So, uhm, like many people here, I'm broke. And I wanted my hair to be in layers. So I put my hair up into a high ponytail and cut off a bit.

Needless to say, it looks awful. It's worse than the time I cut a lock of hair off because it was knotted or the time I cut off part of my bangs because I thought they looked weird. . You know what, I shouldn't be allowed near scissors. >.>

So, uhm, do you guys have any ideas you know will fix this mess? Aside from going to the salon to fix it? ^^;;

Layering shears? Get a friend that's good at wigs and get them to even it out.

I really need to stop cutting off parts of my hair. -has it pulled into a bun underneath a hat- I'm surprised there's enough left for a bun. ==;; And it was finally growing out, too.

Shave the whole head. Go get a lot of wigs. Then pick your hair like you pick your clothes.

But you gotta admit, osla, shaving off her hair didn't really help her reputation too much.

I'm not gonna shave my head unless I have to go through chemotherapy or something, because I know watching my hair fall out would just depress me too much.

lol that would be fun for all of a week for me. Then it would just seem daunting. Dont get me wrong I love wigs, but I pity anyone who has to wear them all the time. They are just so limiting.

Oh wooow. Why would you do something like that? I mean.. putting it back into a ponytail and cutting it off like that. Your hair is all different lengths when pulled back into a hair tie. That's a little dumb, no offense. But that might also be because my mother cuts hair. ~ ~ I would suggest finding the shortest part of your hair, and getting someone to cut the rest of your hair that same length, and just going from there. Don't cut straight across, either. Unless you're going for a straightedge look. Cut going up against the hair so it won't be as thick at the ends.

I've done something like this before... although notably, I was about four when I did it lol.
Yeah, just get someone who is the most decent you know with scissors and even it out so it won't look as choppy, I guess.
Overall, I hope you've learned a valuable lesson here T-T;
