  As far as work goes right now it seems ya gotta fight tooth and nail to get hours.
and your avatar expresses that so perfectly. :3

yay for trying to find a job. I want one but don't want to work, but I think I'm going to apply at the safeway down a couple blocks from my house. either that or post babysitting/dog walking flyers. haven't decided.

really? I have to fight tooth and nail not to overwork myself. I don't have a single day this weekend that I don't have to work. Wednesday through Sunday, and once winter break starts it might not be as bad but I'll still be working a lot.

Good for you. I really don't need a whole lot for savings. I'm already registered all I need is money for a hotel room and food. I didn't buy too much at the dealers room but some extra money might be nice....though I think if I was going to buy anything it would be at Sakuracon, they have a much bigger dealers room ;D

My parents would probably help out a little bit. I may just ask for cash for my birthday and put it in the bank for the con ;D

I've decided I'm done spending money on cons if it doesn't go straight into the game room.  I'm taking that $150 I would spend on Sakuracon and putting it towards import PS2 games.

Hopefully, all our boxes will be sorted properly this time and I'll bring proper tools to set up the DDR so we won't need additional help; Jaki can most definitely find a place for your assistance during setup though if Gaming doesn't need it.

wish i could help ya with savig for it though but i got my own matters to put cash towards... Otome studios will take a good $300 out of my wallet, as will Ryodans...

Cobalt Fluxes can be significantly harder to deal with than one of those foam mats.  I'm figuring on spending 20 minutes securing them to the frames and then another 2 hours cleaning them and checking each panel for sensitivity, then another 30 minutes optimising sync, lag, refresh rate, and resolution.  That's just for the DDR, and that's assuming everything goes smoothly. :P

@nikki
ah man, I love black Friday. not the whole waiting but being able to push people and have it be perfectly legal. oh thats the best. I'm nice to people with kids however. unless their being psychotic about it. sadly I didn't get to go today.

Working on Black friday is terrible! I've had to work on 2 of them and i hated it!! Sooo many annoying people, some with coupons. I hate coupons!!  There never in the system! Never! and they take forever to process manually. Oh and gawd forbid you dont have an item from the adds, if you run out or don't have it they flip out on you!
Luckily this year i dodged that bullet.

I haven't started saving up yet. I'll probably start when spring gets here.
