:3 Yeah, That's basicly it.
And then there's Aislyn. She's a cool person. She'd put up with people, as long as no one insulted her or anything. She's a really good artist so... I dunno. If you said you liked her drawings, she'd probably let you stay longer.

have a sample of her work?

Yeah, I do... It's a little old and it's definatly not some of her greatest, and the way the legs go is a little un-natural... She dosn't really use computers at all, she's old fashioned. She uses pencil and I ink it. :3

It say's Meek on it beacuse that's the name we use... But it also says 'Aislyn Dirkx' at the bottom. ._. Even though it looks like 'Amm Dinx'.
I don't know what the writing is... so I couldn't answer that question.

hmm...I can see what you mean on the leg(it going backwards O_o).  I also notice that shape of the body seems off.
どこ午が。 that doesn't seem to make any sense....just random japanese? (although your signture does make some sense "is yaoi far?")

Yeah. Aislyn didn't pay enough attention in Jap class. >_> She probably saw it on some screen shot and thought it was cool... I dunno. I just ink everything... Aren't the first two characters 'doko'? I can't read Kanji yet (Excpet for 'inu' and 'yama'). And the last one's 'ga'...
AHAHAH. Yes I want to know where the yaoi is. Yaoi wa chikai desu ka? Yaoi wa toi desu ka?

"Where's a.m./p.m.?" is what I read (sort of)
The kanji is "go" and is usually used for time like a.m. and p.m.
Gozen means a.m. and gogo (second go is different) means p.m.
The ga I'm a little unsure of.

And I have to say nice drawing.  ^_^

As for the yaoi, asoko de.  (points in random direction)

ohh nice.  My wig for haku is nearly completetion(picture of it somewhere in cosplay chat section).  Are you going to keep the ring for the giant bells.  I remember someone I know who has bells on her cosplay(technicall crossplay) but she didn't want them ringing whenever she did any movements so she planned on gluing them so they wouldn't ring.  You hate making the collar or is it wearing them?

あそこで just means "over there (away from us)."  ここ and そこ mean "here (near me)" and "there (near you)."
So I was just saying that the yaoi was over there.

In romanji, there's a "u" after the "So" but it's nothing to really worry about.

Masaki Tanaka. He's a 7th grader... He's really shy, and he dosn't speak much english (Though he understands it...). We eat lunch together. And listen to T.M. Revolution. He went to Japan over the winter break and he bought me a copy of some manga. I've been able to read a page or two... >D I really like him... I just don't know how to say it... 'AISHITERU!'
That would freak him out though.
I'm gonna sign his yearbook in Japanese, probably some song lyrics. .__. Which is really cheesy.

aahhh nice.  that was nice of him to get you some manga from japan.  I remember a classmate in my JP class read Negima manga in JP.   I dunno how well he reads it, but kanji shouldn't be a problem as they usually have hiragana right next to it.

I'm presuming he was initally raised in Japan yes?  Aishiteru would embarrassed the world out of him I think.  From what I learned, JP almost never never ever use "I love you" to each other.  daisuki(really like) is used much more often in it place.  which I think is why its can often be translated as I love you.

I'm not sure where he was born but he's raised in a Japanese speaking household (I introduced myself to him mom last friday. She's so sweet), though we 'chat' in Japanese each time we see each other.
Me: Ohayo! (Or whatever greeting, depends on the time...)
Misaki: Ohayo. -grin- (He's always smiling. Ahhh. -blush-)
Me: O-genki desu ka?
Misaki: Hai. O-genki desu ka?
Me: Hai. :3
-awkward silence, me grinning, him grinning.-
Miskai: Ja mata.
Me: Ja. :3

That's basicly what happens... I need to learn some more sentances.... .__.

Ack, couldn't help it.

First let me just say that it does sound cute, Neko_Chan.  ^_^
Somehow I could picture that discussion too.

As for the grammer, the only thing you missed was the "o" particle or を between "nani" and "shimasu."
So it would be "nani o shimasu ka."
But if you want to be really, really, really technical, you made the sentence half casual by leaving out the を .

AAAWWWWW!

Neko you are so adorable!
I'd be a total Neko-Misaki Shipper if you were an anime character!  :D

I have a question for the Japanese linguists in the house.
What is an exclamation of accomplishment?

I know i've heard more than one "I did it!" or "Success!" in anime and I want to know the possible exclamations so I can shout them out when I complete stuff on my LJ or website.

There's also Sugoi (I'm unsure... Awsome?)

I think you're right on "Yoshi".  Sugoi does mean awesome.  you can also say "Ometetou"(my spelling is likely off.  Negima?) which means "congrats" more or less.

Kurimono, you're close.  It's Omedetou but you got the meaning right.

"Yoshi" is one of them and it is pronounced along the lines of "Yosh."  I don't know how else to describe it other than dropping the "I."  In my opinion, it kinda means something along the lines of "Alright" or "Yeah, I got it."  I'm not sure what to give as an exact definition.

(Bear with me as my host-family computer can't do hiragana without crashing on this site for some reason)

Some other possibilities are:
Yatta (You're basic "I did it")
Sugoi ("Awesome")
Sugee (Also "awesome," usually used by males)
Dekita ("I did it" but I haven't heard it as much)
Katta ("I won")

I feel like there's more but I can't think of anymore.

Ken Akamatsu(the author) tends to do a lot of fanservice.  maybe a bit too much.   The stories of his comics are really good imo so I like them.  I like the new arc(for the English manga, I'm presuming Negima is ahead reading the JP ones) in vol 4 with setsuna(like the big sword o_o).  and each girl in Negima's class has an unquine personility and so far, you have like a chapter or two at least for each student.

BTW Negima, you have any idea how many students he has explored in the comics in the JP so far?

Yeah... I had the first few books of Love Hina and my mum found them... Okay, so they weren't under my matress or anything... It was on top of my bookshelf with all my other manga... And she's like 'Love heena...' And she went thru them and she like... threw them away.
But then again, before that Aislyn was reading them at the dinner table. God, sometimes I can't stand her stupidity.

you make her sound like an ditzy anime/manga fangirl otaku(or something....no offense btw o_o).  lets see...major yaoi fangirl and shoves it in your face and its "ahhh!! X_X" kind of yaoi, writes a bunch of fanfiction that she has you read and horrible speller, and now reads manga in front of people who wouldn't like the material....

Ohh. I'm a biotch. xD I'm really nice in person, I think it's just beacuse I have so much freedom on stuff like the internet I tend to lash out at them... I have my bad habbits too... Like. I 'karate chop' people. I like sneak up on people and I'll like. 'PACHOW' and I'll like, hit their arm.
Yes, they are going to K-con. Aislyn's Going as Chii (Elda) Lauren as Inuyasha and Megan's as Tifa Lockheart. My Friend Corey's also comming along, He's Kenshin. It's either Aislyn's or Megan's Parent's Comming with us... They haven't decided.

I'll hafta be prepared for the new Super Neko_Chan Action figure with karate chop action!

I'm just imagining you stifly walking down the hallway like an 8-bit game caharacter saying "wa-POW! wa-POW! wa-POW!" as you make a chopping action with one arm.

Oh no! "Your Head A Splode!"
