Halloween Party?
« on: September 12, 2004, 03:46:39 pm »
I want to throw a Halloween Party (partially to make up for me not having the after-con party that I'd talked about on here), and was wondering if anyone would be up for it.

I live in Tualatin (and can PM anyone directions if need be), and have a nice living room setup for movies, and a nifty kitchen with island for snacks...

Not sure what ill be doing in October (besides my birthday the 23rd), so, if I can make it, I will be sure to let ya know.

OK, I'm going to have to change the date. Something came up on Halloween itself that I have to attend, but I can have the party another date no problem (although I'm leaning towards the first, simply because something related may come up on the 30st).

So how's the first sound for everyone?

Just so you know, for those of you further south in Oregon, I'm considering having a Halloween cosplay party too. It will be in either Springfield or Eugene.

It shouldn't be on the 1st, regardless, so no worries about conflicts.

Perhapes we could hold a Halloween party of the 28th, if Tunac is meeting on that day.

Not sure if its my place to throw that out there, but I would be coming from Florence, and thats about 120 miles round trip. My truck is a gas hog, so, if I can, I would like to save some money.

Sorry for sounding so selfish.

Of course, this is based on the assumption that we will be having Tunac meetings, I havn't heard any news on the Tunac forums regarding the meeting on the 30th yet.

Well, um... Dustin, I'm sorry to be selfish myself, but I have classes on Thursday nights almost every week, so my TUNAC and convention involvement will be very limited for the remainder of the term, and the party likewise can't really be on a Thursday. :( I would like to accomodate you, but you know... wanting to attend my own party, and all....

OK yeah, this party will have to be either on the first of November or during the week of the 24th of October. Which is best for everyone?

hmm.. I remember when I was a kid and lived in Michigan, different towns celebrated Holloween on different days. It seems kind of odd, but it sure made trick-or-treating a blast! lol I remember hitting up our town on Holloween, then going to.. I think Hershey on the first. It seems there was another town that celebrated on the 2nd or the 30th.. can't remember, I was way little. Kind off topic I know, but interesting and maybe a bit of comfort for those that wanted a party ON Holloween...

Isn't the 1st a Monday night?  Seems to me that if the 30th & 31st are out, Friday the 29th would be your best choice.

Unfortunately, I may not be able to attend.  I'm transit bound, school bound, and I live in Troutdale.   (No car), so unless I could get a ride to your party on whatever day it's going to be held....it's a no go for me....

I'm afraid I am out, too, now.

My best friend was gonna fly in for my birthday the 23rd, but he cannot make it until the 29th, so I will be busy all Halloween weekend.

Sorry.
