Right.....its Genesis is only modeled after gackt, the visual inspreatiojn for Genesis..
and gackt only does the the voice of Genesis on the japanese version of the game

So, has anyone else been playing this? I am still playing (granted it is New Game+), and I just can't get enough of it. It has to be the first action/rpg that I have been addicted to, to this degree. Still giving it many thumbs up.

Aside from my original irritation regarding the battle system, I did buy it and I do think this it is a good game.  I do however still stand by my all FF games should use or have the option to use the old archaic turn based battle system.  The NPC's and graphics I believe are well done and the story line so far is really good.  I was glad to see that you can skip passed the summon videos cause during a fight they get old after the 3rd cast.  More to come on my review as I play it more.

I beat it in three days the first time I played, and it took me thirty seconds to beat Genesis into a little smear at the very end. T_T And I was only level 47, too... Now imagine how bad it's gonna be when I go to smack him and he's already dead when I finish it this time! *Hwack with the flat side of the Buster Blade* Oh, dangit... Battle's over!

Now I've been playing for several weeks and trying to do every mission I can. I'm stuck on EM Hell in the Plains. The mole-ostriches keep killing me.

@RoamingGnome: OMG if I was a guy I would be beach Zack in a heartbeat! I never wanted to stop playing that part of the game because I kept trying to figure out where the hell it was that Zack was equipping his Materia in that freaking umbrella. Seriously! Umbrellas don't have Materia slots! That's... Wait, Aerith's joke weapon was an umbrella... But no, that had no slots... WHERE WAS HE EQUIPPING THEM?

And no, I wasn't dreading finishing that because then it would mean no more shirtless Zack. Nope. Not me. Nuh-uh. No way. Why would you ask?

haha, this is why I fear someone cosplaying as Costa del Sol Zack. There would be a mob of hysterical fangirls wherever he went. "Shirtless Zack!?! How can we refuse?" lol

It'd be chaos.

But an update to my gaming progress, I just completed the DMW grid and got Genji Armor (which is super awesome).

though a costa del sol zack would be awesome to see cosplayed, i'd agree with you about the scary fangirl mob >.< there are already enough of those randomly running around for other characters >.>

Lucky fish-turd. I can't find the freaking Pot-thing. I found it once, but I didn't have the right Materia so I hit it until it went away.

In other news, though, my HP is now maxed out at 9999 as its limit. Wish to know why? I fiddled around with Materia Fusion a while back and now my Steal Materia is +80% HP.

did you mean 99,999 hp? cause 9,999 isn't all that much >.> lol

i helped eve-boyfriend get the magic pot, it's pretty easy if you have the right materia equipped.

if you do the last tonberry mission, equip fira, jump, assault twister, and gravity. maybe equip fire too, just incase, because if you do fire when it says fira, it gets mad and vanishes, dunno if it does it the other way around too... anyway, just cast/do what it says and then you'll get the magic pot dmw! i've found they show up most at the chamber right before the master tonberry. good luck!!

Yeah, just wait until you can get the item that sets the HP Limit to 99,999, it makes things killer. Huzzah for having an unbelievable HP max, lol.

I found the Magic Pot... Finally. I had to constantly abort the Tonberry mission until it decided to show up. I've even gotten it to come up on the DMW before, too... But I only got a frikkin' Iron Bangle. Good news is, though, I only have Bahamut Fury and Phoenix to go until I get the Genji Armor!

99,999 HP, you say? That would be fun. I would be able to take on Minerva and beat the carp out of her! And steal all her Phoenix Downs, of course.

heh, I've heard Minerva is a beast, absolutely horrible to fight. I'm not to the point of being able to fight her yet, heh, haven't even unlocked the mission yet, but I'm close.

And you know you have to get 100% on all the DMW's to get the Genji Armor, right? Not just unlocking them. Just making sure. Getting the percentage is what takes time, because the scenes that complete each DMW are very random and sometimes hard to find.

As far as I'm concerned, I believe Crisis Core is THE reason to buy a PSP. I didn't want one until Crisis Core came out; I am pretty sure this is the console-defining game for the PSP.

Crisis core was the only reason I was going to by a PSP but if I can barrow it off a friend and not have to spend $300 to buy the PSP and the game then I will do that. Save money for more important things, like cosplay : D

haha, good luck with that. I got to Minerva, and she has been kicking the livin' esss out of me. So, I am rethinking my strategy. I'm stocking up on SP so I can do lots of materia fusion. I've got quite a few high-stat materias made, but I have more I need to do. Gotta get my stats above and beyond!

For some reason, Final Fantasy doesn't appeal to me like it used to.  Except for the Crystal Chronicles(the GC and WiiWare), the series hasn't been able to draw me in as it use to.  I'll play for a while, a good while in(maybe 20-30), but then I just lose all interest in it.

I don't know if my tastes have changed, its often repeated theme of saving the spirtual earth/crystals or what not has burn me out or what.  Final Fantasy 7 was what made me get a PSone, but crisis core and FFXIII seem to have a reading of zero on my radar and being a expensive systems as the PSP and PS3 just puts them in the negative.

To make sure I"m clear, I"m not bashing the recent games or calling them bad, its just they no longer appeal to me and I'm not really sure why.

@ EveofAbyss: She's got Phoenix Downs on her person. Like, 99 of them. Every time she uses the attack that absolutely P'WNS you and makes you resurrect... Steal one and use it. Then just keep wailing on her.

... Isn't there an item that does automatic Raise status, too? Wait, no... Nevermind. That'd be nice, though.

Yeah, I know she has Phoenix Downs on her, but when I try stealing them, it says I am not able to steal. So I must just not have stats high enough yet.

Yeah, I played a bit yesterday and was able to steal, so I guess it was just low stats or something. Now I justh ave to figure out how to survive the Judgment Arrow attack. Huzzah for an attack that does maximum damage and nullifies raise status! lol T_T

You got all that way in one day? Kewl.

I only have 47% Mission completion... Which is more than I can say for the last time I played all the way through. 27%? Puh-lease. I've got so much random cool **** from doing really advanced missions that it's not even funny.

Yeah, the advanced missions are awesome in the way of awesome stuff you can get rather simply. Dualcast, Ribbons, Super Ribbons, Zeidrich, Genji stuff, too many awesome items.

I finished it again... At least I didn't cry this time. AND I saved two separate files so I can go back and become more PWNsome and get all sorts of random stuff so as to beat genesis even faster than I did this time.

haha, yeah, I was trying to figure out how I could stay at the near end of the game with all my progress so as to continue to whittle away at Minerva yet also to have something more to actually do. Then, it took me a while but I finally decided to just finish the game and save to a different block, so I can work on either one. I just got so tired of trying to fight Minerva and dying, so I started over so I can just have more to do while I try to level up for Minerva. She takes so much......everything! lol It is pretty frustrating, but I am at level ninety-something and still am not maxed out enough to beat her. *sigh* She's too tough, lol. But yeah, I love how much there is to do in the game, the replay value is indescribable ,heh.
