Anyone heading to Aki-con?

I think it's in its first year, because I went to their site and didn't have any archives or previous info about past cons, plus their forums were pretty bare...
Anyways, next month -Nov. 7-9- is Aki-con. It's held in Everett, just north of Seattle. It's held at the Holiday Inn downtown, suggesting it's not quite mind-blowingly massive yet, but they are still advertising standard con prices and events, plus a 24-hour viewing room.
So I was just wondering if anyone saw it and plans on going. Their site is www.akicon.org if you're interested.

It's a pretty distinct possibility that I'll be going, but with a distance like that I doubt I would be able to bring my sitar or come for all three days. It's more than likely I would go up Firday night and head down Sunday around two. So yeah, not much time to spend. I'm seeing if anyone in your little group of epic wants to do a cosplay skit, though.

the people at the booth were pretty nice but alas I cannot go. I'm low on funds and I have a bunch of other stuff to worry about right now. it does look like a lot of fun though.

Yea im psyched me and abuncha my friends are going and Hopefully my Chris Redfield Cosplay will be done by then. Though its doubtful i'll get a hotel room due to the fact its only in everett.

Well, Everett is only about 30 minutes from downtown Seattle (and an hour from my place south of Seattle T_T)  I'm sure Seattle will have something open.

lol what i meant is its real close by me soo i might not get a room, but i'd be willing to share a room and split the cost with someone if my friends dont feel the need to get a room. Having a room would be waaay more convinient rather then commuting down for all 3 days.

It's about 20 minutes from my house. I'd feel guilty if I didn't go, especially since it is in its first year. Gotta support any anime events in my area! Probably not going to get a hotel room, since I'd feel kind of silly if I did.

I'm running two panels! One is a novice cosplay construction panel on Friday evening, and the other is "Iron Cosplay" on Sunday afternoon (just before closing ceremonies). It might be asking a lot, but maybe there's a chance to crash with someone in a hotel or something...? Otherwise I'll be taking the metro up to Seattle, then getting on the sound up to Everett. 1+ hours of commute and I feel like I'm missing too much of the con T_T

and at the door 35 so not to much out of the way......but yea need a hotel room to want to stay out there for 3 days lol

If you got a car that's leaving really late on Thursday night, I get off work at 11PM, and we can make the con by the wee hours of the morning. Fuel expenses paid.

AT LEAST IT'S NOT IN BELLEVUE, SPOKANISTAN, OR T-TOWN. (All bad places for those of you unfamiliar with Seattle)

Bellevue is only bad for CRAZIES. It's a really nice town otherwise :/ AND SPOKANISTAN IS SO FAR AWAY FROM HERE.
