Kumoricon will have an exhibitor table at the Uwajimaya Sakura Festival 2009, on Saturday, April 25, at the Beaverton location. We have increased our space and will have a larger table this year, and we'll be selling registrations. This is one of our most popular outreach events!

This is a great volunteer opportunity to help out Kumoricon by manning the table, helping with registrations, and answering questions. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact publicity@kumoricon.org or reply in this thread.

its cute and has a flower-theme so i deemed it appropriate for a sakura festival XD If you guys need extra help, I'm willing to do so~

Either that or I'll just be roaming around....I hope it's not too hot that day though like it was for the last event at uwajimaya @_@:;; the lolita dress has a lot of layers ;; But i will suffer through it!! Long live lolita! XD

oho~ well, i hope it doesn't rain, but i'm glad its going to be cool ^_^ curses..i do'nt own a lolita jacket....yet. i'd go on an ordering spree, but it won't get here in time for the festivale lol ;p even though my dress came really fast O o; but i'll be warm. NONETHELESS. Yea, i'm not sure if they sell batteries..i've never looked XD i'm too busy drooling over the food to look at other things lol ;p but sometimes i look at their bath salts

they're so nice :3 But I hope there's a good turnout for this

@Silence- Bodyline has some decent lolita stuff. Not totally sure about jackets... But their shipping is fast. I got a package from them 3 days after I placed the order! And normal cardigans and short jackets work pretty well with lolita... Try looking around some local stores~

One change from the information in the original post (which has now been edited): We won't be able to print badges on the spot, however, we will still be taking registrations at the table, and as usual, you can choose between mail-out and will call.

To my knowledge, the event is only Saturday. That is when we're scheduled to be there. The Uwajimaya Festival Japan usually held in September is two days.

EDIT: I read the earlier posts in this thread saying it will be more days... perhaps the exhibitors are only on Saturday? Anyway, Saturday, Apr. 25 is the day we're scheduled for.

Sad times. I just went to Uwajimaya homepage and there was some sort of event going on for three days that weekend. I could be wrong though =/

It would be humorous to see a SNOWtrooper get dropped into a spring festival, especially if it's sunny. But hey I saw one up at Sakuracon.

As far as I go, if I can't find some red pants for modern Inuyasha, then I'll just come in the travel kimono I bought at S-con and wear blue pants.

Well I found out that I could POSSIBLY go. The walk that I am participating in should be done around noon at the latest and I don't have to work till 4.....though I will be doing a 6.2 mile walk and then hanging out with a friend latter tomorrow night (its her birthday and all) so I might want to save my energy. I guess it all depends on how I feel after the walk.

Well if you could come as a stormtrooper, you could take an umbrella and complete the name if it rained.

Where was the Takoyaki stand? All I saw and have seen the last few times has been the Taiyaki stand.

There was no shaved ice!!! I was saddened by this. I went into the store and around the entire festival looking for for a good 15 minutes =(. I wasn't able to stay long because my friends got bored but I wanted to stay. Curses brother for stealing my vehicle.

I....bought...soooooo....much MANGA XDD! i got like 12 actual manga and i think 12 manga magazines as well @_@;; i went cwazy ;; i just finished unwrappin it all XD and i flipped through all of em in like two seconds XD ..............i should have been paying closer attentin to waht i bought tho XD some of it is...umm....interesting XD anywhoooo it was nice seeing ppl! i was a cold lolita, but it's ok

I was sad there was no takoyaki though ;; i wanted it to be breakfast XD but its okiiiiies

i got sooo much food ^_^ *feels pudgy now* ;; ...*but eats ice cream anyways* XD I'm crazy sleepy now, but i'll catch up before the death note movie
