Just a random question. Who else plans to take the MAX into downtown, then walk the seven or so blocks to the Con? Anyone plan on doing it in costume? ^_^

I'll be riding from Gateway.

Close, I'm taking LIFT, and that'll set me off at the hotel itself, but I expect some interesting looks nevertheless.

Actually, if you go to the trouble of transfering to the Portland Streetcar it'll drop you off only 3 blocks away on the other side.

This means a lot if your costume is bulky and awkward or you have lots of stuff.

^^ My group will be maxing at like, 7:30 in the morning. And in costume. We're coming from the Sunset Transfer Station.

But none of my costumes are bulky. And it's almost a straight shot if you get off at Oak and 1st. I think there's one stop closer, but it's hard to judge. I know the Yamhill stop is closer, but that's only Eastbound.

I ck'ed all the maps, and it looks like Yamhill district is the closest stop, being about 6 blocks away.  I'll be taking max(in costume) as well.  Also, I'm interested in meeting with your morning naruto group Yari, however, I'm not much of a morning person X_X.

Closest Max stops to the Con (all three routes stop at these):

Wesbound:
SW Oak and 1st
 - or -
3rd and Morrison.

Easbound:
Yamhill district

Of course, they're all several blocks away. But you just have to walk over to Naito Parkway (the street that runs along Waterfront Park) and meander your way to Columbia (where the hotel is).

What's this about a morning Naruto thing?

Staring is fun.  I figure, if they stare, I can stare back and not feel bad.  Mwaha...>_>  Anyways.  Yes, MAXing.

Okay. So I finally got the time I'm leaving. A group of us will be gathering at Gateway, to catch one of the trains at about 8:50am on Saturday morning. In costume. All Naruto costumes, I beleive.

My sister, friend, mother (we are forcing her to take us) and I will be riding it on Monday but I have no idea when my mother will let us go and how long we can stay. My costume isn't ready yet since we only found out we could go in the last 24 hours, I most likely will be Yoh, my friend Anna and my sister... Freya. She doesn't want to wear her costume but me and my friend do, although our costumes are last minute and look like just normal people clothes XD But then again I am not normal... Hee hee see you there! Can't wait!
