So I picked up a room for kcon a while back. Its a 2 bed up to 4 people room at the doubletree.
Unfortunately all the people I was going to go with have left me high and dry

I normally dont like to open up my room to people I dont really know, but the room would feel
pretty empty otherwise. So if you need a room and dont mind sharing, post here.

The Doubletree
Check in is Sat August 30th (they probably wont let us check in till 1 or 2, to give the maids time to clean up the rooms.)
Checkout is Mon September 1st (they probably want us out by noon, I live in portland so I can load our excess in my car till everyones ready to go)

you might be suprised last time i was there, I was able to check in in the morning,

Depends on the age and maturity level of your friends. Are they members of this board?

the age of one of them is almost 18 but she has the maturity of a 25 year old and the other one will be 21 and has the maturity of a 21 year old

one of them is a member of the board and she is the one that will be 21 by con......

so there is only two of them? Thats fine with me. Where are these two from? It would probably be prudent for all of us (including you, as the go between) to meet up before the con to make sure we dont absolutely hate each other.

the one that is almost 18 will not be with us so we don't have to worry about her....

and as for the hating of each other that will not be a problem since we might not be all together at the same time..

lol, ok I just like to know whos going in and out of my room.
I looked up the profile of the 21 year old you mentioned, she lives way out in northern washington so it looks like theres no chance of a precon meeting. I assume the 18 year old and yourself are from the same area.

I might try to find one more person just to maximize the room, will they be alright with that?
Lastly when it gets closer to con time remind me to give everyone my phone number so we can meetup and get/give keys out at the hotel.

This is my 3rd time at Kumoricon. I usually go with my friend, but they were unable to come this year. I'll be driving up from the Eugene area. I'm rather shy around people I don't know and kind of quite, but I'm friendly enough. I'm basically looking for a corner to toss my stuff in and a bed to crash in at night. Thought making new friends is always a bonus. :-) I'm over 25 and oh, I'm female... That going to be a problem?

Anyway a chance to meet before the con would be great by me if we can work something out.

a corner and a bed I can supply. Your age doesnt really matter to me. Keep in mind however the room is already accounting for 3 people. Which means you've got to either sleep next to me, or in the bed with the other two girls. Im a guy btw.
Chances are we wont get to meet the other two people who will be rooming with us as one of them is from seattle and I have no way to contact the other except through harukenshin and he didnt mention where she is from. I myself am in Portland so Im cool with meeting up at a forum meetup or whatever else, Im easy. So in short..

You've got to sleep next to me or with two others who wont know you
You have to be willing to share the room with two others who I dont know either
And you absolutely MUST shower at least in the evenings if you are bedding with me. I wont have geek stink in my bed.
That being said I am happy to offer you the last slot in the room.

Sharing a bed with you is fine and I totally agree on the shower thing. I understand not meeting the others because of the distance, but would still be interested in meeting you if something can be worked out.

Ive got a car so I can get just about anywhere, however gas these days makes doing so kind of a bitch.
Id say if your going to be in the portland area lets plan something out ahead of time

so as for know us i and 22 years old male and the other one that i am going to be with is a 21 year old female....

Im sorry... arent you staying with someone else? Im only expecting an 18 and a 21 year old from your party. I wasnt aware Im opening up my shower to someone not staying in the room.

Tohmasegchi is the 21 year old and i am the 22 year old and there is not 18 year old and you have to worry about...
