Okay I am hiding from the god-awful mess I started on the dance thread and feeling quite inspired from the AMV.org forum I now post this:
What not to say at a Convention. here are just a few of my favs that I've heard already:

1-Yelling "GIRLS! HOT YAOI ACTION!" in a crowded anime convention hall.
2-If someone asks you about your outfit respond," I'm extra 324 from (pick anime title) episode (number or title) scene 5, i'm the one dieing in the backround on the right, want to see my cosplay
3- "CHAIR!!!"
4- "I have Pocky." I swear... some people would be able to hear that from like 50 feet away.
5- Shouting in a crowded Pre Reg line "F*** DDR!"

I feel like david letterman here.... :)

Oh yeah right.  You think you can escape that easily, you're wrong.  You and Magnus are gonna go clean that up pronto, missy.  *hands you a sponge and a whisk broom* now get to work!

Here's another one...

"Look!  It's Man-Faye!"

and here's one to NEVER ask Tom the Fanboy:

"Can we see what's under the robe?"

One thing I always remind myself when I go to a con is that while the girl in the chainmail battle bikini may be on display, she is not on display specifically for my benefit. generally speaking, any rude comments to someone in a revealing cosplay outfit, especially if it involves haggling over price, is considered very bad karma.  8O

In general, rude comments to girls in revealing outfits when they've got hammers of death/swords/etc, is NOT the smartest move ^.^;;;

Amen,

At a con, people may decide to live out their fantasies and perhaps not make the best costume choice for their body.  Or perhaps they don't know how they could have modified the costume to make it more flattering for them.

Please give these people a BREAK!  It's amazing how acute your hearing becomes if you are a little bit uncomfortable in what you are wearing and even comments said a good distance away can be heard.  If you really are that mean of a person that has to say, "Did you see all the pimples that Yuna had!" or something like that, save it for your room or someplace private.

And as Michael mentioned, just because they are living out their fantasy by wearing an outfit, doesn't mean you get to live out your fantasy by not taking no for an answer from that person.  Say hello.  Look the person in the EYES.  Talk to them, tell them you like their costume.  Ask what kind of anime they like.  But I can promise you that the line, "You know what would look good on you?......Me!" isn't going to work.  (Well, there is about a 1% chance that it might, but if it doesn't you've lost ANY chance)

(Oh, and if you are over 18, notice what color badge you have.  If you see another badge for the same amount of days as you and it's a different color, that means the person is under 18.  Keep that in mind too)

Never insult a girl, period.  She can always con someone bigger than you into making you clean the carpet with your teeth.

Check the gender of the person in question before hitting on them. (One of my friends was so exited when he finally got an Asuka cosplayer's phone number that I didn't have the heart to tell him that the Asuka in question was just a really cute, and really effeminate guy. ^.^; )

Never, EVER start a Jin-Roh debate near me. (I've watched the movie nearly once a week for three years.  I am the final judge on EVERYTHING for that movie! )

Don't shout anything about free pocky anywhere, you will cause a stampede.

Don't wear pefume, EVER!!!  You will always cause the one athsmatic in the crowd to have an attack, and their friends will all hurt you.  Badly.  And I will help, after the doctors have me hooked up to an oxygen machine.  Which I will beat you with. >.<

Don't get into a Goku vs Akira fight.  It makes you look stupid.

As funny as the pick up lines in the Anime Jackass movies are, you will get laughed at for trying them.

^.^

My advice, be nice, congrat people on cool costumes or ideas, but don't look them in the eyes for too long.  It's seen as a threat to some people (I'll do anything to break off eye contact unless I'm checking out someone's contacts or creepy/cool eye color.)

I hear ANY complaints from minors about adults hitting on them, the adults have to talk to ME!!! >.< (I;ve dealt with this a lot lately, as my friend Sam -yes, she should be my gardner- has had this issue too.  I don't take kindly to it. )

Not only that, Perfume/Cologne are not substitutes for being clean anyway.

And check the label of that stuff you should be putting under your arms in the morning... if it only says deodorant, go to the store and get a new one that also says antiperspirant (or a combination of both).  Deodorant pretty much just covers up smells, antiperspirant stops the sweat in that area so you'll be all nice and fresh for that much longer.

No one who needs these posts ever seem to be the ones that read them, but here is my message in hopes of converting a few people:

You know all those cool shirts you've been collecting over the years? We want to see as many of them as possible!  I know you have that one favorite you want to wear all weekend, but really, you have so many you could show us!  They also last longer if you are clean when you put them on (cross my heart).  Before you come to the con, make sure to take a shower, use extra soap anywhere hair grows (special shampoo or hair soap is good for your hair).  Then dry yourself off, put on antiperspitant, and put on a different cool shirt.

