This Friday Evening - STARGATE (minor friendly) DRINKING GAME
« on: December 20, 2007, 08:52:25 am »
Rian and I have been watching a lot of Stargate SG1, and we've made a game. It's not so much a drinking game as a point system where you build allies and enemies with some simple rules. The "shots" can be anything, Pepsi, Lemonade, Pickle Juice, whatever.

If anyone is interested in playing (Daniel's dead, take a shot!) just let us know to expect you! PM me for the address. I can also pre-post the rules, if you like. :)

btw- Those of you who have not seen my new place it's A LOT bigger than my place downtown, with plenty of parking.

Looking forward to hanging with all of you!
Meg

You can play even if you've never seen the show. I'm going to hang pictures of the characters and their rules, so that you won't have to keep the names straight at first, or memorize the rules.

We'll have food as well, and we live right off a MAX stop. I expect the game to go long into the night, so you can come early and leave, or come late and stay overnight.

I forgot to mention, there will be prizes after each round!

Me too... I'm posting this from work right now.  I have all of SG1 on DVD though.  Maybe one of the days I have off...

The game was a success! We had a lot of fun, so tonight is ROUND 2!

Remember, this is mostly a point game, so anyone can play. Some of us played the whole game with shots of Mt. Dew, and it was still fun. Everyone went home with prizes, which I will replenish tonight.

If you can make it, let me know. We're starting at 5 PM.

HUGE Thanks to Morgan/Gemineye for the awesome character images and game cards! You went all out, and it really made the game fun for everyone. Maybe you can make it to another round. :D

Sadly, work again tonight... I'm killing dead time working on little things and the forums... but I could potentially be called to fix something at any moment.  Which is why they pay me to sit here.

I'll consider it for Sunday night if you're doing that.  I'll even bring over Stargate SG1 (That is, everything but the movie), or Invader Zim DVDs if you could use those for a drinking game.  (Heck, even if you can't, it might be a good thing to break up rounds.)

If tonight (Wed the 26th) is a good night, I get off work at 8pm.  I could pop by home, grab Stargate SG1's dvd collection and/or the Invader Zim dvd collection, maybe grab dinner for my self, and breadsticks for any who haven't tried Round Table's garlic parmigiana twists yet...

Tonight is unfortunately not a good night as our living room and dining room are disasters due to some rearranging of our second bedroom we did yesterday.

I understand completely.  Yesterday EVERYTHING in my bedroom was crammed in to 1/3rd of the floorspace.  Nothing usable, and I could barely get in to the room at all, and only in to the laundry room if I shifted stuff about.  All that to finish cleaning the chunk of the floor my bed covers.  (It covers like 55-60% of my room, it's just not worth cleaning it any other way.)
