Mascot Entry

Okay, well, here's the thing. I suppose this is both a complaint and a question.

Now see, I entered the mascot contest this past year for the mascot for 2009, and due to lack of funds I wasn't able to go to Kumoricon. However, I got in touch with a friend who went to Kumoricon and looked through the big book thing till I reached the part where all the entries we're displayed.

And mine wasn't there.

Is there any particular reason it wasn't shown in the booklet? And did anyone else have this problem?

Mascot entries in the book are for the year prior. So the 2008 con book had the entries for 2007. Effectively, this means there is a 1-year lag.

The reason is that the winner of a given year's contest is not announced until the end of the con.