In fact, start looking through your laundry pile today (right now if you want) and pick out your favorite 3 or 4 shirts and wash them.  Make sure they are all clean and ready to go for the con!  Wash other clothes to wear in the mean time so you can be sure your favorites are ready to go!

something i hope not to hear, is "you're too old to be here" or "are you here for your kid" something like that.

people of a wide range of ages enjoy anime and related artforms, and this is a beautiful thing.

this thread affords and opportunity to point out that sean, our con chair, is holding a forum that is basically anime con etiquette 101. hopefully it will help.

That's us.  Taking something funny and making it serious.

We're really good at bending things the other way too-- taking something serious and making it really silly.

well i think there are both sides to this topic. i love the david letterman joke thing...but also, there are folks who can be (intentionally or unintentionally) insulting to others with their words. i'm hoping for a safe, inclusive, and hilariously enjoyable con for all. bearing in mind what kinds of choices in communications can help towards that goal is a good thing, whether obtained via humor or serious discussion. imho. :D

Yeah I think I am the kind of Final Fantasy nut who would break his buster sword over your @ss if you even murmered a bad word about Final Fantasy, unless of course you were comparing one FF game to another, then its all coolies. But just don't say that you didn't like the series based on Final Fantasy Mystic Quest or something like that. (And by the way that game did not deserve the title of Final Fantasy) LOL

If a guy is ever disguised cleverly enough for me to say he looks cute, rather than be embarrassed, I will shake his hand and give him a compliment. ;) Because if someone is going to cosplay in drag, they might as well do it properly.

But if I ever went so far as to hit on one (heck, that'd be unlikely enough even for a REAL girl), yes, I do think that would be sufficient cause for embarrassment.

However, please do not resort to skirt-flipping, people. :)

"Final Fantasy sucks!" ;)

Well, actually, I won't say that in public. What I will say is "Final Fantasy is highly overrated," and I'll try not to say it with my back turned to a large group of FF cosplayers. But if they DO hear it, I will own up to it, and tell them why I think so.

Evil Mystic Quest... evil.

I, even as an ff fan can totaly agree that it's overrated. Granted, the games are awesome if you like rpg's, but I've played plenty of games that are either on par or better than some ff games that never got a chance because of final fantasy fanatics.

Yet, I haven't found an ff game that I didnt like, so at least I know they're consistant.

...Except Mystic Quest? ;)

That's okay though, I'm not going to say it "counts." It was a strange divergence, anyway, so I've heard.

Yeah, Final Fantasy is somewhat consistent... but I have no trouble finding RPGs I like, even while bouncing around from one company to another.

With Final Fantasy, for me, it's like being promised chocolate cheesecake, and getting Pocky instead.  Sure, I like Pocky... but after getting promised cheesecake, I want m'dang cheesecake!!

Anyway, go ahead and get angry when someone bashes FF (as long as it's all in good fun), but only if they're being unreasonable about it. After all, "it sucks" isn't much of an argument. (assuming they're looking for a fan argument, of course)

Too true.

I also find Final Fantasy to be over rated.

Also, why is it called "Final" Fantasy?

When was the first one, and why hasn't any of these so-called "final" ones ACTUALLY been the Final one?

I find .hack to be a much better RPG in my opinion. All FF is good for now is smooth images. I'd like to see it ACTUALLY end, however it won't.

My great great great great great great great grandchildren will be dispising Final Fantasy 246.  :(

DON'T SNEEZE ON PEOPLE!!! (I hate the cold >.<)

Don't eat strange foods offered by strange people/tentacles.

If you know you are allergic to something, or that it upsets your stomach badly (lactose intolerance sucks   , check labels on ALL food products (Vitawater constains a huge amount of lactose for some strange reason.), it will make your Con much more fun. ^.^

Spandex is NOT a right!!! >.<

Heh, much as I like this (off-) topic, continuing is making Riverspree cry. So, back on topic.... I think....

PrincessFrodo seems to be riding the line between jokes and serious advice...

Hmm, how about this:

- Never shout "Of COURSE it's real!!!" within earshot of con security.

Some silly advice:

If you see two people in Lina and Gourry costumes, never follow them. NEVER.

If the Sailor Senshi who are approaching you all have beards and beer guts, it is considered impolite to run away screaming.

