DS/PSP wireless play ATTN: MHF2 Players
« on: January 26, 2008, 11:08:06 pm »
DS: be social!  post your friend code!

PSP: got one?  what games?

I'm posting from my psp right now.  I've got final fantasy tactics and lemmings, and I'll probably get Monster Hunter Freedom 2 as soon as I get a job.

REGARDING THE ATTN:
A friend and I are working on organizing as many Monster Hunter Freedom 2 players to start meeting at Ground Kontrol and Backspace (two fine establishments who sponsored Kumoricon this last year and are conveniently located right next to each other) as we can, and I thought I'd post a notice here.  People of all levels are welcome, including fresh beginners and people looking to try the game for the first time. (copies can be lent out, just make sure you have your own PSP and don't steal)

People should try to be there between 12 and 7 (these are the hours when Ground Kontrol is open to minors [under 21]), especially between 2 and 4.  If you're having trouble finding us, look for Tofu (me) or Zeppy (my friend).  You shouldn't have too much trouble finding us if we're there, 'cause I'll usually be either playing MHF2, Joust, or DDR, and zeppy usually plays MHF2, KOF '98, and occasionally ventures onto the DDR machine.  Most of the times, it will be on Saturdays, but sometimes, especially during the summer, we may do weekdays, mostly tuesdays and fridays.

If you're planning on going, let me know.  DDR players are also welcome, because we spend a lot of time playing that too.

Upcoming dates that I'll be there:
Wednesday, March 26
Saturday, April 7

For the strangest reason I used to get a wireless connection for my DS before winter break over here.  Then after winter break I tried to connect and it wouldn't let me.

I have Pokemon, Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, and Mario Kart.  (Codes will come later)

I think I was going to post a reply to this the night before last, but then my PSP died and I didn't feel like walking over to a computer.  Anyway, I'll play you some FFT next general meeting.

Ooops! My AC code was wrong! (I originally played it on my little brother's DS because I couldn't find mine -- when you put it in a different DS it gives you a different friend code! Argh!)

Animal Crossing
Friend Code: 4639-4064-7901
Name: Reppy
City: Paradize

I added you, boogiepop! ^_^

Also, here's my code for Zelda..

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Friend Code: 0430-6758-1837

If any of you add me, please let me know! Better yet, msg me on AIM (reppysaq) or MSN (repp0r@hotmail.com)! It'd be a lot easier to set up a battle instead of checking this thread. :P

Got both DS and PSP.

Got Monster Hunter 1 & 2, Metal Gear Portable Ops, among others for PSP, as well as emulators.  PSP modding ftw.

DS, I got Mario Kart, Pokemon Diamond, Metroid, Advance Wars: Days of Ruin, Picross, Animal Crossing and others, but I can't remember.

I'll eventually post up my friend codes, but I'm lazy and don't want to get them right now.

Honestly, I still think the best Wireless PSP game is Burnout Legends. The game came out awhile ago, but its still awesome.

The only game I really have for wireless on DS is Tetris DS, and I hardly play it online anymore.

reppy, if you have $40 to drop or a modded PSP, try out Monster Hunter Freedom 2.  It's really fun if you can get into it.  I've put 110 hours on it in 3 weeks. :D (it takes a long time to get into the game, but the multiplayer mode and high rank missions are worth the effort.)

If you aren't a real serious gamer, it might not appeal to you.  It's definitely a tough game, but it's fun if you enjoy the challenge.
