Portland has a lot of great sushi places, just wanted to tell you about a special I came across this week:

Every Tuesday and Wednesday is $1 day at Sushi Sushi; it' a track sushi place in SE PDX.

Decent food, great price, and the nicest people on earth.

I like Marinepolis in Beaverton for a cheap sushi fix. They opened a new one in Bridgeport, but the the young cooks I saw there use WAY too much rice on the rolls. And they have some specialty rolls with so much hot sauce and other sauces it is hard to call it "sushi".

Do "Cheap" and Sushi" belong in the same sentence even? lol. There are couple alright places here in corvallis, me and a buddy spent $120 on sushi one time. lol! Good Times.

For track sushi, their prices are standard fare but they're just doing this special twice a week to try and develop their business. It's not top grade sushi - come on, it's track sushi. But for it is, it's decent. And at $1 plate, you can't beat that. The last time I went, I enjoyed 34 ^_^

i usually stick to 20 plates or less, so i dont eat sushi very often. Then again, due to my dislike of nori, i usually stick to nigiri.

Sounds nice...it's in SE and on 82nd so it sounds pretty close to the Clackamas area, if I'm not mistaken. I'll have to give it a shot sometime!

Yep, just a few miles north - all you got to do is head up north on 205 and exit on Foster Rd. (or even up 82nd)

There's a sushi place that's cheap over here in Clackamas.
It's called Sushi land and it's located across the clackamas mall XD

Sushiland is ok...but they aren't $1 eah! and I don't care for the food as much :/

There's also a place on PSU campus called Bluefin sushi and they have $1 plates from 5-9 pm...I wouldn't go there if the plates weren't a dollar

gosh =D whenever i got the the sushi belt places, i always get so full after only like, less than 10 plates D= then i get sad because i want to eat more

but i live in Tigard,and everyone in Tigard goes to Sushi Hana on highway 99, but if i'm ever near the other place, ill check it out

Sushi Takahashi is good and cheap. The Japanese beers are 3.00 instead of the 4.00 most places charge, because you can't eat sushi without a Kirin or Sapporo. I only ate there for the first time a week ago, despite living across the freeway from it for the better part of 2 years.

Add "Sushi-Go-Round," a kaiten-zushi joint on NW 23rd. Plates of pairs of things start at $1.25 and many good dishes are available for $1.75 - 2.25. A bowl of rice is $1 and hot tea is free.

You can easily get a filling and tasty lunch for under $7.

well, i'll have to try this sushi sushi place out. i personally love bluefin. i go their fairly often. and in tigard, theres a place called Sushi Hana. they have pretty good sushi for a good price.

jk, just couldn't resist throwing that in.
I've been going to the Marinepolis in beaverton since I was like 4, always been decent priced. They like never raise the prices of their plates. I just don't really like the new chefs, they overuse the hot sauce D: I miss the old people that used to work there like Riki and Francine and my cousin's friend Kimberly ;__; they were so friendly and nice. I misses them!!

I heartily recommend Sambi. However, if you don't speak Japanese, you may be at a bit of a disadvantage in there. But the food is good and the price is right.

It's my very most favorite restaurant ever.

I have to second Sushi Takahashi, I love that place. Delicious and cheap. Although I tend to go to Sushi Takahashi 2 more than the other one. My only problem with the place is that their hours are terribly sporadic lately. Seems like they are rarely open.