Some serious advice:

Always respect everyone's personal space! In a crowded event, personal space is at a premium. Never touch ANY part of ANYONE'S person or costume unless you have their permission.

If you are going to be meeting a girlfriend or boyfirend at the con, or hoping to find one, remember the difference between public and private behavior. Nobody else really wants to watch you make out.

If you DO meet another consenting adult at the con, make sure you have protection, and use it. I remember a sci-fi convention where they handed out condoms to everybody who showed up and looked like they even might be of age. Nobody wants to come home from a convention with a disease -- or an unplanned pregancy!

NO MEANS NO! NO ALWAYS MEANS NO! If someone insists on pressing their attentions on you after you have refused them, that's felony assault. GET AWAY FROM THAT PERSON IMMEDIATELY, no matter how you have to do it, and CONTACT SECURITY IMMEIDTALEY! Try and remember the person's bagde name so the organziers can deal with them appropriately. (If I were the concom, I'd be kicking them out and handing them over to the cops if they tried that stunt....)

Always treat minors with respect. Don't assume they're unknowledgable because they have an under 18 badge. just because someone is dressed as Misty doesn't mean they don't like other anime too.

It really IS OK to like Poemon or Yu-Gi-Oh!, so don;t insult people for expressing a liking for those shows.

If a behavior would be unethical anywhere else, it is also unethical at a con.

If you require medication for any condition, be it medial or psychiatric or whatever, take your meds with you to the con and maintain your usual dosage schedule. Your health is more improtant than anything else while you are at a con. You can't enjoy the con if you ignore your health! Also, have a plan in case you have a medical emergency and make sure your friends know it in case you lose consicousness.

If you use alcohol at the con, use it responsibly and only in a location where alcohol is permitted. And never use illegal or street drugs at a con -- this could get the roganizers, as well as you, in a hgue amount of trouble, and we really don't want that.

Make sure you get adequate food and fluids. Again, it comes down to doing what is neccesary to keep your health and strength up so you can enjoy the con.

Kimberly always was hot.  And why should I feel guilty saying that? She's probably about the same age as me, as I was in high school when the show was on.

I watched Power Rangers for awhile for the exact same reason my sister now watches Live Action Sailor Moon. But that's also why I don't watch Sailor Moon with her: the "corny goodness" has worn off.

By the way, you guys might want to make a "Conventions 101" topic if you want to go at this subject seriously. After all, this topic is titled "Things not to SAY at a con."

My next Thing:

well going back on the sci fi con someone mentioned I guess saying "They are giving away free condoms" to a crowd of horny/hormone raging teenagers is also a bad idea.

I was at sakura con and I gave out free glow in the dark bracelet so if kumoricon has a rave That could be something else not to say. Well I could say that there are freebies in the dealers hall and I get a premo place in line as the masses go off in search.... Mua Ha Ha Ha (evil laugh)

I was too old for "Billy" but his actor was legal age.  :)

Quite frankly, all the girls I knew who watched it liked Tommy.

Its true though, Tommy was so cool. I heard hes back on a new one, too.

Oh, and its also Ok to like the Dragon Ball series, without beng repeatedly labled a newbie.

Oh, and I do watch Sailor Moon Live Action, though, I am kinda mad about what happend to Zoisite...

"Chair" has never happened at Sakura or Kumori and let's drop the subject before people get curious.  I know my MCs will cut if off if anyone starts...

First, if someone could pm me about this 'Chair' thing, as I'm dying with curiosity. ^.^;

Second, when standing in line, do not ask the girl standing in front of you "Are those real?" ^.^

And thidly, ramen is not a food group, or a valuable costume material.  I don't care if you wear it, but please don't wear it. ^.^;

Y'know when comics "swear" how they have subtitute symbols for the words?  Try saying the following instead of swearing...

ok someone probably ddi this but how about these

holds your fingers in that vulcan greeting type thing (I forgot what it is called) and say "live long and prosper"

"Sailormoon sucks"  at least dont do this near any sailormoon fans.

Anime is cartoons a vst majority of people seem to feel that there is a difference between anime and cartoons.  saying anime is cartoons is regarded as offensive by a lot of anime fans.  (yes even though someone pointed out that in japan anime is used for everything animated including cartoons)

quote shakespear  most of us wont even know what you are talkin about

"All anime is nothing but sailormoon, pokemon and DBZ"  you will cause a mob of angry anime fans by sayign that.

cant think of anymore.

