Good online wig shops?
« on: August 04, 2007, 04:26:49 pm »
I need help getting a wig!

My only option at the moment is ordering one from an online wig shop, and seeing as I'm no good at finding that sort of thing, I'd like to know if anyone has any suggestions!

(I'd much prefer the shops that specialize in cosplay wigs, so that they have a large selection of fun-coloured wigs. I'm looking for a blue one, afterall~)

This is the best store that I found online but I was looking for a realistic wig but they have plenty of "crayola" color wigs as well and have photos of cosplayers in their wigs.

I second Amphigory! ^^ The wig I bought from that store was the Kanekalon Beast, an amazing wig that looks incredibly realistic and comes in tons of colors. On the front page of their wig section you will find a link to their most popular wigs for cosplay! =D

So yes, I recommend Amphigory completely: great styles, tons of colors, and reliable service. :D

Thanks for the suggestion you two, but Amphigory hasn't quite got what I'm looking for.   :(

It's this character who's got blue hair.

This is the current wig I'm looking at buying (and then would cut and style it), but it's so expensive.  x__x

Hmm, that's actually a pretty standard price, as long as it is a quality wig. I believe I paid $50 for my Chloe wig from amphigory.

yeah he's right... cosworks makes awsome wigs, though on the spendy side.. i bought mine for my tsunade cosplay while up at sakuracon... (*pst* its awsome though cause i got a discount for being part of the kcon crew in the sakuracon vending area.. volunteering has perks beyond helping run a smooth kcon...)

yup. 45 bucks for a wig that length isn't bad at all. you could always try ebay too...but some of the wigs on there are even spendier

the person in the picture you gave us has got short hair though...so you could just get something like this too and style it a little bit: http://www.cosworx.com/product.php?productid=25880&cat=2447&page=1  (its 10 bucks cheaper) and select the color 'ocean pacific' (if you wanted to see the color charts for cosworx..click here: http://www.cosworx.com/pages.php?pageid=13 )
