Rules For Console Game Room : Written By DancingTOFU
Kumoricon 2008

-Conduct-

Combat and other violent interactions are forbidden off-screen.  If you physically damage a console, game, controller, or attendee, for any reason, you may be asked to leave the convention and reimburse the owner.

Sportsmanship should be observed loosely inside the game room.  You may be asked to leave the room if we observe any poor sportsmanship judged to be hurtful or disruptive to other attendees.  Please note this is for actions OUTSIDE of the games, assuming you follow all the tournament rules - have fun and play as cheaply as you want to.

All attendees are to abide by the decisions of the Yojimbo.  If you would like to dispute a request by a Yojimbo, start by following it.  Then appeal to the head Yojimbo.

If something is not working and you do not know EXACTLY how to fix it, contact a game room staff member or tech staff member.  They will fix it promptly.

-Games-

If you would like to lend a game, controller, or system to Kumoricon for the weekend, take it to the game check.  We will enter the game, controller, or system into our listing; other attendees will be able to then check out the game, controller or system in exchange for their [ID].  This is at your own risk, but Kumoricon staff do everything in their power to make sure everything is kept safe.
You may bring games for your own personal use, but make sure you check them in with our staff first or our Yojimbo won't let you leave with them.

If you would like to use a game, controller, or system, check it out at the game check.  You will need to give the staff member or volunteer at the game check your photo ID along with your badge, which we will hold onto until the game is returned.  Badges are needed to enter / exit the room, but a license/school/state ID is required to check out games.

Some more popular games will have lines formed to play them; if there is a line for a game you are playing please yeild to the next person in line as soon as you have completed a regular course of gameplay. (one life/match/round)
If you check out a game and a line forms, you are still expected to yeild the game and controller to the next person in line, although you will be responsible for the game and controller until you check the game back in.

-Gates of Mordor-

You must show a yojimbo your Kumoricon badge and lanyard in order to enter OR EXIT the game room.  If your badge is incinerated, vaporised, supercompressed, ingested, dimensionally modified, pulverised, lost, or stolen inside the game room, notify a staff member IMMEDIATELY.

The bag check is outside the game room in the hallway to the right.
ALL bags must be checked into the bag check area.
When you check a bag, you will be given a number and a physical object with that number written on it when you check in your bag.  IF YOU LOSE IT, YOU LOSE YOUR BAG.
If you have games, controllers, or systems inside your bag for use in the game room, take them inside the game room and check them in before doing anything else in the game room.

-Food and Drink-

We request that food and drink are consumed in your hotel room or other lodging.

If a prize or any product you recieve from a staff member or industry rep happens to be a non-toxic liquid, you are welcome to drink it within the game room.

We are not in any way liable for what you eat unless it is given to you for the purpose of consumtion by a staff member.

If you absolutely must consume some food or drink in the game room:
   1. Throw away your trash.
   2. Eat or drink it promptly.
   3. Do not place food near, on, or above any console, game, or controller.
   4. Do not place any drink without an attached screw-on lid within a 3-foot radius of any system, game, or controller unless it is on a lower surface.
   5. If it fits, you may place opened drinks within the cupholders on the DDR machine(s).

I want to point out real quick that "[ID]" was used above as a placeholder term; I wasn't sure if we were taking photo ID only or if we were taking badges.  As you can observe later in the document, you must have a photo ID of some kind (state ID, license, school ID) if you wish to check out anything from the game room.

Hopefully Hellsap will edit that part accordingly, but we threw this together around 1am the other day so we were both a little braindead. :P

I have a question, since I'll be entering the Pokemon console tournament. What do I have to do for me to check out as ok to enter?
PSN: MiyamotoKaizen
Steam: DarkUltima (Miyamoto Kaizen should be what you see)
Costume Progress:
Zengar Zombolt (SRWOG) - 100%
