Sniff sniff hic hic..... t ( T - T t ) So umm....Is there any possible way that we unfortunate losers can see it after the con?? Does anyone know where we can access it? or is it only for extremely cool people who were able to see it at the con?

Yes, I would like to see the rest of them, too.

Yes, perhaps someone or the people who created them and are here could bring them up somewhere and let us know.  I saw most of them, but missed most of the ones people talked about the most.
"You drive like a baboon in heat!"
"It is down to you and me mister fly."
"Oh I am sorry, did I break your concentration?"
"You no mess with Lo Wang."

Note from your friendly neighborhood, err,  (OK, friendly next-county-over) AMV coordinator: ... now that it's over I can tell you, the pre-screening panel ALMOST torpedoed this one because the theme was so OVERDONE. They also almost killed the Soujiro (R. Kenshin) one made to 'Bring Me to 305 other AMV's Done to This Song," for the same reason.

Entrants were supposed to include a printed Entry Sheet with all that info spelled out. Otherwise I have to guess, and honestly since (a) the entrant didn't do so, and (b) there are more computer games out there than I buy or play, so personally I couldn't tell ya whether it ought ot be 'Chrono'-this, or 'Chrno'-that without help. FWIW, my favorite computer games are 'Emprire 5.5, ' (yes I *still* play it in Linux!) 'Tracon,' and 'Fighting Steel.'

Do you guys mean the show or the contest (or both?)

Does anyone want to host an AMV party, or maybe a bunch of folks could pitch in and we can rent a hall for an evening, and I could show up to 3 hours of assorted stuff...

I have around 20Gb of AMVs in my personal collection. However, the con took about 26G on my HD (with all the assorted files to run the contest plus two shows) and It felt Sssoooo good to get home and press 'Delete' and reclaim all that space (for more AMV projects, of course!) I saved my two favorite AMV contest entries ito my "to burn to DVD" folder.

Hey everybody...

I'm the guy that made the Chrno Crusade AMV in question...

I have not yet uploaded it... I'm very new to AMVs (this is the first one I've EVER made).

I had never even heard of animemusicvideos.org untill just about a week ago...

I plan to upload it soon, maybe tomarrow, and will post a link to it here when I do...

How many of you saw it at the con? What did you think? Since this was my first try at an AMV I'd love some feedback...

Also, I understand that the song I used is WAY overdone in these things, but I couldn't help it. I thought it fit well with the anime, since "time" is a central theme to both the song and the anime...

www.animemusicvideos.org has provisions for viewers to record comments and score various individual attributes such as audio, video, effects, etc. Maybe it's better for people to comment on your work by leaving opp's at amv.org.

One of the pre-screen judges said just about that same thing: because 300+ other AMVs already used this song, people might tune out early and miss how in THIS case, the anime story and the lyrics actually fit well.

www.animemusicvideos.org also has some editing guides, including hints on how to remove or mask over subtitles.

Meanwhile, I am trying to get hints out for next year which might help creators avoid the dreaded Trigun-Bebop-OhMyGoddess-Evangelion-LoveHina-Naruto-DBZ-Hellsing-Kenshin-FinalFantasy
overused-ness bludgeon of DEATH.

Still OK for comedy, because comedy can lampoon these scenes we've all seen, while adding at least SOME kind of fresh new twist which can get a laugh out of the audience. But a Drama/Romance entry of "Tamahome!" "Miyaka!" "Tamahome!" "Miyaka!" "Tamahome!" "Miyaka!" (repeat 9 more times per minute, add sakura petals to video, and select a twangy, half-country love song.) Please. Save us the trouble.

So for categories outside of Comedy and Traditional Japanese, (where people might put Kenshin to a GOOD use,) I am wondering about a 21st Century cutoff. (1st ep is to have come out no earlier than 1-Jan-01.) That would still leave Naruto, and possibly FF, but it's still a good screen-out of overused-ness.
