I fully recommend Repo fans to go view it at the Clinton. It may be a new experience for the theater, but we can bring our love to it like people do with the Rocky Horror.

I watched this movie last night. I wasn't too impressed with it.

OH MY GOD THE MUSIC. About half of the people in the movie had the worst voices ever. Ok, I'm over exaggerating but the main girl in the movie sounded like a shrill rat. She couldn't carry a god damn tune and errrrrgh. I thought most of the songs were poorly written minus the Graverobber and the two songs that I remember the Repoman singing in. Still I WANT TO STRANGLE THAT GOD DAMN CHILD FOR MAKING MY EARS BLEED D:<

I thought the art direction of the movie was amazing though. It was gorgeous and made the movie enjoyable to watch. I love seeing films with an interesting overtone such as this. The story was meh. There were times when I became bored with it, but it was enough to get me through the movie. Plus Anthony Stewart Head is <3 and made it worth watching least once.

Yeah, good one time, never again, etc, etc. I like musicals/opera's a lot but I really didn't like this.

I think most people were annoyed with her voice. I enjoy mocking her every once in a while.

But for the story, there was a ton cut out of it. There's a lot of gaps in it, I know that Eve explains the story holes very nicely. :D

Yeah I can agree Alexa Vega isn't the best person for a singing role. She should just stick to the kids movies.

I liked the movie in some parts but the one that tempted me never to see it again was the whole "17" bit with Alexa Vega. Not only is she horrible with singing but I thought that the song didn't have any thing to do with the movie and it annoyed the crap out of me.

I totally sang that song for my sister when she turned 17 in July. Dressed up as Shilo and everything. It was terrifying.

She requested that I do it for her. XD I didn't have too much of a problem, either. I had a black wig that I borrowed. It actually turned out half decent for something I threw together so quickly. x.x

@Sayda: Well that's good that you didn't have too much of a problem. Wait... did you re-enact the "17" scene or did you just sing from it. I don't get it!!!! >.<

@ Mitsukai: I saw her mom! She's great and she's friends with a lot of my friends too.

I guess I'm a little late in saying this, but DemonSpawn, CatchxMe, CloudStrife32, and FrozenLight showed me it at Kumoricon this year.
Frankly, I fell madly in love with it ^_^
I have seen it over 10 times and know most of the songs by heart :3

I found it quite lovely, dispite the blood.
I wish I would have listened to my friend Gabe earlier, and gone to see it with him Dx.

Okay, so I saw the movie a week or two ago.  At first I didn't like it because it was a little hard getting into the setting, and the songs were blah.  As the movie went on and I knew who all the characters were and what their role was it got a lot better.  By the end of the movie I would say I liked it, with one exception, the songs.  Ya I know it was a musical, no need to tell me again and again about that, but I think about half the songs I didn't like the lyrics.  They didn't seem to flow right or make much sence, but I know it is hard to make a whole musical movie and get everything sounding perfect.  The other half of the songs I did enjoy and thought they went well with the scene they were put into.

My favorite part of the movie as a whole were the costumes, everything in the movie about the clothing was awesome.  This is what made the movie for me.  As for my favorite character, the graverobber was my favorite and I think he was some of the best parts.  Even though he had the smallest part of the whole movie, except maybe on par with the two sons and daughter of GeneCo's owner Rotti, everything about the character fit and was done well.  Be it his singing or his grave yard skulk, any part I didn't like was made up for by this one character.

Everyone loves Graverobber.  ;D

Everyone should! He made sure that he had all the best parts because he's the creator. The actor and the character were around from the very start, when the show was just a three song theme set in a concert.

Check out the dvd special features some time, the story of how the movie came to be is fascinating.

I introduced a new groupd to Repo! recently, then a few weeks later introduced them to Rocky Horror. It was really bizarre to me that people out there were actually seeing them in this order now.

I have some good news for some of you and some bad news for the rest.

The good news is that we're going to be showing REPO! The Genetic Opera at M.E.W. Con, possibly with a trained shadowcast performing. (I'll announce more once I have news on this second part)

The bad news is that we have to make it 18+ because of the R rating. :<

How the Fu$& is Repo R rated?  Blood and non bad language doesn't equal R in most movies now a days, ether is all the killing in EVERY movie made.

Repo is rated R for strong bloody violence and gore, language, some drug and sexual content.

YEah, and they had to tone it down a lot to get that rating. See the studio was pushing for PG-13 so things aren't nearly as hard core as they wanted, but they still ended up being R rated. The director complains about it quite a bit in his commentary.

Ah no wonder, because all of that is in PG-13 now a days, guess they just didn't bribe the rating office hard enough like all the big name movies...
