2007 Lost & Found List

  Hi everyone

      Sorry for the delay in this but I'll be posting a 2007 Found list to the forums soon.  I got the boxes and files a couple weeks ago and have been trying to cateloge and photograph everything for a website to help every people find their stuff.  I'm not quite so good with website setup so it has been taking longer than I expected.  To try and speed things up I'm posting the L&F quick to try and speed it up a bit. 

      So here is how it works, if something on the list below sounds familiar then PM me about it.  I'll ask you for a bit of info on the object to be sure items get back to their rightful owner.  Then we can arrange to have it sent to you or for it to be picked up.
      There are some additional items not on the list because they had ID cards, credit cards, or something else with a name on it.  If you lost something of that like, PM me with your name and I'll tell you if we have it and any associated items.  Otherwise these things should be mailed to the owner based upon their Registration address.

Bump because that's what we apparently do around here now.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to not tell people what we have so they wouldn't be able to falsely claim that they "lost" it?

Indeed that is usually the case with lost and founds... (Though if you've ever used one you know how easily they could be abused... I must admit I was FAR more careful with my stuff after observing the blatant security holes in the recovery procedure.)

What would be helpful however is building a database of what items there are, and filing them for more easy recovery/searching by the individual(s) responsible for searching the lost and found.

Additionally, noting the total number of items, tracking who recovers a given item (and when), as well as explaining when such items become the property of (Kumoricon/the public) and what happens then would help.

You might want to at least leave off details like the exact model numbers for the cells and cameras.  Also, you can likely look up phone numbers in the cells and find out whose phone it was.

First, as to the bumps.  I am on the Board of Directors but have no more power to control my posts on here then anyone else.  I asked about that a couple months ago but nothing was done, so now the only way I have of keeping this noticed day to day is to bump it.

Second, If you notice the list isn't a perfect description, I retained safety questions on every item to help assure that the proper owner gets their items.

Third, as I said in the initial post I have already been working on a more detailed and effective system but as I only got the L&F a few weeks ago, I'm trying to get people some stuff back before it is completely pointless to do so.

Fourth, if you have any more comments, suggestions, or complaints about the way I do things, then ask me about them directly instead of bringing this up in public forums where I am required to respond and point out the reasons I do things the way that I do them.

I noticed that there was a "plastic" staff that is painted brown posted here. Was it by chance found by the Pre-Reg area? If so, then it is mine, as I was cosplaying as Nami from One Piece. I had forgotten it when I was in a hurry to leave and escape the horrible traffic.

Is there a way for me to pick it up? Maybe at the next meeting?

There was a copy of ITG for the PS2 left in a system at Kumoricon Lite.  I have it at the moment because Mark gave it to Peaktra thinking it was his and Peaktra gave it to me thinking it was mine.
