with crowded conditions due to the holiday weekend and it's a recipe for disaster.

So then Konan, the pocky I was to bring will be brought to the beach trip instead.

I wasnt dressed up. I decided against it. All my cosplays insulate heat for some reason. See Texans are for TAKING the heat, not SOAKING it up! lol
I just had a Gaara shirt, and a cap on. I had like tons a foodz with me. Or maybe you remember the girl with the bright red and blue back pack. That was me.

It's still hard to believe that after waiting and preparing for this, I get sick and have to abandon attending it and the campout. :(

Well unless there's a plan to go to waterfront park for a picnic during the rose festival, I'll see everyone else on the beach.

Yeah, it's strange, haha! I remember what we did overall, but nothing real specific @_@ It's kinda like my high school graduation experience lol, when I was up on the stage accepting my diploma and shaking the school board members' hands, I remember the sound kinda went mute in my mind, but my family told me afterwards that they all had airhorns blowing and stuff when they called my name.

I still don't remember hearing them, haha.

@ Britneyyy (Is that how you spell your name? o.o Minus the y's? lol sorry xD)

My legs are still sore from jumping off the bench so many times, haha~ I must be really out of shape, but I only took a two-week break from exercising... D:

Hey, this is Joey, the one dressed as Akito/Agito, from yesterday. After you guys broke off, we went to find Aaron and Angelica, instead of going to the penguins. After that, we just kind of left the zoo. Then Ang, Emmalie, and myself, all had to leave, as well as Larxia. You'll have to talk to Ducky about what happened to the others.

If you do it again things should be a bit more organized. When we were actually at the zoo a few people, myself included, felt really rushed since we kept being told to keep moving when we were looking at the animals. Plus when people wanted to split off we couldn't since we knew we'd probably never meet up again. That's just my opinion though.

I agree with my good friend here, though I didn't care too much about the group splitting. A LOT of people showed up. I would've expected it to be somewhat difficult to manage. I did things at my own pace with my own friends.

The thing I didn't like was the loud and obnoxious singing at some points (I think I heard a song referencing homosexuals and a song about President Obama. While I wasn't offended by the content of those songs, we were in a public place with normal people around and we could've easily been kicked out for that.)

-cough cough same here cough-
It was very rude to sing about our president
and I'm pretty sure we would have gotten kicked
out if it was louder and if that security guard
was there watching them sing...
so many people..so loud.
and some of us didn't want to connect with other
cosplayers. D:

Yeah, the singing was really impolite and somewhat disgraceful to cosplayers in general. If we want people to accept us in public as normal people while we're wearing cosplay then we need to act like it. Sure we can be crazy and play games and stuff, but that doesn't mean we can go around singing our lungs off about whatever the heck we feel like. I was really nervous sometimes that security was going to give us the boot.

It happened to us. Moving too fast and since my friend doesnt really have too much money to be doing this, we split off so she could enjoy the otters and stuff.

The thing I didn't like was the loud and obnoxious singing at some points (I think I heard a song referencing homosexuals and a song about President Obama. While I wasn't offended by the content of those songs, we were in a public place with normal people around and we could've easily been kicked out for that.)

Yeah I saw a lady take off with her kids because they kept asking about it and saying stuff to them about it.....that I dont want to repeat.

I didn't go but here's my $.02~

During public cosplay meetups if cosplayers consistently behave obnoxiously then people'll grow weary of cosplayers as a whole, even if it's only a select few that are misbehaving. It's not just, "normal" people that get irked by impoliteness, it's bothersome to everyone. As a cosplayer, I don't want to be stereotyped as loud and obtrusive, though that's a stigma that's already taking hold for cosplayers.

Really, all I want to say is please be respectful to others so that there won't be negativity associated with cosplay. And think of all the good karma you get from being nice 8~D

That's one thing I wish all cosplayers could uphold and that is a consideration for their manners. I normally don't like cosplaying in public, because I've been insulted for my passion many times before and didn't want to experience that again, so I only ever cosplay with groups. It doesn't help when the group I show up to decides to make a rough-housing display of themselves. It makes us look bad if we don't show the public that we're generally nice, rule-respecting people; not weirdos.

And thank you Sahara~

That is a problem with going to places like the zoo. Cosplayers need to be somewhere they can run around and be loud, like a park. Not in an enclosed space like a zoo or a mall. That is asking for trouble.

I completely second this, thank you Sahara. I can actually remember a very specific person that was making me weary ALL THE TIME while we were there. I didn't want to be around said person since I didn't want to be stereotyped as an obnoxious cosplayer, though I probably was since I was in the vicinity of said person. Next time...guys really. Next time we should have stricter guidelines about how to act in public...because this was just not okay.

I agree, and disagree with that statement. While I was at the zoo, even though about half of the group was being loud and obnoxious, I generally had a pleasant time. It was fun waving to little children, and we even met some people who asked us which anime we were from. So I disagree that the zoo is a bad place for cosplayers to visit.

Also, as an older cosplayer, I don't feel the need to run around and be loud. Mature cosplayers can spend time out in society without too much trouble, because we don't make people hate us when we go out.

