I'd like to know as well. ^^ Espicially since I got an email some months ago that I accidently put I was a one year old. e_e;; (Instead of 1989 I put that I was born in 2007, how'd I make that mistake??? X_X; ) So I'm anxious to know that it was fixed. ^^;;

I recieved word today from the man-in-charge... here's what he told me:

"Sorry for the delay. We are going to be putting them all in the mail following the weekend after next."

According to what he said, I'm thinking they will be sent out by April 26th... or something to that effect. That means we should all start getting our badges around the 1st or so, depending on where everyone lives. This is great news!!!!

I'm thinking its just gonna be Tier 1 that will be getting their badges first (Don't quote me on that because he didn't give specifics.) But those who registered in Tier 2 should recieve them after the first round is complete. So hopefully we don't have to wait much longer! :-)

okay this is why I waited to check with the con chair before posting to make sure it was okay and to avoid spreading mis-information
here is the reason for the delay of tier 1 badges

for the badges to get sent we need to have an envelope stuffing, we have been trying to set one up but finding space to hold the event and day and time havent been going well since other events have taken precedence, such as sakura con, sakura festival, and the staff retreat that is occuring next weekend and just dealing with everyones differnt schedules.

So please bear with us as we figure it all out and set up a stuffing, and I will update as I am able to.
And know this, if you show up for the stuffing, once aranged, you should be able to get your badge imediatly as long as you fall with in the tier.
Feel free to PM me with any question I will do my best to get the right answers

Tier One is IN THE MAIL!!!

Tier Two should be in the mail by next week!

The early Tier Three badges will be following Tier Two soon.

If you were Tier One and do not get your badge by the beginning of next week, let us know and we can make sure your badge was mailed.

Why are you sending out badges in the mail? Every convention I’ve been to or heard about that sent out pre reg badges in the mail turned into a big disaster for registration. Just the time and manpower requirements before the convention for a start, not to mention the problems on the day with everyone who lost, forgot, never got, damaged etc their badge.
It's not like it saves any time either because anyone with a mailed out badge still has to line up anyway to 'check in' and collect any program book and/or show bag.

@Himeno - That's why they have the option of picking either to have it mailed to them, or picking it up at the con. I honestly prefer to have mine on hand, and so do other people. In the last three years I've attended, they've always sent it out via mail, or able to pick it up at the con.

Can't wait to get my own badge, and see what the number is. I honestly hope it's 17, that's my favorite number. XD

it does save quite a bit of time our lines moved really quickly this last year, and we sent out our badges last year and it wasnt a problem

did the badges sent out include the people who registerd at con?

(Ariadne is a ball-jointed doll I ordered on the first of March - thanks to the Chinese New Year backup, the place I ordered from didn't get her until just now, and then they have to paint her face and pack everything else I ordered with her. Couple more weeks, and hopefully Customs won't do anything stupid and hold it up. [She's coming from China])
tl;dr: May will be the best month ever.

At con badges would have been counted in the Tier One group, so yes, they should also be arriving. Tier 2 will go out hopefully by the beginning of next week.

Okay, I know this really doesn't matter in the least, but I am curious what (if anything) numbers reflect? At first I was under the impression that they reflected registration "order", if you will, the earlier you registered the lower the number was, and so on. But it looks like it may be something else. So, I am just a curious guy posting a curious question. ^_^ That is all.

Yeah, then you can easily see who is alone when they aren't supposed to be, and who can go into adult panels without asking to see if it's right. : P
