Since I'm completely hotel illiterate...
Are the room rates per person per night, or are they per room per night?

Basically I'm trying to understand what my husband and I will be paying per night to stay. And I couldn't find a 2010 update in here, so I wasn't sure what all had changed.

It is per room, per night. I haven't checked but there is the possibility the rate goes up slightly if more people are in the room. Though right now it's reported to be just a flat $124/night, using the KUM code:

Kylite i think that car escort by the youjimbo for scared car owners is a swell idea and should be OFFICIALLY sanctuioned. Youjimbo are after all security. So why not officially have that?

Yojimbo cannot do anything officially off-site.  The legal problems with that are kinda ... huge.

They cannot escort people off-site as Yojis, but if they want to stick their staff badge in a pocket and go off duty for a moment, they can do stuff like that.

Konnichi wa!
The current $35 registration is for all 3 days. It goes up as you get closer to con and hotels get booked up so you will want to register and book hotels as soon as you can. Saves you alot of money and worries about arrangements.

Yes, you can register online and there is great info and links on this page: http://www.kumoricon.com/registration

The staff here is always happy to help you. Have a great con ne.

Kumoricon has no control over the staff of the Hilton.
However all complaint from last year have been presented to the Hilton representatives.
We are all working to make sure the difficulties of 2009 are avoided at the convention in 2010.

Quite looking forward to the Hotel and Kumoricon. I'm just wondering what Kumoricon will do after this year sionce kumoricon is in that awkward growing spurt stage.

What is the hotel's parking garage like?  Does it tend to fill up during the con?  Is it tight and narrow?

The reason I'm asking, is because I went to see one of the Miyazaki films years ago at the International Film Festival (I think the specific film was "Nausicaa") and the parking garage attached to the theater was pretty tight and narrow.

Yeah, all Portland Garage's are pretty narrow. The one that the Hotel "controls" is pretty
standard size, but a car larger than a sedan will always have "fun" parking in Portland.