The part I agree with is mall-hopping in cosplay. Shopping centers are MUCH more enclosed than the zoo or other public parks, and I've had bad experiences in almost every mall I went to in cosplay.

After we dispatched from them my friend was all worried that they got kicked out (cuz we never saw them again).
Darn near lucky they didnt.

Same here a VERY specific person.

@sam
I agree. the zoo wasn't a bad place for cosplay it was unpleasant because just
some of the cosplayers were unable to maintain a relaxed behavior.
Waving at kids was fun :D

No, I looked to see if I could find them on the forum and unfortunately I'm unable to. This makes me weary but oh well. Hopefully it never happens again.

I also agree that more open places are good, but at the same time you have to be just as careful there. In general people need to be respectful and decent no matter where you are. That's just sort of how we should be, especially since we're showing another side of America's culture that most people aren't used to. So we should just be careful, give ourselves a good image no matter where we venture to!

Wow, can't believe that happened..Well, sadly, I can.

Maybe if we do it again, limit it to how many people can come, and if others want to come, they may, but not really apart of the main group?

I don't know. Maybe the zoo is just not a good idea.

well the thing is that most people who go to these meet-ups are between the ages of 12 and 17 and sadly a lot of them can be loud and immature at times. I can easily see security following the group around in places like the zoo.

I totally understand what you're saying, but I have to make my point that cosplayers shouldn't write off the zoo as a place they can't visit and have fun. Cosplayers, regardless of age, who respect others and present themselves as friendly and courteous should have no problems there.

It doesn't really depend on there age. Like Lavi
was 13 and she acted WAY more mature then other cosplays.
Cosplayers should just respect and present themselves the way they
want to be treated.

Yes! Abigail is an excellent example of this. She's only thirteen and she acted way more mature than half of the fifteen year olds that were there. As for everything else. Age=Unimportant, Courtesy=Very Important. Simple as that.

But the fact is there is a lot of cosplayers who DON'T respect others and behave. I would love to go to the zoo in cosplay but I would only go with people I KNOW are mature enough and wont get us kicked out. Same with the mall. The mall is fine as long as you aren't with a group of people who act like idiots.

Amen to that. As long as the people you're with are decent and don't act like idiots, the world is a better place for the time you spend out in public cosplaying.

I know there are a lot of people who don't behave, but I'm ONLY talking about respectful cosplayers like us. I'm sorry, I can get kind of pushy when someone doesn't see something my way. I apologize :(

This was my first cosplay meet ever, and I have to say I was kind of expecting this. I'm glad I was able to get some of my friends to come or else I would've had a pretty bad time. I wish it didn't have to be like that. When I first joined this forum, I signed up for the zoo meet because I wanted to make new cosplay friends (I had zero at the time). After going to the meet, I realize if I hadn't met my friends from elsewhere and told them to come, I wouldn't have made new cosplay friends like had originally wanted. Unfortunately, everyone else stuck to their own cliques and there was no real cosplay bonding.

@ Sahara

That'd definitely be a good idea! But you'd have to have cosplay friends first (which I'm glad to finally have some! *thankful*)

I know how that felt. So many times people kept yelling "SHRIMP KEEP UP!" since I was in my Ed Elric cosplay, and I was just lingering back. I was getting so sick of it to the point where I just stopped responding to any summon remark whatsoever. I know it may be hard for some people to understand, but we all can hear. XD yeah neither do I. I wasn't trying to argue at all, and I didn't know that you were only talking about the respectful cosplayers. I was just trying to remind you that there are a lot of people who aren't respectful. Sadly I have got to a lot of meet-ups where the majority of people there weren't respectful and I am cautious of going to big meet-ups because of that.

*thankful*)

Yeah the next real thing I do will be a private party. I made a lot of friends through meet-ups but only a few are ones I would actually want to hang out with. And my parents said I could have a meet-up at my house but they gave me a limit of about 30 people. Which is more than enough. So I think the next thing I might do is Halloween or Christmas.

Its fine, I dont expect anyone to know my name here. I only mentioned it like once or twice. Mentally is fine.
And I remember you.
Yeah, once is enough but never is better.
If someone needs my attention they only need to say "Excuse me" or something. If I get yelled at, I just tune 'em out.

Okay.~ Good to know. Wow, you remember me? I must've seen you then too. I just can't remember anyone except for either the people I talked to all the time, or the ones that annoyed me. I agree with you about that too. Yelling leads to problems, no matter what.
I know right? They yelled at me like a car was coming (in the tunnel).
Well I wasnt cosplaying (my cosplays insulate heat and I dont need too much of that on a sunny day). I just wore a Gaara t-shirt, hat and had a red and had blue back pack on. I just sort of stood back and admired all the cool costumes.

Ohhh!!! I remember you then.~ I was getting a bit irked in the tunnel. I thought the yelling was bad, especially when they started yelling inappropriate words. Specifically "penis". I mean understand that's not really a BAD word but when you're in a public place...ehhh that was really uncomfortable for me.

