Gunbuster-1 is really OLD (to me) isn't that the one that gave us the phrase 'Gainax Bounce?'

Liked Gunbuster-2 (aka 'Diebuster') but I liked Nostromo's AMV of it ('Auriga') even better.

Gainaxing predates even that, originally occurring in the intro video for DAICON IV

the group DAICON Film later went on to become Gainax, and the video has been parodied in FLCL and several other works.

So Gainax Bounce, or Gainaxing, predates Gainax.
