I've mastered Majin Vegeta's Final Explosion, and I am dang proud of it! =)

I mean, its not like its hard or anything, it just took me more tries than I had liked to master it. It took six tries. SIX FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, ARGH!!!

This is what happens when I lack sleep. =)

Recently I've been getting back into Super Smash Bros. Melee... Mmm... farcey goodness.

Y'know, Peach is pretty dang good. 8O I'm not sure if she's as good as Marth, but I'm thinking she might be better than Link. Very versatile and rounded.

And I love how she's so borderline psychotic in that game. "Ohhhh, did I wiiiiin~?"

Peach is a Demon.  that's why I like to play her sometimes

In the meantime, up for some SC2? ;) I've been playing a LOT recently, albeit alone. I did go back to the Uni today and bump my Survival ranking back up to 4th place, though. I have 16 wins with Talim on it now.

Today I also tried out Arcade mode on SC2 at home with the difficulty set to Extremely Hard... It's true: it bears absolutely no resemblance to playing against real people. On level 3 I had a chain of about 10 traded guard impacts in a row with the computer. No real person fights like that. It was so predictable, despite being hard. At times it was easier because it was so predictable.

Anyway, wanna set up a time to SC2, now that the election is over? (that and a few other things were taking up my time)

W007 i got it finally got DragonballZ: Budokai 3 now and its awsome way better than the first or second one. I like the fact that you can dodge attacks right before they happen, and the whole thing about teleporting infront an behind the opponents while launching them through the air.^^

SO MUCH FUN~

Peace~

Dman you better be good   I'm gonna beat the game soon! \

I can't believe I forgot about this topic.

Just wanna say this. Talk is cheap.

Anyone can say they're good at something. But, to be actually good at it is another thing.

Hence why I try not yo boast about stuff too much. :D

Regarding Budokai 3, it was fun, a bit easy though.

I like the new dodging techniques though.

I was suprised at Sakuracon when Dmann was seating right next to me and I didn't even know it.  Man you're a demon with Ness.

Hey, how'd you guys fare at the Soul Calibur 2 tournament at Sakura Con?

I got as far as round 3. Amazingly, I managed to defeat the 2nd best player in North America to get there. O_o I'm not sure whether I should brag, though, because it seems like he wasn't trying very hard, or something.

Dman didn't make it past round 2, but it was quite obviously due in part to his unfamiliarity with the XBox controller.  I may play mainly Gamecube, like him, but I've had at least some experience with the typical button layout of XBox and PS2, so no excuses there. (besides, I was on Gamecube for round 3, and the other guy beat me on my "home turf," so to speak)

Yeah, at Sakuracon a few days ago I got pwned in the first round cus they threw me on the Xbox.   I've only used Gamecube.  I was Kilik and I went up against a Mitsurugi.  It was quite embarassing what happened next.

Well, don't worry about it; you're not the first or the last to have that problem... ;)

Soul Calibur 3 is currently only planned for PS2. Despite loving my Gamecube edition of SC2, after all this chaos it'll be nice to be able to rely on a single controller for tournaments...

In fact, perhaps this time I should try buying an arcade stick?... I like using my thumbs and having a D-pad, but at least with an arcade stick, you can count on being able to press any button at any time. :P

the 2nd best player of SC2 in the nation was definitely not at sak-con...
I think hes from like... tennessee

Anyway, I also didnt like how most all of the tournaments were held... very sub-par... no standard set of defined rules or anything, just anything-goes style of playing...
Maybe it looked better for the audience but definitely not for the people playing the games.

Oh?... Well, he had several people backing him up on that. It'd seem odd to mishear it. Perhaps I should create a topic on the Sakura Con forums to find out.

As for the tournaments: well, I wasn't there for anything but the SC2 tournament, but I know what you're talking about with regards to that at least. The person running the tournament had never played the game before. He was filling in for a no-show of some sort.

However, in a room full of experienced SC2 players, it seems ridiculous that none of them were recruited to run it. If it looks like this is going to happen at a future Sakura Con, and I know at least a week beforehand, I might just step up and volunteer to run it. After all, I'm not quite good enough to contend for a win, anyway, but I know how official tournaments are run for the most part, and there are probably enough Kumori Con people on the console gaming staff to vouch for me.

By the way... what are your feelings on Lizardman? I know that normally, only the arcade-playable SC2 characters are allowed, plus Sophitia and Seung Mina. However, I made the suggestion at the tournament of allowing "only characters playable in the arcade version, or from the original Soul Calibur." This technically includes Lizardman, even though I believe he is usually not tournament-legal.

Should he be included? The biggest difference is that unlike Sophitia and Seung Mina, Lizardman is not playable in the Japanese home console edition. This does actually matter to me, because I own the import, but not the domestic version. So, I haven't had any practice against Lizardman since SC1.

It'd be nice if non-tournament-legal characters were labelled right in the game from the get-go...that'd resolve a lot of arguments.