And wow, if you had an insulating cosplay I don't blame you at all. That would've sucked for a day as hot as it was on Saturday!

I don't know what happened to them afterwards, but the Agito posted in this thread earlier as CloudStrife32 and he was last logged in around 8:00 PM last night so you could probably PM him for a reply. Here's his profile:

Yeah I heard some odd things being said around people who were just passing through with their kids. I was worried someone like a mom or dad would like stop and give us attitude for it.
Like "Hey I'm here with my children, so cut it out!"
Being told by an adultlike that is....well makes me feel sad.
I could take heat, but Texans like me get grumpy when its that hot and I didnt want people to feel a negative attitude from me.

Is there anyone still checking this thread who was a part of Siren's group and went to see the penguins around 1:00 PM? A handful of us went ahead to the rose gardens, but we didn't see you guys later in the afternoon, what happened?
We never saw the penguins because chistine had to go home and we waited with her for her mom then went to the rose garden....too late

Here's MY 2cents, since I'm the one who organized this, I TRIED to get everyone to calm down. But as it dragged on I got more frustrated with everyone's behavior. There were a LOT of people who were complaing about our behavior. I was kinda relieved when we split, the group I had was very well behaved from my oppinion. Next event I hold I'm putting an age/amount of people restriction that way I don't have this problem again. And Normaly I'm good at holding events just there were 40+ people this time and was too much.

Other than that, [almost] everyone had fun? I agree with Nikki, a park type area is best.

Oh another thing, about moving so quickly, that was NOT my fault. I was trying to keep everyone togother. Sorry if any of you felt rushed, that wasn't my doing.

Know you know what I go through. People don't seem to understand how aggravating this can be. There is ALWAYS someone complaining about something.

I kinda wish that no one would plan things so people would be more appreciative and stop acting like immature brats.

And the major events I have done have ad 60 + people, try controlling that many.

I will ask her tomorrow. But from me I honestly would never WANT to take on that kind of responsibilty. I stress easy.

The tea party is the last event that I'm holding for a while, I'm trying some things out with an age/size restriction and see if that helps any. Depending on how the tea party goes will help me determin how long I'm gunna hold off on events. I may not hold anything untill next year. But then again if things go well at the tea party I may hold off for a few months. I really need to get to work on my cosplays.

Good way to think about things. Eventually everyone who hosts things will be tired of dealing with that large group of people and we can have our own meet-up. Sadly the best way to do it is to figure out who is well behaved and only invite those people.

That's my plan. To see who at this event is well behaved and go from there when I start planning again. =o= I see what you go through with such a large group Nikki, I take back anything I may have said about my being able to control such a large group. the zoo seriously felt like a school field trip with a bunch of first graders.

Yeah, one of my biggest problems is the imature cosplayers, like most of the naruto cosplayers, granted there are a few [like my self] who cosplay from that series who are actualy mature about it. I generaly hate cosplaying mainstream anime, but this year I'm being draged into a Naruto cosplay. I never really was an imature brat about cosplaying my first year, but I was confronted by some older cosplayers who were particulary rude and said that my [KH1 Kairi] cosplay was underdone and I was bad for doing her. Granted they were nice enough not to yell but it made me realize that I need to be less of a brat about my cosplaying a popular character. I didn't realize untill after the con that they were Kairi haters, I saw them after the con and they kept giving me nasty looks so I confronted them about their rude behavior they said that and I quote [6 years ago] 'Kairi's a bitch, so your a bitch for cosplaying her. I can't believe that you'd stoop so low to cosplay a slut like her! You should never cosplay again!' But yeah, I cosplayed her again [KH2 school version] at Sakuracon in '06/'07 and got the same thing. That's when I nearly stoped coming to con's because of the imaturity levels of me cosplaying certain characters that are 'hated'.

I think I'm done ranting for now anyways. [my Kairi cosplay was perfectly done down to the pendant]

I don't know how many of you are interested but I got a video up on YouTube with some moments I caught on my camera from the Zoo. I'll admit most of it is of the small group I hung around but I did my best to get a lot...but everyone was everywhere so it was hard and I just got what I saw first. Anyway, the Zoo part starts at 2:04 in the video, the first part of it is another trip myself and others went on in cosplay; feel free to look at that too if you want. Anyway here:

I generaly hate cosplaying mainstream anime, but this year I'm being draged into a Naruto cosplay.
OH SNAP.
Time for a Taz Effect! I just read this. Ok! So here what I think:
1. Cant get DRAGGED into anything. S'called peer preasuer and your giving in.
2. No ones fault.
3. You chose to do it.

You cant get dragged into anything. If you dont like Naruto cosplay then dont do it! If you like it, dont say you got dragged in it but that you chose to try it! M'KAY?!
Makes more sens that way.

I think that instead of saying the forced you to do it, I believe that Mentally is right, you should say they convinced to you to temporarily wear a cosplay. Even though I completely understand what you mean, I say people are forcing me to do stuff sometimes too, I guess she's just saying to maybe word it differently so you don't look so vicitimized since you technically are doing it willingly.
