Why.
« on: March 29, 2008, 07:51:25 pm »
Why do people keep coming to Kumori-con year after year? I mean its my only convention I go too. But I just want to know why other people go. I go mostly to be around anime fans that don't think anything on nick is anime.

Because it's in the neighborhood, and I know a lot of people who go, which makes it more fun ~!

Because it's an excuse to dress up and have fun with a bunch of other people with similar hobbies.

I go because it's close, has a friendly atmosphere, and I met a lot of great friends at Kumoricon and on the forums.

My family and I went for the first time last year. I am now hooked and will go every year. I have never seen so many people in one place who were just themselves no matter how odd or wierd it may have looked to others. I will now go to Kumori-con every year and try to make it to S-con every year. The cons are our new family vacations. I do not like being in large crowds of people, but I dont get that feeling at cons because everyone there has something in common with me. They Love Anime. Also its the most fun I've had in a long time.

Friends. Whether just hanging out with ones I already have or meeting new ones..that is pretty much what cons are about to me.

It's nearby,
I have easy access to so much merchandise,
I can get free hugs and give them without being dubbed a freak or led out by security =w=
I can meet new friends who share my interests really easily
It's just plain fun =D

Hmmm... good question.
Kumoricon was my first anime convention ever so it's special to me. It's close, only an hour away, and theres a while bunch of people I never see except for there! Kumoricon people are just crazy too, lol. It's my home convention so I like going every year. If you don't, then your out of the Kcon loop.