And if, for some reason, like me, you were conned into wearing your costume all three days, make sure you do the laundry every night.  You really don't want to wear a sweaty shirt for three days in a row.  (I didn't even have real access to a washer and dryer, but I managed.  Old fashioned laundry with a bathtub, a clothesline, and a blowdryer, WOOT!)

Things you should never say at a convention:

Never start a moment of Trigun fandom "Love and Peace" near someone who doesn't like trigun, or if the Vash and Wolfwood you ask to do it with you decide that it's not a good idea.  You might end up running for your life from a Naruto cosplayer who is after your hands.  (JK..it actually happened, but I don't think she was serious.  all in fun, all in fun)

Never mention that you have pocky to anyone at the anime convention, especially if your voice carries...you will run out of pocky....

Never say "Naruto sucks" at an anime convention where there are more Naruto cosplayers than you can safely count..... (It wasn't me, I swear.  I was just one of the people doing the "Love Boat" Karaoke... )

Back on the badge color thing. WHat in gods name do you do if a red badge keeps following you arround and making eyes at you while her older friend (who is also wearing a red badge) is acting all protective like.  Help me this has happened twice at seperate cons. (why must the underage girls hit on me wherever I go.)

and, no the proper answer is not "GO FOR IT!"

Agreed. The proper answer is not "go for it."

I'd say to tell the red badge that was following you that she's making you nervous/uncomfortable and that you'd prefer it if she didn't follow you around. I recommend that you tell her nicely as she probably doesn't realize that it bothers you.
If her friend starts acting very protective, I'd say to explain to the friend that you won't go after their friend and that she's (the red badge that's following you) actually making you nervous.

Hey, look at it this way. You have young girls that think you're cute.  That doesn't happen to everyone. ^ ~

One of the best ways to handle this is to REPLACE or OVERWRITE something you -don't- want with something ELSE. So let's all just say we're starting a NEW tradition in that "Chair" is called out when the Con Chair walks by in the hall, and it's a time for other members to wave politely and thank the Chair for organizing such a wonderful event...

OK? Can we do that?

Meanwhile for things NOT so say at a con, shouting "He's got a
  • !" with x = bomb, gun, boxcutter, live steel, an HK knock-off, etc, can be BAD.

More things not to say at a con:

"Whoa, that chick's naked!" if the girl/guy in question is wearing a flesh colored body suit.  This will cause undue confusion, and or heart attacks among staff and con-goers.

More things not to say at an anime convention....

...They're out of Ramune!

...The dealer's room is sold out...of everything.

...Look, it's Sailor Bubba!  (Definitely do not say in a crowded hallway.  Similar effect to Man-Faye)

...Chair!  (Unless you're talking about the con chair....and then, it's only polite to say "Look, it's the con-chair!"  Saying "Chair" is likely to get you hurt by veterans of Fanime)

something i hope not to hear, is "you're too old to be here" or "are you here for your kid" something like that.

people of a wide range of ages enjoy anime and related artforms, and this is a beautiful thing.

this thread affords and opportunity to point out that sean, our con chair, is holding a forum that is basically anime con etiquette 101. hopefully it will help.

Sadly, I heard something along these lines at my first convention.

But it was kinda funny too.  I was standing in line at Sakura con and this man says to me "Nice to see another parent."  to which I smiled and replied "Yes, it is."  He then went on, obviously thinking he had the go ahead, in a grumpy put upon voice "She dragged me along.  I don't even like this stuff"  I must emphasize that by "stuff" he obviously meant "contemptable childish pap" His daughter looked a little embarrassed, sort of grinned at me and looked away.  About instantaneously with that my daughter piped up "She's the one who dragged me here.  In fact, she was the one in the family that liked anime first."  The look of surprise and discomfort on his face was somewhat amusing.

The next con day I wore all my pins on my purse strap so I wouldn't be confused for someone "dragged along."

O_o; I keep hearing comments like this, and it's got me inundated with curiosity. I'm not sure whether to call it "morbid" curiosity, because that depends on how much truth there is in what I hear. Some of it may be exaggeration or just joking.

Okay: I've heard people saying -- no, insisting -- that the original Sailor Moon series was borderline ecchi. And this was not said with the tone of an aging Sailor Bubba who wants with all his heart for it to be true.

I've only seen about 20 minutes total of the anime. I've seen several episodes of the live action show, but it's obviously been reformatted to truly target young teen girls (though it's getting plenty of attention from girls older than that in the U.S.).

