I bought lots of fabric and a few patterns for my Mackenzie cosplay yesterday...I'm excited!

Let's see...until I learn how to sew, I'll have to end up requesting help on my cosplays.

So, I've placed an order for a Pit cosplay (Super Smash Brothers Brawl), and I am currently having someone help me sew my Green Ranger suit.

I still haven't started on the boots, gloves, or power shield yet.

Now for the things I specialize in!

Pit's Bow of Palutena will be my first project.  It will be my first project using Wonderflex.  Should be fun.  After that I need to start making Zack's SOLDIER sword from Crisis Core.

It's Finals week right now, so once that is over I will be in Yatta Cloud's garage for countless days working on the props and stuff.

Well my Soulreaper uniform is complete however the black over kimono is too small so I will have to completely redo and make it about two sizes larger.

However the rest fits perfectly.

  100% : Haruhi Suzumia school uniform - completed and ready to wear. I have to break in the shoes as they feel a little tight when wearing the socks that go with the costume     (note to others: ALWAYS wear the socks you're going to be wearing with the shoes when you're purchasing them. I should KNOW that, but noooooooooooo, I wore nylon stockings that day, and the cotton socks are somewhat thicker. Ghaaaaaa)

 30% : Cornelia from Code Geass - Got the jacket pattern drafted, fitted and cut out. Ready to sew that tonight. Have fabric & supplies for pants, boot covers and cloak.

PS: and we will NOT discuss the piles of fabric designated for other costumes that are sitting in my sewing room....

I've got a lot of the parts for my cosplays but I still need to assemble them. I haven't tried to put together my Pocky Armor yet because I need a couple more Giant Pocky Boxes to be comfortable cutting them up (I don't want to risk using them up and ruining them).

I still need a good jacket and sunglasses for Gendo and then I'm done. He's the closest one right now.

It's something, right? A lot of trial and error was involved. I also look silly in it, but whatever.

I went to Goodwill to hunt for some white boots, but didn't have any luck.
I did buy a sailor-looking outfit for $5 though, lol.

As for my haruhi suzumiya cosplay... we'll see if I have enough money after everything lol.

Basically.  For my night elf priestess costume I need to buy thigh-high stockings, knee high boots, long-ass black gloves, short-shorts (o-o i'm terrified.), and a red pimp hat.  Thats the stuff that just needs to be altered. After that I need to make by my own crazy shoulder things, belt, and cape. Then to make me night-elfy I still have to purchased purpley make up and ears and such.

I've located everything I need to buy, but I still need to buy it and fix it to however it pleases me. Needless to say, I've got a metric buttload of work to do. @_@

...And I found a good Yukina wig on Cosworx.
Kerunyo offered to have her dad paypal it for me and I pay him back.
Oh, and I found perfect Yukina shoes/socks on my Japanese class field trip to Uwajimaya.  Yay!

Gackt - 0%; Yeah, right! I've been poking around for materials but I still haven't purchased anything!

Sephiroth - 30ish%; I've got pieces of this costume all over my room at the moment and a half-disassembled trenchcoat calling my name. Notably, I have to wait for a friend to finish the leather SOLDIER belt, and I still have to make beta shoulder pauldrons to expiriment with before building the real things. OH YEAH, styling the new wig's gonna be fun.

I'd say the dollar store/tree/shoppe. They have hair accessories and all those nice little things, and for only a dollar!

I'd suggest checking out vintage/used clothing stores for heels. Places like Red Light, the Metro, and a whole lot of other stores on Hawthorne, you have a good chance of finding something there.

id say that my etna cosplay is....77% complete?

I already have the shirt and the skirt done. I also have the arm things, and the red braclets to go with it.
the tail is also completed. (its so cute! im so proud of it. <3) that only leaves the wings, the shoes, and the stockings. oh yeah, and i must dye my hair.*sigh* the stockings will be easy enough, and so will the boots...

what really has me apprehensive is the wings. all they are is cardboard with fabric and paint. they look cool, but they arent very sturdy. T__T not only that, but theres already a bend on one side (that was my fault..) so the wing is weak, and i may have to re-do them completely. furthermore, no idea how to attack the wings to my body. WAH! T-T anybody have any advice for this?!

Kexita spirit gum works really well to stuck things to ur bod and spirit gum remover is the best thing to get it off but it also comes of with water a soap.
 
As for my costumes jo is almost done i just need to make her chaps and then for zetsuei i need to do his crazy ribbons and i am almost complete with making kairi's keyblade which looks cool.

Now I just need to make the jacket. I have the pattern, fabric, and trim for the jacket so I just need to do the actual work of putting everything together. :3 Oh, and I need to get a haircut. XD

LoL yup supplies were surprisingly cheap, although the finished product looked ok...I was planning to make Misa's DN as well as Light's, but since Misa's turned out kinda ok, I might re-make another one...although I must say, it looks so awesome for my first try!!! And that's saying a lot cos I'm pretty klutzy when it comes to spraypaint XD

I'm about 2/3rd done painting my 3 eggs plaid for my Amu costume. Also, don't paint anything plaid, especially not curved surfaces, unless you really enjoy and excel at painting straight lines. Eeeeesh.
After painting them, I need to get the keychain holders so I can attach them to the belt, and make the skirt, leg warmers, and hair barrettes. And arm band. And attach cuffs to jacket. And buckles. And probably 10 other things I'm forgetting. YAY!

