So we are getting together at Cooks park on May 17th... and have a BBQ and games in cosplay of course... we meet there around 11... I will be there by 10:30 to start setting up

YES! I can't wait for this one since it is only about four blocks from my house and easy to get to. xD The park is always crowded, but still, a very nice place to hang out. I go there almost everyday. ^^ I think that if this one turns out well, it will be my favorite meet-up yet. :]

if you know where tigard high is, u can find cook park. there is a big sign by the high school that says where to go for cooks park.

I can help as much as needed for this meet-up. Having one so close is great. :] If you want, I can bring some sports equipment since there is so much room to play baseball/softball, volleyball, basketball, and (my fav') soccer. ^^

Also, hopefully it will be nice and warmer, since it is May. But of course, this is Oregon after all. xD

We are not allowed in the actual soccer field we will have to see if the baseball diamonds open... As it gets closer I will have more info on where to meet there are three gazibos and the one I am wanting to use is usually full so I will have to make plans with Tigard soon on that...

so last time i went to cooks park the baseball diamond was useable...so maybe if some one has a wall ball, we could play kickball. and also i have some baseballs and soft balls(real ones that are NOT soft) and a metal bat. Also i have some baseball gloves...
i have a soccer ball or two, but im not sure if my dog destroyed them or not tho...and i have some volleyballs and i think i may have a volley ball net! oh! it would be fun if we would play volley ball with a beach ball!

Anyways, I'm still on for it! Not sure what I can bring food wise, but as the date nears, I'll probably be able to come up with something along with the equipment. >< There is always the small grassy area by the play structure (old one that was remodeled) that isn't reserved for anything. Good, but small place to play there. If it doesn't rain, it probably wouldn't be worth it to rent an under cover place. But without knowing now, it's probably safer. Anyways, glad to see more people getting into such a local area of mine.

Let me know if I can help anymore, and I'll probably be checking back and forth a lot now. xD

I think that I will be able to finish Mikuo by this, all I have to do is make the arm things, the headset, find shoes, sew 4 zippers on the pants, make a belt, and buy the wig. I'm gonna buy the wig soon. My mom said I can get it because I am babysitting my brother. ;DSo I'll be ordering it this weekend and I will most likely have it in time.
I really hope the weather is alright for this...I would be sad if it rained...

It's no one's fault. Just things are happening and people can't come. I'm gone to Eugene for a council and competition my youth fraternity does every year, and because of it, I'm missing two meetups, my LARP game day, and a card game tournament, all things I look forward to. So the best thing is to track the list, and if too few have said they'll be showing, suggest a different day to try again, or just let it fall and tell them you'll be at one of the others. No one's keeping score of successes or failures or if you get 5 successful meetups you're an ace, or 5 failed ones and you're the master of fail.

But yes, I too have noticed the number of meetups having to change dates from lack of proposed attendance due to everyone's rocky schedules, and it happens in every organization. Even couples cancel their plans and reschedule to a better time and move on. So starting off, don't expect me, but if I do show I know where to go.

Also mentioning when sarcasm, joking around, or thinking out loud is applied can help avoid unintentionally putting others down. Just saying.