Now, in a way this entire post is part of "things not to say at a con," because blurting this out in a public area would most certainly result in a Moonie debate lasting for the next 20 minutes minimum. ;) So please remember that all of the above is hearsay unless otherwise noted.

P.S. - Someone really needs to start a Conventions 101 thread. This courtesy discussion is great, but it was a rather heavy topic to spring on an unsuspecting thread such as this.

Heh.  So true.  My mom told me that I shouldn't like Sailor Moon anymore because it was "kids stuff", to which, I showed her the Japanese version, with unedited subtitles, and she stopped calling it that...^_^

The last season goes a bit beyond borderline echi ^.^;  Great show uncut though, especially the last season.  Chibi Chibi is still one of my fav characters to this day. ^.^

Things not to shout:

The ANBU are attacking!  Run for your lives!

Frodo has snapped, run for your lives! (Actually, if I do snap at a Con, it would probably be a good thing to run... I like the Crazy 88's. ^.^; )

That has to be fake! (About anything)

Feh, my sword is MUCH sharper than yours! (And Security will rain down and haul you away ^.^ )

She's giving out her number for free!!! (I want to do this with that refusal number ^.^ )
No, I'm not insane.  I'm just... happy.

"Did you see that (random anime) girl/guy?! they're costume was crap!" -you may be talking to one of their close friends!

"OMGZOZRZ LEIK MAI KOSTUM ISH WEI BETAR!" -just plain MEAN! Everyone, well most, people put a lot of hard work into their costumes. And not EVERYONE can get the shoes to look exact. Or they weren't sure how to make one part so they winged it. It's just plain rude to think your better ;p

"Like WHOA! That's totally BOSS!" only Joe is allowed to do zee Shaggy voice XD Please don't be a Joe-wanna-be (ooo it rhymed)

And as a thing more along the lines of what NOT to DO:

This is mostly targeted at the ladies here. Seriously, if your underaged (most of the ones I hear about are 15-17) DO NOT fallow around a guy that is 20+ Unless he's all like "OMGZOZR I LUB JOO AND SO DO MY PARENTS" then it is ILLEGAL. It's ok to be friends, but if your flirting until the cows come home.. just.. stop.

and for the guys:
I'm sick of being groped. It may have been an ACCIDENT, but when it happens about 3 times in the same place, I'm not going to be happy. I heard some complaints from other girls about some ninja-groper. It wasn't cool. If your not a SUPER close friend and your gunna rub all up on some girl... don't even go to the con > <!!

Oy, that reminds me of the time my old man made fun of me for watching a "girls show".

I had to repeatidly point out Mamoru and scream back "See, there's at least ONE guy in the show! SO THERE!".

Ah, cherished memories (Any GTO otaku would recognize that as the title of the third ending, performed by Hong Kong Knife).

Something never to do at any con is loudly badmouth ANY anime or manga, because ten to one, there is an Otaku nereby that likes it.

"(insert anime title here) SUCKS!!!!111" is a no-no, especially if you actually SAY "exclaimation exclaimation exclaimation exclaimation one one one!", but who would do that? Thats just too weird and crazy.

IMO, I will PERSONALLY beat the living crap out of anyone who disses Tenchi Muyo in any way. Specifically the Ryoko and Ryo-Ohki characters, Ayeka is fine 'cuz we all know Ayeka sucks. =)

Just kiddin' Ayeka fans (or am I? I probably am. Just for the sake of ending this post, I am).

....your cosplay sucked!

....you shouldn't be in the cosplay/karaoke, you're not good enough!

....can you move?  I want a picture of the person behind you who is wearing the exact same costume, but theirs is so much better!  (this actually happened to me.  That is really, really not the right thing to say to someone who spent triple digits worth of hours on their costume and hasn't slept or eaten for more than 24 hours.)

....Group picture!  Everybody gather around...except you.

....Oh my Groupies!  It's (insert anime character), run!  (I'm guilty of this one.  I've been afraid of Sailor Scouts since Sakuracon 2003....and it was only my meeting Michi, a very cool sailor Uranus, and her cosplay group that cured me of this.  I remember an event where I spent the entire time running from a cosplayer I admire alot, because all I could see was the fact that they were dressed like Sailor Jupiter.....oh, the shallowness of trauma..... )

Okay... some sillyness:

What NOT to Say:

"that show sucks!" (Yes, and so does your ability to articulate yourself)

"Pocky." (Wheter you're looking for it, have it, etc. BEWARE!)

"Happosai!!!!", or any other similar catchphrase (Unless you wanna Death By Glompness.)

