I have mine all planned out too.

First day I'll go as Yuzuki from Chobits, Second day I'll be Dejiko from DiGi Charat, and the Third day I'll just be a random girl in a school fuku with a sign that says 'Hug a School Girl (No old perverts!)" >D

Okay, I finally caved in and have decided to add "Black Gema Gema Dan" member to the list of cosplay for me. Part of the reason is it would be fun to try two costumes. Also, when am I going to find another character I could go as that's a cat-boy?
I'm still trying to decide which day to wear what. Kakashi is definitely my choice for Day 2. I just need to figure out if I want to start the con or end it as a Black Gema Gema member. Suggestions?

Now I just need to start planning on how to make cat ears. ^_^

Well, assuming I have the money to even go... *crosses fingers and hopes really hard that I get an internship this summer* I'll be going as Sango in her battle outfit from Inu Yasha, as well as Kotoko from Chobits again.

If I'm lucky enough to have enough money to make another costume, then I'll be going as adult Mya from Exodus: Faded Spirits (a RPG that's in the process of being made). I really, REALLY hope I can do that, 'cuz it sounds like we're going to have a whole group of Exodus cosplayers, so it'll be soooo much fun

Are you doing the same costume for kid Mya as Liz did last Kumori? She's gonna be jealous

There's alternate costumes being designed for Mya right now, so I'd highly recommend you do one of those to avoid any "Which kid Mya is better?" jealousies :roll:

Well, seeing as this will be my first cosplay, i think Jiraya is going to be a little too hard, so i'm going to start more simply. I think Kankuro (Garra's brother, puppet master, from Naruto) would be pretty simple.

Neither of my parents really like cosplay(or anime for that matter), but they letting me go thru with it. One of their objections is how Haku looks like a girl <_<.

They allow me to go to the Movies... And fairs and stuff... And they've paid for a some (okay, almost all) of my Cosplay supplies. So they are okay, but they could let me do more stuff. >__>
They always ask me if I have a boyfriend. And I just want to scream out (In public) "I'm a Lesbian!" (I'm not though... Just as a joke. >DD I'd freak them out.)

My friend's parents (Megan's.) are comming with us to K-con... I know I'm gonna get followed around and babysat. Hmph. I think I'm old enough to take care of myself... The only thing I need from them is a ride...

interesting....I get the impressation sometimes from my parents that they want me to get a girlfriend(I have yet to have one)....
At least they're supporting a lot of what you're doing though. Although, imo, there isn't much point to cosplay if you can't get to show it off somehow.

lol yes I'm a guy. However, your not the first to make that mistake(and won't be the last, I think there may be still be a few people who still think I'm a girl irl). In rpgs, I often pick a female characters and then my mannerism(which ranges from neutral to somewhat feminine) makes people think I AM a girl. And I'm pretty certain that most of my online friends consider me a girl even if they know my rl gender as well O_o.

Okurimono means "gift". its comes from my rl first name that I rather not give out to public internet. I picked it out way back when I still in high school taking a JP class.

Nurse Witch Komugi? haven't heard of that series. I got the idea of looking for a JP name when a classmate of mine took one and actually put it down on his homework. He had a Korean first name I believe and I believe he was able to get it into kanji(I could be wrong).

Speaking of Korea, thats the only place I would like to visit more then Japan as South Korea is where my mother came from and I would like to see that part of my hertiage. Sadly, I dun remember how to speak Korean =(.

Anyway, he tought me how to draw the South Korean flag and we would always sit in class and whisper to each other thoes stupid 1-800-callatt things and then we would just start laughing. o__o; We were weird children.

sounds like fun. my mother did try teaching me Korean again but didn't work out that well....her places does have lots of Korean ornaments and she did celabrated Tol, a Korean holiday that celabrates the first birthday of a child. I have pictures of the han bok(traditional Korean clothes) if you like to see them.

I like to think weird as a compliemt. become too normal then you're dull......something like that.....

yeah that can be very true. and I think some places you can be more wierd then others. like online or at an anime convention.

People can be completely different online than RL :shock: I have this classmate that is super quiet and relatively nice, but online he's obnoxious and won't shut up :x People tend to turn more in the bad weird direction on the internet, and more the good weird at anime conventions, from my experience

really? hmm....if you read earlier in the thread(near the beginning of me and neko's conversation of this thread of this morning), I mentioned that I tend to act like a girl a lot online. At least, I get confused for one a lot of the time and I'm pretty certain that my online friends just consider me another girl even though they know my irl gender.

well, they do start treating you differently afterwards. so far, even after they learn I'm a guy irl, they still treat me like another "girl". I suppose it makes sense with female character habit and sometimes I'll do overly girly acts/manners.

I remember one guy in FFXI who thought my mithra was a real girl because I was "too polite". And then there was the first RPG(a chat room one) and a girl said "I'm sorry, but you're one of the girls"....sometimes I dunno what to think of all that. Doesnt really stop me though as most of the time, I'm just acting my normal self......although now I have to wonder if my normal self is really a girl O_o

which reminds me that Liz does want me to crossplay as well O_o

Heh, plenty of guys tend to have a strong feminine side, it's not that unusual. Look at Piro (from MegaTokyo), he plays girl chars all the time and gets mistaken for a girl when he's in the Shoujo section of the manga store

yeah I'm in some ways a lot like Piro. I even have his B4k4 ^ 2 t shirt(I pretty much almost always wear megatokyo/anime t shirts). However, I'm not the type to get mistaken for a girl unless its online. I think my dad find its rather disconcernign though....which I sometimes think he wants me to get a girlfriend(not that I"m not interested, I'm just not actively looking).

yeah that may be it. both are pretty conservative on behaviors and dress. LIke I said, I dun expect to get one soon. partly because I'm such a computer geek. Although its kinda funny in that most of my best friends online are girls...or at least act like them.

Nothing. you just dun meet a ton of people that way(for dating anyway). I spend most of my time on the computer(or the tv, game consoles, and then lastly the mall...shopping fun!! ^_^). I have met and befriend various people online, but its much more difficult to find a date unless you actively try.

Eh, I guess there's a fair amount of truth to that... I went 20 years without ever being asked out. Tho part of that probably had to do with the fact that I scared all the guys in my middle school and high school since I had a reputation for body checking them into walls when they managed to piss me off (which isn't easy to do).
