Unfortunately, the deadline for reserving hotel rooms was August 17th.  There may still be rooms available at the hotel, but we cannot confirm that they will offer the $89/night price.  Your best best would be to call the hotel and ask if the group rate is still available.

It's also always good for the con for the hotel to know you are staying there because of the con, even if you are too late for the room rate.  It helps us in negotiating prices for next year.

I don't know if this helps but I was still able to reserve a room with the group rate a couple days ago...

Yeah, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to. I used to work at a hotel (years ago, I'd rather forget it...), and their rates are actually pretty negotiable. Even if you can't get the group rate, you should still be able to get some sort of discount from them.
