Kumoricon 2008 Gaming Loan Thread : Post here if you plan on bringing stuff

Hello there, just starting this years thread on donation lists.

I will keep this list updated (hopefully) with an inventory of what Kumoricon actually has, and what they will have in this years game room.  I will also keep a running list of whats donated by people, in this thread.  This will also make it easier for us to get everything sorted / numbered before Kumoricon starts. And just like last year, we always need people bringing their favorite games in to make Kumoricon
Gaming as awesome as it is.

If people bring games / systems into gaming, it needs to be checked in with us.  You can request it for public use or not, but all electronic equipment and games must be accounted for.  And as an "at risk" donation, we are not liable for stolen / broken property, though we're pretty damn understanding.  We also implement a checkout system that requires a valid ID and badge, to ensure there is no stolen property.

Only loan for the weekend. It is your responsibility to pick them up before you leave the con. It's also an 'at your own risk' sort of thing. It will be handled by anyone who checks it out. The con would not replace any stolen/damaged goods.

Okay.  Well, that'll be one week before the con.
I also did just talk to Jaki, and we had been replacing stuff in the past, but this year were a little tight.  So its an "At your own risk" style donation.  BUT, we do keep IDs of people who check stuff out, so its not like we cant track the person down.

OH, NOW I REMEMBER.

Basically, are you familiar with the "You want this?" meme? (guy holds out something, says "you want this?", other guy says "um, sure", then guy 1 crushes it with this ridiculous look on his face; camera zooms on his face, then guy 2 looks at him with a hurt look in his eye, then looks away.

I'm thinking of doing a dual-frame of this.  Kumoricon attendee comes up to the checkout counter "you want this game back?"
game room staff (I'll probably use Hellsap lol): "um, sure"
<CRUSH>
etc

BUT THEN

Hellsap grabs the person's badge from where it was checked out to, asks, "you want this?"
attendee: "um, sure"

It's not a big idea to implement; just something someone could draw real quick whenever.  I think it would be a comical and effective way to warn people that they need to make sure they take care of the games they check out.

Need a spare copy of Accent Core? I don't mind putting mine in the checkouts. I could also lend some slick old gamecube titles ala Alien Hominid or Ikaruga, though if those got stolen I would break someone.
