College and PSATs

^__________________________________________________________^

I am one very happy person. Back in December, I got my score back on my PSAT. Which was a 1310... I know it's just the PSAT, but colleges look at it. So, today, I got an e-mail from Oregon State Univeristy. They want me to apply there... I was so excited. I hear it's a good school? Does anyone here attend there? Or atleast live in the area?

I really don't like OSU, there's a lot of things under construction there (and will be for the next couple years) and it's kinda dirty. and all the portable toilets everywhere smell x.x;

Despite the bias that I have towards the Oregon schools, it really comes down to what you want to study.  If you're aiming for some of the hard sciences, I'd probably choose OSU, if you're more for the Arts & Letters or business, I'd say U of Oregon.
From personal experience I can say that Eugene (UO) has a better culture with things to do besides campus than Corvallis (OSU).

Okay, because my main interst in a major, is either Journalism or Photograpy. Maybe even Literature or Writing... I dunno...

Journalism would definately be University of Oregon, they have a great Journalism department, it's very competitive though.  As long as you're dedicated to it, you'll make it through it.
