Greetings from Gaming!

This year, if you are planning a costume from a video game, we want to see you in gaming! You may stop by the gaming room any time to have your photo taken, and we will put up a special gallery after the con just for the video game characters. We're also considering a large group shot for a couple games - i.e., all Final Fantasy Characters, all fighting game characters, etc. Let me know what you think!

A quick note about the hall next to Gaming.

That hall might be busier than I expected. The exhibitor hall downstairs is planning on using the driveway as its only entrance so people will likely be walking in and out that exit a lot as they go shopping.

So much for the great photo taking plan.

Oh I *DO* hope the following game characters show up:
(1) from the very first video game ever, PONG, let's see the white paddle and ball. :lol:
(2) from the game HACK (note lack of "dot"...this is the original game, also sometimes known as "Rogue")... the main character "@" :lol:

doh when I saw the thread title I was gonna say as I cosplay old school I should put on a cube shaped box and cosplay pong, i get some stuff in white cube shaped boxes 3 feet on the side

Vondan: Guy would be happy to be the other pong paddle. Do you have MP3s of the sounds from the original game (originated around 1957...) ? This could be fun or at least painfully silly. We may have to have a random "guest appearance" even if you aren't entered in Cosplay...

I'd like to see a skit to this - pong back and forth for a minute or two, then all of a sudden pac man crashes the party and eats the ball. Then crazy flashing lights and techno dancing. Yes?

Sure, as long as it's from a video game. We'll have an update con weekend as to when and where the group photos will take place.

I'm hoping to get a big Guilty Gear group going to Kumoricon~ If not I know at least a couple of my friends as well as me will be there as GG people so we'll be sure to come to gaming ;3

I'll be cosplaying as Shadow the Hedgehog again this year. =3 He's from the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series. I don't know which day I'll be cosplaying as him however.. It all depends on which day the Death Note photoshoot is. ^^;

But yes, this is definately a good idea!

I have a cosplay of Mithos from the game Tales of Symphonia that I made for and wore at SakuraCon this year... I'll probably bring that with me and wear it at some point during the weekend. I'll be sure to drop by! ^_^

ummm....to date i have yet to actually cosplay anything from an actual anime. all the stuff ive made for myself has been from video games.

im doin a twilight princess group. and a harvest moon (<3) group. and have a partial ff12 sub character thing simmering on the back burner, thats like...the last thing im going to get to, if i even get to it since the other groups have 5+ people in them...plus commissions. im workin hard this year.

That sounds like a good idea, for those who cosplay video game characters.. I'd be up for it! Last year I cosplayed Vincent Valentine (FFVII) and this year I am attending as Barret Wallace (FFVII). I look forward to seeing other video game cosplayers, and other FF characters specifically.

I will be going as 2 game characters. The first is Astaroth from SC 2...I wear it every year to Sakura Con since 2002 and the 2nd is Potemkin from GGXX. This will be my first Kumoricon XD!

I'll definatly have my Tseng costume, as my cosplay group will be parading around as the Turks for at least one day. HOPING to have my Sephiroth costume finished in time, but we'll see how that goes. (Not that it isn't finished; it's a costume I've worn for several cons, I'm just tearing it to bits and aiming for perfection. ^^; )
