Hi, I’m Cassie and I’m working in Publicity this year, and I get the fun of coming up with some new merchandise ideas. We’re looking at some non-year specific things that’ll bring you joy all year long. Please let us know what you're interested in (and would consider/plan to buy)!

Oh, and we will have buttons this year, via our handy dandy button maker! (and slave labor provided by volunteers)

I think that messenger bags would be best. There's a lot of people who have shown interest in the custom ones that some of my friends have.

I for one am puting off buying a new hoody in the hopes I can get a dark colored zip up hoody with a kumoricon logo on it somewhere.

I think Kumoricon umbrellas would be super cool, since the mascot is usually always carrying an umbrella. I'd buy one

Sounds like I definitly need to do more investigation into how much messenger bags would cost, then I can come back to you guys with a projected price, and see if you're still interested ^_^

I'd love to have a Kumoricon messenger bag or journal. I write a lot, so a journal would be something I'd definitely pick up, and I know Kahlan would be interested in the sketchbook and probably the messenger bag also. Those are two great ideas as far as I'm concerned. ^_^

a messenger bag would be awesome. I could put all my stuff in it that I'd need at the con and then carry it around school and have people ask about it randomly. it's already happening in my mind. :3

Oooh, this is a fun idea! I'd just like to say I love the amount of input k-con staff is looking for from it's attendees in regards to merchandise. First the hoodies, and now this! It's very awesome. ^___^

As for what I'd like to see, I voted for the umbrella (we always need them in Oregon! =D), knitted hat (I'd be hoping for something akin to a beanie), and picture frames.

Can't wait to see the stuff at k-con!!! ^__^

I forgot that I will be cutting my hair in the fall and will most likely be wearing hats more often. So, I would probably go for a knit hat (beanie-style) also.

Yep, knitted means beanie.. though I think of beanies as those hats with the little propellor -_-.

Looking into a variety of messanger bags tonight, seeing what kind of options are avaliable and how much they are.

I like most of the ideas here so far. A suggestion I'd make is to sell the glow sticks at the merch booth on Saturday before the dance, as I think they'd go over incredibly well.

Nobody else sells glowsticks at the convention? I know back in the midwest we had a dealer who just always sold cheap glowsticks at the con, so we never wanted to step on his toes with that.

But certianly, if nobody else is selling them, I'd guess that we could do something about that!

I've never really questioned where all the glowsticks come from. They just seem to appear at every con dance I've been to.

I voted baseball hat, but that's cos you don't have a category for trucker hats. Trucker hats > baseball hats

lmfao... PSSSSST you people realize we had an umbrella last year right? I own one it was black and red and had the chibi mascot on it. I would love to have an umbrella again this year... it would be cool if we could get them in the style of the one the mascot has with the handle like that but it may be a bit late for that.. but yeah msger bags would go over really well and I want pull over hoodies >.< like if we sold some zip ups and some pull overs that would be great. Zip up hoodie pockets aren't ever big enough.

GLOW STICKS PLZ!!!! You can buy them at the dollar store, divy them up into smaller bags then sell them to people in the merch hall or even while people are in line for the dance itself. They would sell really well. I've had people come up to me offering outrageous amounts for the glowsticks i was wearing at the dances in past years.

true, i do remember those but we did have functional umbrellas last year though they were a tad bit spendy... if I remember correct they were 40 dollars. It would be nice as a congoer if those were a tad bit cheaper... I feel sad shelling out that much... then again it is oregon and the umbrella was huge last year and it did get used a lot
