Party in Tualatin!
« on: April 30, 2004, 09:59:59 pm »
I'm going to hold a party after the con at my place in Tualatin. Anyone up for coming? You *will* have to find your own way, but it should last for a few hours. We'll have snacks and all that good stuff, and it's a nice way to unwind.

Humm..I'm thinking fried rice, maybe some Japanese candy..and then other non-anime type snacks such as Pringles, meat and cheese tray..that kinda stuff. I must confess, though, that I've never actually been to a convention..and therefore never to an 'after-convention' party.

All right. I figure I can do some cooking while people are there too, since the kitchen and living room are connected, so I won't have any problem seeing/hearing what's going on...

Oh, I should say it now--the bus line that usually goes to the area doesn't run on weekends. So you know.

Oooh! Sounds like fun! I'm local so getting there's not an issue. In fact, I can probably drive a few people if I need to!

One suggestion tho. If you want to make sure everyone's happy with the snacks, why not have everyone go by Uwajimaya on the way over? Then we can all drool over the yummy goodness and pick stuff out! Besides, it's a good excuse to stop by there :P

OK, but I can't drive (I get around on LIFT), so I don't know if I'd be able to tag along...

I'd love to be there! Can I bring friends along though? I have  some friends who aren't AS into the whole convention scene as I am, but I'm sure they'd have fun there.

Email me, k?

As long as I can get home by tri-Met, ro someone can give me a lift back to downtown, I could go. Otherwise I'd have to pass.

All right, since it looks like we're having a caravan to Uwajimaya and then to my place, let's set up a place to meet. I'm thinking after closing ceremonies, we can meet up in the lobby.

I'll give you all the address and directions at the lobby, ok? So bring something to write with.

Sounds good! Hee hee... The joys of skipping classes on labor day... Oh, just out of curiosity, how late is the party gonna go? Just trying to get an idea of how much time I'll have to finish up my homework for the next day (since classes start next Monday for me >.<;; )
