Have you never watched FMA??? Martel is the snake chimera that was once part of the special forces but "now" is officially dead. She was rescued from the lab by Greed and works for him. She, Dorochet, Loa, Greed and Al are the only ones to survive the attack on the Devil's Nest bar, Greed's headquarters. In the same episode, Dorochet and Loa die giving Greed, Martel and Al time to escape from Lust and Glutony. Greed than runs off to get killed by Ed, leaving Martel in Al's care. We don't see her for a couple of episodes than she comes back to drive the boys to Ishbal and tells the real story of the war. She travels with the boys for a bit and ends up at Central City with them and attempts to kill King Bradley, but fails and ends up being killed by Bradley while inside Al's armor.

I think that covers it.

Okay, since it's a new year, and you all seem to need something to do to keep you out of trouble, maybe you can help me out with something. Last year we had a couple of wonderful teams of variously thrown together players... this year, I'd like to see something more. We were so close to Good vs. Evil (and that is still my personal fave), but I'm looking for suggestions on team themes for this year.

What would you like to see? A battle of the sexes? Shoujo vs shounen (who would win, Riza from FMA or Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon?) Throw out some ideas, and let's see what we can come up with. I can't guarantee we will end up using any particular idea (alot depends on sign-ups), but surprise me

(Hmm, I can't decide which is more entertaining: Tuxedo Mask sweeping Riza off her feet, or Riza putting a bullet into his mask

I like the battle of the sexes idea, although I think the "Girls" King should be like a very feminine guy not a girl like Ritsu Sohma from Fruba, and the "Guys" Queen should be a very butch girl, or a girl that gets confused for a guy, like Haruhi from Ouran.

Eh, let me ask a question for myself and all other people who are new to this 'Cosplay Chess' thing...Erm, how to does work? Is it just like regular[ish] chess? Also, when two people are facing up against each other[for example, last years Gaara and the schoolgirls, which ish awesome on YouTube], how do they determine the winner? Just whatever happens, happens?

Also, how are the people chosen to move? Erm, to make a little more sense...How do we know who goes during that turn? Will an announcer or something decide?

It's like regular chess... there are chess masters that tell the pieces what move to make (so a piece doesn't have to know how to play chess, just how to take orders). The winning piece is always the piece that attacks, just like in chess... that is how a school girl could kill Gaara (which was very awesome, and I totally love the chess masters for making that happen

).

Pieces are chosen based on their cosplay. In a couple of months I will be posting the rules for it, but basically you need send in a picture of your cosplay to be considered. It's not a first-come, first-serve event, it's based completely on your cosplay, so the better and more unique it is (I try very hard not to have more than one of the same cosplay), the more likely you are to be chosen.
