This could be so cool.  VII was my favorite, and Vincent rocks.

Yargh, it isn't a sequel.  It's a direct release-to-DVD movie.  And it's gonna frikkin' RAWK!  Have you seen Cid?!  *dies* http://media.adventchildren.net/scans/dps0730-003_1.jpg He's sooo spiffy!!!

It's called "Advent Children."  Unless you're talkin' about the cell-phone game with the Turks and all . . . that's . . . oh, what's it called . . . Before Crisis.  AC and BC, get it?  Very clever of them, i think!

No, this one appears to be an actual game, as said:

"The game will take place one year after Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, the CG movie that recently premiered at the Venice Film Festival and is slated for release next year on DVD and the PlayStation Portable's UMD format."

I've heard tell of it. You play as Vincent. Meh, not too appealing in my mind.

A new game featuring FFVII's Vincent has been announced by Square Enix.

TOKYO--According to the upcoming issue of Weekly Jump magazine, Square Enix is developing a Final Fantasy VII spin-off that will feature ex-Turks gunman Vincent as the main character. The game, which was first hinted at in April, will be titled Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII.

The only information currently available on the game is that its story involves a mysterious group called the DGs attacking peaceful towns in the world. The game will take place one year after Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, the CG movie that recently premiered at the Venice Film Festival and is slated for release next year on DVD and the PlayStation Portable's UMD format.

While Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII is slated for release on the PlayStation 2 in 2005, Square Enix lists the game's genre as "undetermined," which suggests that the game is still in the early stages of development. GameSpot will bring you more information on Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII as it becomes available.

Gah, didn't read the article 'cuz I assumed it dealt with AC and BC.  How many FFVII sequel/prequel related things do they NEED?  Damn . ..

But playing as Vincent is tempting . . .

Ok from a Purely Sarcastic Pont of View, They will make however many FFVII Games/Movies that everyone will pay to see.
Personly I am both intrested and fightend of sequles to FF games. One of the major intrests in FF is the fact that there is never any repeating between games. And the Few In Jokes (Biggs, Wedge, Cid) are Simular but diffrent at every game. but over all I will reserve my option on sequles till after I see the most recent batch (All based on FFVII) Ohh and get a chance to play FFX-2.

Now FFXI has expantion packs and that realy seems to work.

Sweet, I was hoping to get a sequel to one of the good ones.
FF6 and 7 are my favorites, though 8 will always have a special place because of my S/O.

The funny thing is that they specifically said "we are not going to make another game for the story".

If you guys don't have the E3 English trailer I suggest you get it, it rocks.
If only for the fully rendered Sephiroth in Flames.

Oh, how I LOATHE dubs . . . I'd be horrified were they to do such a terrible thing to such a beautious piece of work . ..

Wouldn't it be great if they made a fun game where you could be Braska, Auron and Jecht?  Holy crap I would just DIE.  How FUN!

Dubs can be done well. The Evangelion dub was pretty good -- better than quite a few, anyway. Guh. The Cowboy Bebop and Big O dubs were good, too.

I'd LOVE to be somebody in the Final Fantasy: AC movie dub, if they had one. Does Marlene have any speaking lines?