Ran into problems with my Pit blades.  I'll have to remake them, but for now they will have to do.  I have to finish painting them.

Green Ranger's suit is almost done.  The Power Shield is and the Dragon Dagger are 50% finished.  I'll probably leave the Dragon Dagger half-finished (one side is done) because I need to concentrate on getting my other important props and cosplays finished on time.  I still am waiting for the leather boots to arrive.  Then I need to paint them and pretty them up to look like Green Ranger's boots.  Still have to do the gauntlets too.

Fixing Cerberus.  The paint started to come off, and the paper clay chipped a bit.  The crystals keep falling off.  But, they are being re-glued! XD

That's my update for now.  More to come two days before the con.  Now THAT post should have a nice mix of chaos and worry. lolz

There is still time to make a jacket for the Jr. High uniform if you can sew. I found some good patterns for it and you can find the trim at Wal*Mart. http://www.simplicity.com/index.cfm?cat=6&type=0&sec=71&startrow=1 I'd recommend pattern 6728 or 6435. (By the way, for anyone who is interested, New Look 6599 would make really good lolita tops.)

I'm altering the bodice pattern for my dress for Akane. I'll be pinning both it and the blouse tonight, cutting them out, and pinning the pieces together. After that it's just a few hours worth of sewing to finish. I'm dyeing the wig today as well, so it has time to dry out, be rinsed, and then cut and styled. Not much styling to do, really, just trimming the bangs a little, maybe an hour's work at most.

I need to haul my Lum things out of storage and make sure there's no repairs needed. The wig at least needs to be combed through before I wear it again. And I'm going to alter the boot tops slightly.

So...Akane 40%. Lum 90%. Ranma-chan 98% (just need to wash and iron the top).

I just decided: I'm going to do Lum's school uniform. The winter version. I already have the skirt and the fabric and pattern for the top, I just have to put it together. Fuku are pretty simple so I should be able to handle it. I think I even have sneakers that work for her...let's say that one's at 65% done. (I'm coming with a school-uniform Ataru, too!)

So I'm going to have 4 cosplays. And I'm only going to be there Saturday afternoon and Sunday. But it'll be so cool if I can pull it off! Old school cosplay is awesome.

Itsuki Koizumi: Jacket almost finished, need to add buttons, pockets, and "M" on breast pocket. I have everything else.

Ritsuka Aoyagi: Cut wig and sew ears into it, and make the tail. (have the clothes already, whoot!)

Irvine Kinneas (casual version): My vest isn't exactly con-ready, and neither are the chaps. So I'm doing a more casual Irvine Kinneas. I've fixed up the jacket and untangled the wig. Now I just need to find a nice purple shirt to wear instead of the vest. (I figured sticking to his shirt color was a good idea).

then today, i got my legs waxed, got sick as a dog and had to skip out on con shopping. i'm afraid of what will happen next. T_T
As for the costume and accessories, i have the socks, the long sleeved blouse, the skirt needs to be sown together, the blazer still needs to be constructed, and my feet are blistered from braking in the loafers. oh yeah, and the red tie still needs to be made.

I decided a day ago to cosplay Luneth from FF III (the DS version), and I'm fairly surprised to have all the pieces I need already. I just need to modify a few things, namely the vest, which is actually a jacket I am turning into the vest...but at least it will be passable (I hope ^__^;. I'm also hoping to find a pair of brown gloves tomorrow rather than the black pair I got today. (Anyone have any ideas as to where to find any? I live in Tigard, which is right next to Portland. I'm going to Goodwill tomorrow I hope, in order to see if they have a pair.)

I bleached my hair with the help of a friend today, and I need to get sliver hair spray and play with my hair for a while to try and experiment and figure out what works best.

Honestly this is one of the easiest costumes I've ever put together...considering that I happened to have about half the costume already.

I decided a day ago to cosplay Luneth from FF III (the DS version), and I'm fairly surprised to have all the pieces I need already. I just need to modify a few things, namely the vest, which is actually a jacket I am turning into the vest...but at least it will be passable (I hope ^__^;. I'm also hoping to find a pair of brown gloves tomorrow rather than the black pair I got today. (Anyone have any ideas as to where to find any? I live in Tigard, which is right next to Portland. I'm going to Goodwill tomorrow I hope, in order to see if they have a pair.)

I bleached my hair with the help of a friend today, and I need to get sliver hair spray and play with my hair for a while to try and experiment and figure out what works best.

Honestly this is one of the easiest costumes I've ever put together...considering that I happened to have about half the costume already.
