I'm way too anxious for this thread to come out, and I got tired of waiting so I figured I'd make it for the third year in a row and see who all is planning to cosplay from Naruto in 2008!

Postpostpost. :D

(I'm planning on returning in my Konan cosplay, for the record.)

Well I am trying to get an Akatsuki group together for '08....I was thinking of either cosplaying second-seal Hidan or Konan. The possible people I have right now are Deidara, Sasori, and Kakuzu. So if I get more people this'll be awwwwwwwwwesome! Btw did you buy or make your cloak? We're trying to decide if we wanna make or buy :\

I'm planning on going as Teamri 1 or 2 days, ive also got a konkuro and gaara going with me. Im also planning on having a long haired sakura and a tenten >w<

I'm reminded of my haku cosplay, I retired it as the wig was a pain. I thought of maybe doing the kimono haku, but I've been busy with other cosplays.

Yeah I think that'll be my first choice, considering there will be a lot more Konans. Got any tips on making it? Your cloak looks awesome!

lol Kissarmy you were Rock Lee in full green spandex as well? Post a pic! i havent seen another person do the spandex its always pants and a shirt. But I shall be back at Kumoricon as Rock Lee probly more drunken than not most the time...But anyways spandex is greatness and quite comfortable if ya get the right kind.

I might make a giant fan and then throw something together to wear with it- probably Shippuden Temari, it's the easiest. If not, then Itachi. Or maybe Zetsu. There was only one Zetsu this year, she was cool.

Ahaha, I'm not sure I'd be of much help. @__@ Just be expecting to modify a pattern to get the final cloak.

Oh! I do have a tip! Do not be afraid of using loads of interfacing for the collar. (Loads = two layers in my case. :D) Nothing has made my collar sag yet, and I'm really, really happy with that because I was so worried over it.

I drew up the clouds myself, white border included. So, from that, I cut out the white under layer, then the smaller red layer and just used iron-on applique material to iron them on. :3
They're kind of... fraying, though, now. I need to trim them up a bit/figure out a way to keep them down.

Everybody knows I can't help but love being Tsunade... I really gotta work on the cosplay between now and then like actually getting an obi... especially since this year there were like seven Tsunades running around. I need to get a new wig too... I will figure out what to do with the current wig that I have... I payed way too much to let it go to waste...

Hahaha it'll be so weird if I'm the only Naruto there. XD But I'm working really hard on the costume, I'm being the Shippuden version of Naruto. It's gonna be so fun. And if anyone sees me at the convention, say hi or I'll get all lonely.

My friend may be going as Kurenai, but I'm not sure at this point. >> She really wants to cosplay her at some point, but I don't know if it will be this year or next. Depends on whether we can convince her to join our other cosplay groups instead. XD

Hmmm...Well, seeing as I'm hopeless at sewing, I can only offer you a little bit of adivce. What I would do is either stalk the internetz or just use a vest pattern, winging the collar and adding the accessories onto the vest[aka the scroll pouches, ect.]....
