I just got into cosplay, and I've decided that cons are much more fun in costume. I have a few characters I aspire to be, but there's one that I'd absolutely LOVE to do; the summon Judgment from the game Golden Sun.

It would be ridiculously difficult to make, transport, and wear, and I don't think a whole lot of people would recognize it, but that is my cosplay dream.

So, what character do you dream to cosplay someday? What's stopped you from doing it thusfar? Difficulty? Obscurity? Lack of funding? Post a pic if you can, so we can all look forward to it if you eventually tackle it.

princess Nuala from Hell boy too. it'll take so much time and money to get my face right and contacts. and her outfit that I want to do is crazy. and I can't find to many good pictures of it. but I will achieve it some day. *determined*

Only one of my favorite anime characters of all time...

Boogiepop from Boogiepop Phantom.

A dream because it would cost me a lot of money and from what I've heard it's hard to do well. Lots of time too because not only is it all that but she's wearing a sailor fuku under the cloak.
But I'll do it...someday.

ooo thats something I've liked to do myself as well.

my dream cosplays a bit more of wanting to do a certain theme or series. like someone with wings, a person of royalty, Suikoden game series. I haven't really found characters I liked enough to do within those themes/series though.

I say unto you all: DO EET!!

Mine was Lina Inverse, and if you were at Kumoricon you probably saw me. I put a LOT of time and money into this costume, but it was TOTALLY worth it. It's gotten more positive responses (and pics) than all of my other costumes put together!! (It didn't hurt that it's, well, Lina--but hey)

My next dream? This one's for Sakuracon 2010...it requires me to make a hat, possibly learn both leatherworking and woodwork, and how to make the lantern light up. Bring the pain!

... MY LACK OF COSPLAY SKILLS HAVE LEFT ME IN DESPAIR!

But nevertheless, I hope to find a way to obtain this costume in time for Sakuracon '09, mostly for personal reasons regarding the con in the first place.

a few final fantasy characters... one being ultimecia... just not sure how to do the hair and such and i'm not thin enough... also some of the summons, such as shiva or siren, also not thin enough, and the wings for siren would be tough. maybe someday though, if i can lose more weight >.<

yes we should. I wasn't able to do much monday at the con as I'm trying to not pass out from lack of sleep(I lasted til about early afternoon then I was knocked out). just have to do it in the future then ^_^

Jirarudan from Pokémon (forgive the lighting in that picture, my scanner must have been acting up). It's not that his costume is difficult, since it really isn't (white pants, brown shoes, and a long blue coat/jacket/long shirt/whatever that thing is), but I'd want to go all out. So I'd have to learn poise...and perfect my singing because I'd have to do his image song at karaoke and his VA is a Broadway star.

Although the two huge stumbling blocks are his hair (it's green, poofy, and sticks up in two places) and the fact that his coatthing goes straight so I'd have to lose a *lot* of weight for it.

Although I already have two awesome props for it--the Ancient Mew card and a Lugia doll.

My dream Cosplay would be the movie version of Van Fanel from Escaflowne. Right now the hardest part would be making the Shoulder armor on his left. If I really work at it the earliest i could get it done is by Sakura-Con '09.

I just remember that Mai-Otome(manga verison)'s Mashiro is a character that could fit both of the themes I mentioned, but the outfits would be uber hard to make and expensive.

It'd take three people, one on to control each of Link's legs so two in the front would look like they're standing next to a life-sized puppet of Link, complete with controllable puppet-head. The person in the back would be both of Link's hind legs and would control a life-sized Midna puppet.

But it might look goofy. YYyyeah. I'm weird. Sorry.

It would make it even more difficult, but if you had the three puppeteers dressed as Shadow Beasts, they'd blend in a lot better. (Especially since Shadow Beasts usually appear in a trio).

Or they could be dressed as Twili, or Hylian soldiers or something.

I've got a new one: Grave of Maria from D.Gray-Man. It would be hell to figure out how to do the butterfly on her face, and even harder to walk in foot-tall platform shoes to make me seven feet tall... And a total nightmare to put on because that would be one hell of a petticoat, but I want to do it soooooooo bad.

What would be really cool would be to get Judgment and Catastrophe together, though I think Catastrophe would be even harder to make. But it would be SO AWESOME.

It would take FOREVER to make, be hard to transport, and put on and what not.... but I REALLY want to do it. though I dont know how I will get through doors with it on ._.

Umm, let's see...
I still consider myself a novice costumer.
I can barely sew at all.
The costumes I have made have been completed through some very innovative methods. I try to start with pieces of clothing that I can find at a place like Goodwill, then find very creative minimal-sewing methods to alter them.

This...is not simple clothing.
But I really think I will attempt it. Kumoricon '09 is my goal.
It shall be a learning experience.

Except, this is also a possibly hazardous costume.
What with all of the...appendages.
