Honestly I don't know if I could handle the sequel, Eve. I tend to immerse in things I watch or read, and imagine myself in their universes (hence how I'm drawn to fanfic and cosplay). That's one universe I have no desire to revisit......I want to be able to sleep soundly!

I did, however, read vivid descriptions of all the Saw movies in homage to Repo's codirector, and was surprised to want to know how things would end. Of course that's different than being able to stomach watching the nasty deaths. Not something I could handle. Even watching nature documentaries I turn my head when predators eat raw prey.

So, new news just in! There is finally a solid date confirmed for the Repo! Extended Soundtrack! Darren just said yesterday that the CD will be released February 17th! It will be in Hot Topic, at least, if not other stores. So, yes...

Everybody! Everybody! Go out! Go out, now!
P-P-Pay up! Don't be shy!
Get your copy of the soundtrack! Get it! Get it!

Has anyone followed the filk and gotten the Extended Soundtrack? What other goodies await us?

Any word on the 2nd film (which I've read will be a prequel and not a sequel)?

BTW Sarah Brightman fans--I ordered for myself, my dad's bday, and my best friend's bday, her "Andrew Lloyd Weber Collection" cd. The best tracks on it are Phantom of the Opera, Another Suitcase in Another Hall (which is from Evita), and Macavity the Mystery Cat. I'm open to making copies for folks who want them (given that I paid for 3 copies). I will probably be at the March GM if anyone wants to give me blank CDs then. Potentially I could have my (or anyone's) comp at the meeting and just do the deed there.

I have stopped following Repo! news because I have come to the conclusion that it is a pointless effort. Last I checked (a couple days ago) the Extended Soundtrack is still not out. It was supposed to be in stores on Tuesday and....surprise, surprise, it wasn't.

Nobody knows what's going on, not even the creators and promoters of the film and soundtrack.

Everything is in Limbo.

But yeah, I know nothing about it.

I had you in mind when I invested in Sarah Brightman. Don't know if Broadway tunes are your thing, though. Let me know if you want a copy. :)

I'm definitely interested in checking out Sarah Brightman's other musical ventures and albums, thanks for the info. I'm not sure when the next meeting is, or where, but depending on those two criteria I may take you up on the offer. ^_^

Yeah, hopefully we will meet at Kumoricon if not any other events.

Do you plan to attend either of Uwajimaya's festivals, by chance?

Don't know when they are; but I can't say it's financially likely. Unless I happen to be in the area for other reasons, in which case I'd volunteer at the KC table.

So, for those who want the Extended Soundtrack, it is now absolutely confirmed to be in the stores and on the shelves. Hot Topic has it, online and in store. So, yeah, there it is! I have to go get it soon.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I really want to pick it up, but they kind of missed their window of opportunity. I had money for the soundtrack, I checked multiple times and it never showed up. Now that it is there, I'm broke, lol.

Shame, shame, Repo!

So the only cosplay you actually have to work on is a Gentern, right? Your other two for S'Con are already made?

Way to represent Repo, Marie, heh

I have the Gentern, and Axel to be finished. All I need though is the shoes for the Gentern, and the two wigs for Axel. So that's about 100$ left.

Ahh, thanks? XD

Hey, I'm working on a costume for one of Rotti's henchgirl bodyguards.  There are two of them, though, and I was wondering if anyone else would want to be the other one?

So Kahlan got me the Extended Soundtrack, woo! We kept checking at Hot Topic, and we finally found a copy.

It's good. There are a lot of new tracks, only a couple tracks that weren't in the movie, but there are a lot new to the soundtrack. Good stuff!

And it was super cheap, the same price as the original soundtrack, oddly enough. Only 11.99 or so.

Wow that cheap? That's almost nothing! I was expecting 20$ or so. But I guess I don't really spend money on CD's, I base all my prices off of movies which are generally 20$.

I'm definitely going to pick it up now! Haha, maybe I'll search for it today before we leave so we'll have something to listen to on our way up to Seattle.