What TO Say:

Any MST3K-type comment when watcing some silly live-action version of an anime. ("Is that what they call a shonen jump?" ^_^)

Compare people to ninjas. They just seem to like that.

Not Sure:

"I LOVE YOUR COSTUME!!!111ONEONE!!111" (Either the person will enjoy your enthusiasm for their cosplay abilites, or they will run away/hit you. Thankfully, I DO NOT know that form experience... ^_^;;)

Heh, this was actually listed in my duties as a helper at the PGSM slumber party. Make sure that the MSTing didn't get inappropriate or out of hand.

I only had tos shush a few people *eyes the Naruto cosplayers, ie half the congoers* but we didn't have a riot so I think it was all taken well.

I also remember that specific joke being made. That was a good one...
I think I might try and organize a dual showing next year, one for viewing by hardcore dramafans and then have an all out MSTing the next night for people to cut loose. It'd be a good way to not ruin things for first time viewers.

...(Pokemon/Sailormoon/Dragonball Z/televised show) isn't anime, that's an American cartoon!  I know 'cause I saw it on (Fox/Cartoon Network/WB/other network cable channel)!

...Why do they make anime in Japanese?  They should make it in English in the Beginning, so we can understand it.  Who speaks Japanese, anyway?  (Someone actually said this to me.  I wanted to scream/or puke/or both.   8O )

How far did she chase us?

Never say---

And Sailor Uranus jokes around me! I cosplay as Sailor Uranus and I will kick your ass!

"Baka Zoku sucks and isn't funny..." Those people are some of the funniest ones I know...

"Gundamn Wing is only for guys..." Grr.... I also cosplay as Duo Maxwell...

ACTUALLY!!
I was put on a bet for the Sakuracon:
Waits in huge hallway traffic line for cosplay, waits, yells so that absolutly everyone can hear,

"WHAT THE HELL'S UP WITH ANIME?! I HATE IT!! IT'S JUST A BUNCHA FRIGGIN CARTOOONS!!!"

The bet was twenty bucks....... >.> That would be convention suicide.

Sorry but I like to write. Alot. When I'm bored. Gennerally what I say is interesting or entertaining but I don't have an editor, so I don't know. Anyhow I'm in the habit of writing long messages so if I'm off today, skip this, or just seek amusement from my unique spelling.

I genneraly have no idea what not to say despite my many experiances in offending people.

But I do know that if you say anything bad about Final Fantasy VII I will hunt you down and bop you with a paper towel roll or if none are available I will ninja slap you with a fly swatter (I'd clean the fly swatter first or it would be disgusting).

Judging from what a lot of people have said about groping I'm glad I decided against making a miroku costume.

Other than color coded name tags (minors are red right?) how can I recognize minors in a group. I don't have a very strong grasp on the concepts of time or age so have had some suprizes. An odd experiance is being in a chatroom where a few guys are flirting with this chick whose screename is "sexy(something I forgot)" and after about 10 minutes she is kind enough to mention she is 13 (I'm 18 in case you wondered. I laughed, gasped, vomited and choked on my ramen all at the same time (I am in fact dead now thank you very much).

So I'm working on my Ebisu (Pervert Senin from naruto) costume and would appreciate if someone could help me come up with a non-offensive way of asking the ladies to help me recreate the harem no jutso scene (simply out of appreciation for the naruto manga) .

Is anyone else disturbed by all these hot anime characters that are minors? Maybe I'm just getting freaked out because some characters that I thought were hot are now younger than me. Tifa's like 23 or something right? At least I'll have Tifa for about four more years before I draw even with her.

Someone pls PM me about the chair thing. I was thinking it was just because all the time I was at sakura-con I never once saw an acual chair.

Well TTYL peoples.

Viva la ninja!

Here's one. I'm tempted to try this out.

"What's Naruto?"

And I can imagine someone saying this response.  ^^

"It's the white spongy thing with the pink spiral on it that you find in ramen."

-- as you should
"why should we include that, its not anime" (thing i like about cons is that its a melting pot of fun stuff, including some technicly non anime stuff)
and i know this was mentioned before but 'japanaime, when some says that its like scraching a chalk board, spoons in garbage disposil,

Bah, if you were a ninja you wouldn't need to log on because the forum would fear you. And all would tremble at the terrifying name of 'guest'!!!

I know, one of my friends heard someone saying how much they hated who she was cosplaying as at SakuraCon this year. It's not cool.

But that doesn't happen too often, people at the cons are usually pretty nice people!~ ^^
