Hahaha. But that's okay, DBZ is full of quirky faces that make you wonder what the characters are actually doing.

I'm pumped, though! I'm so excited to see this. It'd better not be another roomer. ~.~ But I heard it was being filmed in Canada.

A live action Evangelion movie? THAT would be awesome to see, too!

i noes. ive heard bout the LA DBZ since i was geese... i dunno in middle school ive sent funimation emails back then and they said no there wasnt a movie in the works...

but now... G4 is talking bout it! so... it has to be! lol....

I just noticed I spelt rumor horribly wrong. e.e;

I remember sending letters to corporations. When they took CardCaptor Sakura off of Kids WB, I sent them a letter asking them to put it back on when I was in the 5th grade.

And about two weeks later, it was back on!

I think that if something as big as G4 is talking about it; especially Attack of the Show and The Feed, it shouldn't be a rumor, otherwise they'd have a lot of pissed off people.

you liked the dubbed verison curiously? I remember watching a few episodes w/ interest....never understood why I could never catch the "1st episode" until much later though.

Uhm.. I have no idea! I know that I heard about James Wong directing it, though.

I don't know who's gonna play who, cause maybe it depends on what saga they're doing the movie after? All I can say is, is that I hope Piccolo, Bulma, and Trunks are in it. e.e;

Haha, yeah I did. I was a 3rd grader though. I didn't even know what Anime was until the 7th grade.

quick search on DBZ live action movie, FOX isn't doing it. they said so.

hehe, sounds like when I was little. I saw an episode of Sailor Moon and Dragonball and got really interested but they so early that I couldn't watch them. Wasn't until High school when I started going on the internet for Ranma 1/2 and started learning about anime as a whole then.

The sweet memories of my first anime from 14 years ago are going to be ruined.

I honestly think so. Although......Transformers wasn't that bad.....maybe......

NOOOOOO!

If I have hopes for it, they will be shattered.

I'll have overly high expectations of it, and it will let me down.

In the end, they should just call it "The Matrix: 100% More Laser Action!".

It's kinda sad that the best live action movie based on a anime or manga is still The Guyver. So, so sad.

Although Part 2 had David Hayter in it (Snake Guyver, yeah!).

I'll watch it when it comes out... didn't really like DBZ after vegeta lost to goku. everything seemed to repeat over and over after that. the original Dragonball was good.

now as for the Eva movie..... It all will depend on the cast. I've heard a nasty rumor about the Eva Live action.... Frankie Muniz may be playing Shinji.... imo if this happens the movie will be ruined....

No matter who does Eva it will be ruined.

You cannot pack Eva into a trilogy, even. The story depth is just too much for a few movies.

They'll turn out like Death & Rebirth, and End of Eva, both were a bit disappointing.

I also agree that Dragonball was better, even the comedy was better.

A live action DBZ movie could be epic, like that 24 hour long film Andy Warhol made! Half of it could be everybody staring at each other! But yeah, with special effects it could turn out decent.

They'd probably market a live action Eva as a teen flick. "Adrift in a sea of humanity, Shinji Ikari must face his destiny..."

I'm just really wondering if the Live Aciton is going to be a comedy or drama. It's like the whole plotline for DBZ is so fantasical, I feel it's kind of hard for it to be taken seriously in a live-action format.

And for some reason, this whole discussion reminds me of the SNL parody of DBZ using the hot dog eating champ, KOBAYASHI!

Actually, I heard they plan on changing the setting from Tokyo to New York, and making everyone American, for the film.

Thats point number one where it will fail.

The Director of Relations... who also is my boyfriend. I actually once asked him jokingly if we could get him to Sakura Con, and he said probably not because he doesn't really have anything to do with anime, manga, or the like. But I'll still ask him what the possibilities of getting him to Kumori Con would be.
