Maybe.  I'm still not exactly sure.  Maybe I'll ask my host-family if I have ramen and remember this discussion.

Well, fish cakes are mostly or completely tasteless (and I can think of a few really good burger places back home) so I would agree but maybe not that strongly.

Have you ever run through the mall naked screaming "Moon Crystal Power! Make-up!" and justify it by saying you were only trying to speed up the transformation process?

No

But I can almost imagine the officer explaining that you need to spin around quickly in order for it to happen.

why, even though so many animes have typical and even copycat plots do we still watch them?
And why do we still enjoy some characters in animes even though they are stereotypical and very over used?

as i read this i start sing sailor moon theam, honestly i don't know but think about it if its like a show that we've already seen, and if we watched that show we must of liked it, then by default it might be good, like i'm watchin tokyo kitty mewmew and i know its a rip off of sailor moon but i still watch

thats too bad.  some dubs are pretty good.  reminds me of one of the articles in my newtype magazine where anime hardcore fans will refuse to saw dub and say its horrible and ruins the anime even though  they never see the dub themselves.

Y'know, awhile ago the people bringing Tokyo Mew Mew to the US considered changing the title to "Hollywood Mew Mew."

Why, you ask?

Answer: The people in charge thought that their assumed audience (small children) would be too young to even know it took place in Japan and wanted to make the place somewhere "familiar."

Speaking of slaugtered dubs, never speak the title of the American Version of Cardcaptor Sakura when I'm around if you wish to avoid a painful and slow death.

They barely changed the title.

However, since they slaughtered the story so much, I dare not say the title.

Apparently, according to what I've heard, they didn't air eps 2-7, and went from the first episode to the episode where Syaoran was introduced.

They didn't do even that.  They started with the episode that Syaoran was introduced.  I heard the reason behind this was because it would make boys in the audience think "The serie's main character is a boy, right?  So it's okay to watch." or something like that.
The first episode was presented as a flashback.

And now a few other things in list form:
Madison
Julian
The mispronunciation of Sakura
The skipped episodes
And last but not least, the total change in dialouge.

I had a cat that used to do something similar to that.  My theory is that the cat is trying to groom your hair.

They do that too.  When I've seen my cat's groom each other, there will be the occasional biting which sometimes led to the occasional fighting.

My friend has frizzy hair, like afro-frizzy.
His cat licked it once and the hair velcroed right onto it's rough tongue and it was funny watching the cat try to get loose.

I like to have critical discussions of hentai.

I.E. I talk about the actual plot, the anime quality, character development, etc etc.

yeah...my parents bought like 10 ducklings home last saturday.  which created that last comment.

last I recall, pervert means having unusual sexual behavior.....so....does that mean the some earlier people are perverts..?  or is it normal to be very open about it all and talk about yaoi or yuri or whatever else pop into people's mind?  then would being prudish be perverted?

yeah.  I think not wanting to ANYTHING relating to sex is extreme prudish.   its would be like...the opposite of happosai or ataru.  I think...

personally, I'm usually somewhat prudish in that I dun really like to openly talk about sex.  so when people start talking about it openly, it can throw me off sometimes.

no we didn't name the ducklings....we dun have a way to tell them apart....and we're going to let them go once they're old enough.

True true.. I can talk about it pretty openly.. I work with a LOT of older women so yeah, some things they say can really make you ears bleed and give you  serious nose bleeds... ^___^;;  I've gotten used to it a little but it's still pretty funny when they talk about their men or some young thing that just stepped in the room for a little bit... ^///^  excuse me while I go clean up... nosebleed...

^///^  excuse me while I go clean up... nosebleed...

sounds like when I was in the military.  the place I would work at would joke about sex all the time it seems.  a few of them anyway.  usually the higher mid enlisted ranks(I remember one sgt saying that sgt are like a bunch of clowns.  not that they dun know when to be serious and when they can goof off).

I've noticed that ducklings smell and sound a lot like chickens.  and then I thinks they're really cute and its interesting how they always stick together.

Yeah, sho cuuuuute and sho fluffy!!! XD XD

yeah...my parents bought like 10 ducklings home last saturday.  which created that last comment.

last I recall, pervert means having unusual sexual behavior.....so....does that mean the some earlier people are perverts..?  or is it normal to be very open about it all and talk about yaoi or yuri or whatever else pop into people's mind?  then would being prudish be perverted?

My best friend gave me the nickname "Closet Pervert". Not just because of the fanfics, and the jokes...but.. *ahem* other stuff too...
