I'm way too anxious for this thread to come out, and I got tired of waiting so I figured I'd make it for the third year in a row and see who all is planning to cosplay from Naruto in 2008!

I might make a giant fan and then throw something together to wear with it- probably Shippuden Temari, it's the easiest. If not, then Itachi. Or maybe Zetsu. There was only one Zetsu this year, she was cool.

Ahaha, I'm not sure I'd be of much help.  @__@  Just be expecting to modify a pattern to get the final cloak.

Oh! I do have a tip! Do not be afraid of using loads of interfacing for the collar. (Loads = two layers in my case.  :D)  Nothing has made my collar sag yet, and I'm really, really happy with that because I was so worried over it.

I drew up the clouds myself, white border included. So, from that, I cut out the white under layer, then the smaller red layer and just used iron-on applique material to iron them on.  :3
They're kind of... fraying, though, now. I need to trim them up a bit/figure out a way to keep them down.

I really gotta work on the cosplay between now and then like actually getting an obi... especially since this year there were like seven Tsunades running around. I need to get a new wig too... I will figure out what to do with the current wig that I have... I payed way too much to let it go to waste...

Hmmm...Well, seeing as I'm hopeless at sewing, I can only offer you a little bit of adivce. What I would do is either stalk the internetz or just use a vest pattern, winging the collar and adding the accessories onto the vest[aka the scroll pouches, ect.]....

Don't worry dear there are always at least what three or four other narutos running around at any given point in time. I can't wait to see all the great cosplays this year... Sadly if I don't make this cosplay better in time for the con I am retiring her.

I'd really like to do Sasuke from the 2nd Shippuuden ending ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ip6wL3LbtTs ) mainly because i really want to try my hand at styling a Sasuke wig, it just seems like lots of fun. But really this would be best with at least a Naruto from that ending, and other characters.

Anybody else think it'd be a cool group cosplay? I'd love to do it with other people ^_^

If nothing else i'll just take along my Kiba costume to the con. I went as Kiba (pre TJ)  last year, but my costume was lame, as I had made it like a week before, but I revamped it for Sakuracon, so it's better now. Although I want to restyle my wig a bit. And I still don't have an Akamaru, which is the biggest problem with the costume.

If I can't afford a nice base wig for Sasuke I can always do Kiba in the school uniform, though that would probably be better with other people


So yeah, in summary - At the very least I'll bring along my Kiba costume, but I'd like to have more than that. ^^;

I'd really like to do Sasuke from the 2nd Shippuuden ending ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ip6wL3LbtTs ) mainly because i really want to try my hand at styling a Sasuke wig, it just seems like lots of fun. But really this would be best with at least a Naruto from that ending, and other characters.

Anybody else think it'd be a cool group cosplay? I'd love to do it with other people ^_^

If nothing else i'll just take along my Kiba costume to the con. I went as Kiba (pre TJ)  last year, but my costume was lame, as I had made it like a week before, but I revamped it for Sakuracon, so it's better now. Although I want to restyle my wig a bit. And I still don't have an Akamaru, which is the biggest problem with the costume.

If I can't afford a nice base wig for Sasuke I can always do Kiba in the school uniform, though that would probably be better with other people

Yeah, I'm coming as Gaara, and my friend Fein is tagging along as Uzumaki (Non-shippuden, I believe.) Another friend is attending as Ed Elrich, or whoever, but that's neither here nor there.

I've already posted about my first-Con jitters (see I'm (Dressing As) a Monster, Rawr!, as well as my blog), so I won't bother talking about them. Suffice to say, *twitch*.

I'm planning on attempting a reasonable facsimile of the Sabaku-kitty's personality, but (as may be surmised from my 'normal' personality), it might be a little more than I can handle. So, that plan will probably go as well as did my plans for bringing my camera to a major event did for the last five years running.

I ended up doing a spur-of-the-moment cosplay on Monday and went as Itachi instead of Sasuke. x3 But I completely forgot my headband at the hotel when I left for the con. orz

I got quite a few pictures taken of me as Sasuke yet I haven't found any yet... :/
